Hi Charles. Been without the tinternet for about 3 weeks. It was my lifeline to the world during lock-down as I have no working TV. Found you again this morning as soon as I was connected. Love your demos and learn a lot from your teaching methods. However, I too am a Northern lad and grass should be pronounced GRASS, proudly and without apologies to a less fortunate populace. Thanks so much for the lovely work that you share with us all.
Another brilliant painting. I'm pining for the coast at the moment - haven't been out of the house for months - I have COPD - but your reflection technique will certainly find its way on to memories of the North coast of the Llyn Peninsula later in the week. Thanks again for keeping me sane. Keith
Charles love your teaching, I didn't realize that I have your book "Boats & Harbours"! I'll try your techniques , I try to paint too detailed and need to loosen up! Thanks so much! Rich Banks in California! 👍👍👍👍
Watched you over the years with delight , and thank you for your latest version. My wife and I used to visit Northumberland quite a bit and nearly 50 years ago we had our honeymoon up there which started our love with the place ....and what a beautiful place it is... If a bit wind swept. You haven't changed much and I am still enthralled with your painting. I do thank you for inspiring me to paint. Now a days I have moved on to painting and researching Paul Cezanne , BUT the point is you have to start somewhere , and I am very pleased I came across yourself in earlier days which gave me a good start . Thank you.
Wow, that was quite a story about your tiny paintings from years ago! You are such a joy to watch and you have me giggling throughout your video with your sense of humor. I especially loved the red wine stroke you used in this particular painting. LOL!!!
👍👍👍🌏👍👍👍 (Nz) Brilliant.... brilliant. Methinks you also have an instrument hiding in the next room also, lol. Love your paintings, Love your perspectives used too. Love the depth and ambience. Bugger, Now I need to paint. 🙂🙂🙂 I like the Yorkshire connection..
Charles, I have a strong feeling of buying your book... but have to gather my thoughts as to what else on your site as well. Lol. You will be hearing from me.. we dont have flashy stuff here down under much. Only fishnChips on a dark stormy night. I have done a few paint scetches but want to get my teeth more into it... to combine with other thoughts. Cheers to you till then.
Beautiful. I certainly learned quite a bit here Charles. Love the cloud reflection in the beach water..I am certainly going to incorporate this technique into my own painting. Thank you Charles, I always look forward to your next acrylic painting lesson. Ps, lovely little aside about your postage stamp painting! Also, you book "Acrylic painting for absolute beginners", is absolutely superb, and I can well recommend it to anyone..loads of projects and examples and tips. Lovely book.
I went in for a painting lesson and in a bit I was feeling the breeze on my face, the dogs splashing around and the wave pushing my feet into the sand... I really didn’t want it to end! And at the same time, the silly captions had me laughing 😂 myself under the table, the way they reinterpret your comments is a show unto itself 🤣😅😆 So thank you Charles in Northumberland🌎for a lovely painting 🖼, thoroughly enjoyed in this quarantine day by me, in the north part of California ☀️... Thank you again and please keep your lovely 😊 painting lessons coming ❗️ My name is Marisa and I am fan❗️
