- I'm a huge fan of the Colonial Marine armor in Aliens! I always thought it was some of the coolest scifi armor ever created and now I want to make a set of my own! All of the armor is made out of eva foam so it is extremely light and takes paint really well. The video also includes Free PDF templates if you would like to make one too! That looks really good. I noticed it's not that east to make a template. I'm trying to make one of a weapon I seen but can't find who has it for sale. Glad I Screen shot it

Love this!! Are you going to be doing the other armor pieces like the shin guards, ab plate, and helmet parts? Im doing a colonial marine costume for a con coming up in less that a month so thats why im asking.
Yes but I not going to be done anywhere close to that timeline. I’m going to be out of town several times for conventions

question: is there a reason 'gap filler' was used and not foam clay?
I had some on hand and hadn’t ever used it on a large project figured it was about time to use some
I just finished repainting a Nerf rifle - this comes at the most opportune time.

Unfortunately no my products are US based look at polyprops overseas. Not quite as good as mine but better than floor mats.

Thanks! I don’t use software to create my templates they are all hand drawn on poster board. After they are drawn out I just scan them into my photoshop to trace them for the PDFs you all use.

I made a passable version of this back in 87 or 88 with two hard sided back braces and a pair of football pads 🤣😂😆 ! These are fantastic looking!
