5:27 Thanks a bunch for this tip. I had to glue some trim down today and was dreading all the relief cuts (and seams) I thought I'd have to make. Tacking down the edge + heat gun worked very well!
Love it. Thanks. I like whats hanging on your wall behind you, to match the armor theme. Would be cool to make one. You've found your calling, it appears. Cheers.
Love this going to keep it for future reference!, On the issue with the contact cement I use thicker stuff when making foam armour either an even thing layer or two leave it to air dry for 3 to 5 minute's and I get a solid adhesion, I hope that maybe helps :D
Yep, those are great glues, unfortunately neither of them is easily available in Canada where I live. I also am a little leery of using any solvent based contact cement without excellent ventilation and lung protection. It's one of those things a lot of people don't think about until it's too late......
the contact cement trouble may come from the fact it's water based sadly, I've used that kinda stuff before, anx it's okay for no or very low stress seams, sometimes, but I avoid it for anything much more than a straight flat seam
How about a Proton Pack and Neutrona Wand build of a fully customised one from Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed? That game is awesome and I love how the customization options are original, but still fit into the universe aesthetically. Plus its something different from the standard one.
What an amazing job! Thanks for sharing with us😃, i can't find this pattern in the shop, wanted to buy it along with the knight armor pattern to make the full set, will you upload it to the shop?
Very cool I’m working on getting the supplies for my knight set and I can’t seem to find contact cement anywhere in my region and I’m just wondering if there’s any alternative I could use instead?
First off, maybe contact cement goes by a different name in your region possibly? I think if you asked someone who makes cabinets or woodworker, they might be able to steer you in the right direction. Alternatively, hot glue works pretty well for holding foam, as does cyanoacrylate glue (superglue)- though it's better for smaller things. Hope that helps, I'd love to know where you are from and if you find anything- it might help someone with a similar problem!
Hmmm... I could use the shape and building technique from this and build the predecessor of the round thingie with a star and stripes partly visible to the left at the end of the video. Wonder what that could be? 🤔😛 And for that matter, perhaps i should make that one as well? Only the Wakandan version would be missing then... Thanks for another not too complicated build and pattern added to the Ultimate Everything Super Value Pattern Bundle. It's getting more and more worth the money 😀 (No chance of you making the Wakandan version as well? To complete the collection)
I can't remember on that one specifically, but you can totally get away with using artists acrylics, I use the liquitex basics brand a lot. Even better though is Plaid Fx paints, they're made to be flexible for foam.
Hi. My son and I just bought your patterns. We are making the mechanical arm. I was wondering if you offer your patterns as CAD drawing. I converted your PDFs to CAD and cut the EVA with my laser cutter. WOW for accuracy and speed! But it did take some time to convert the double lined PDFs.
Very cool. I like that even an awesome artist like you can have issues and you're not afraid to say so.
For sure! I mess things up all the time😁
So very cool! Love that you got a bonus secret cosplay tool with the purchase of your home 😄
😂 totally!! and a LOT of it!

Thanks, that's good info!! Learning all the time:)
That adhesive looked interesting🤔. Another nice pattern 💪
Your using water based cement that's the issue. All cosplayers use Wellwood or Barge contact cement for all Eva foam projects.

Thanks for sharing! Your videos are always amazingly awesome!
Nice to see a new video of your creations 😊
Thank you! 😊
Very very very cool! Thank you for uploading! Great video as always!
Another great video Chris, thank you. I will eventually get around to making use of your excellent patterns... honest!
HES BACK!!!!
Awesome shield, would work great for a Link costume. Have a Happy Halloween.
Yes, it really would......Happy Halloween to you too:)
Great job, I hope to see a Knight's sword, Knight's Crossbow and/or Morning Star Mace,
I do have a sword already here: ua-cam.com/video/yU1h_eh4iKE/v-deo.html but I really like the idea of a mace.
Love it. Thank you!
Narwhal, narwhal, swimming in the ocean, causing a commotion, cause they are so awesome

Yeah, I have used it often for large flat areas(like this shield) and it generally works alright. No joy this time though.
Thank you. Fun tutorial.
I’d like to request a tutorial on a kids costume for Rhino from Spidey & His Amazing Friends! 🙏🏼
You just saved my project 😂 thank you bro
Glad I could help 😁
Looks great!👍
Kite shield: Effort. Hard. Can look great at the end.
Tower Shied: Its literally a rectangle you curve. Just make large rectangle. Curve it.
I have been making leather armor, and barge is the best.
Barge is definitely the best. Just don't inhale:)

Hmm, sound fun, but I likely will not have the time:(
Thank you very much! Awesome!
You're welcome!
@@LostWax Can you share the brand of glue you use in the video?
@@XKupfer I used Lepages low odour water based contact cement.
I noticed the Welsh Dragon design on the black shield, have you got any connection to Wales.??
No, I don't have any connection....just loved the dragon!
was your contact cement really old by chance? I know some of that stuff can go bad over time
looks great.
Thank you! Cheers!
What an amazing job! Thanks for sharing with us😃, i can't find this pattern in the shop, wanted to buy it along with the knight armor pattern to make the full set, will you upload it to the shop?
The shield is included with the knight armor pattern, so if you get that, you should be good to go for the full knight costume.
another good one, thanks
You bet!
thanks for the update
You're welcome:)
Nice one! :)
Thanks! 😄
This is a realy cosplay!
Just a little advice, try using harder materials because an arrow will go through this shield.

Awesome thanks
You bet!
you can make a steampunk style glove

😂 Indeed! Not sure if I'll make the Wakandan version, I never really liked it, so it's not high on my list.....
@@LostWax - True, it doesn't have any of the classic feel of the other two
Very Nicely Done Chris! Are you gunna do any more steampunk patterns?
Yeppers! Any suggestions?
What kind of black paint did you use, was it anything specific for Eva foam?
I can't remember on that one specifically, but you can totally get away with using artists acrylics, I use the liquitex basics brand a lot. Even better though is Plaid Fx paints, they're made to be flexible for foam.
Genial!!
the shield should have the same design as the breastplate... it was a knights i.d
Where is the link to the shield? I can't find it on your page 😢
Can you make a deadmau5 head?
is it possible to have the copy of your paper patern? thank you so much❤
I only have PDF printable patterns available, you can get this one on my website.
Do a sword next please
Already ahead of you:) ua-cam.com/video/yU1h_eh4iKE/v-deo.html
Could you do a Sci-Fi armor costume?
What kind of style were you thinking of? Any ideas are muchly appreciated!
@@LostWax A heavily armored infantry, or a royal guard of some sorts.
@@micahjensen2882 Ahh, yes, that would be fun! We'll see, but those are great ideas!

Hey there, Yes, I am looking at possibly going through my templates and making them so they'll work for laser cutters, I've just gotta find the time:)
@@LostWax Sounds good. I will email you any of the ones I have converted as I make them. Thanks!
hi i just wanted to know about the knight armour template it costs 15$ but i am a child who wants to make this and i am broke is there a free veresion
Haha! those mouths are breathing
