- Hailed as a prop sensation and heir apparent to England's scrummaging future, Asher Opoku-Fordjour impressed on the international stage for England's Under-20s side during the Six Nations and subsequent Rugby Championship.
Since then, he's been making strides for Sale Sharks as a reliable prop that can play both tight-head and loose-head; not least to mention his understated try-scoring abilities and silky hands that are making him an exciting player to watch.
Here's his tribute!

Exciting. Just came across your channel - developing youth highlights are just what I’ve been looking for, thank you - keep ‘em coming please!
Welcome to my channel, good sir!
My primary focus is to cover players who are yet to receive tributes, especially youngsters like Asher Opoku, so I hope you enjoy my future videos.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Can't wait for his debut off the bench on Sunday against Japan, he will have a bright future.
@@tedstanford3121 Ecstatic for him, Ted. At long last we're starting to see new talent permeate the front row again.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I hope this tribute has earned your subscription!
Much needed talent! Hoping to see him in the senior squad in a few years time.
Only a matter of time, in my opinion. If Borthwick has chosen to omit him for now, it's the right call. He needs lots of game time and exposure to as much opposition as possible.
The future looks bright. Very bright.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
I hope he keeps on developing as I can certainly see him as an England tighthead
Ditto!
If he's sitting down Mako V, Joe Marler and Andrew Porter already, don't be surprised to see him as a member of the development squad next Six Nations.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@StanWilks good analysis and we are short on tightwads atm especially in comparison to loose heads. Your channel seems great 👍
@@pondbus1ness We need all the help we can get, especially against heavyweight giants like South Africa. Praying for squad depth! Haha.
Thank you so much, James!
Now that Joe Marler has retired from England ( again!) for good this time, its time this for this kid, he was unreal during the Under 20s World Cup, can't wait to see how he goes!
@@tedstanford3121 We'll have to see how long this next iteration of retirement lasts, knowing Joe. 😂
But potentially seeing Opoku-Fordjour on the international stage is something that all England fans can get behind.
Off the bench against Australia? 🤔
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Would love to see him make his debut against Australia next week, we shall see!
Great work mate, I'm sure he'll be a big part of England's plans going forward. Any plans for a Fin Baxter tribute?
Thanks, Glen!
Great to hear from you again. He's still wet behind the ears but Opoku-Fordjour would be my wild card choice for England's summer squad. You never know!
As for Fin Baxter, I'll have to make him one of my summer projects. All Things Rugby also inquired about a tribute of him, so clearly he's in need of one.
Thanks for watching and for the recommendation!
It’s interesting how England under 20’s have used him as a loosehead where as Sale play him at tighthead. I hope he stays on the tighthead for England’s sake.
@@darthmaul408 Agreed. But the fact that he can cover multiple positions gives England a distinct advantage, and some much needed options at prop.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@StanWilks very true. I’m just more concerned when I see the options at tighthead at the moment. Other than Davison and Painter, everyone else has had a go and not looked up to the task.
@@darthmaul408 Very hard to look past that. International is a huge step up from domestic rugby and most players just can't take that leap. No offense to them, of course.
Maybe we should get a sample of the Colar Bear's DNA and create clones of him. Nothing in the rulebook says we can't. 😂
Please can you do a Ross Vintcent video! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
I can certainly do something about that, Joe. I've got a Harry Thacker tribute to prioritise and then I'll be right on it.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@StanWilks Thank you so much! I love your videos!
@@__Joestone__ You're more than welcome, my friend. I really appreciate the kind words!
It's now uploaded, Joe. Hope you enjoy!
Can we put him at 12? 😅
Converted inside centre!
The english cluching at straws here. Paddy McCarthy for Leinster, Ireland got his opposite number during the most recent world cup and 6 nation u20's.
No player is perfect at nineteen, especially at prop. He's got plenty to learn. But the signs of promise are there.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Typical response from the Irish. Your team is awful for the last 5 decades, as soon as they supposedly become “the best team in the world” you all start acting like the oracle on how it’s done.
@@tomjoyce6365 Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning 😂 Our clubs and country have been doing better than England for the last 5-10 years. Also you have the most Irish of surnames 🤦🏻♂️
@@harryocallaghan8082No. England have beaten Ireland in 10 out of the last 17 matches. England has more 6 nations titles than Ireland.
And Irelands record at World Cups is frankly rubbish.😅
Nice try Paddy.
