If the fulcrums are incorrectly adjusted, the animation will differ, even when utilizing the Retargeting tool.
I'm thinking you can practice on the program and then when you're able to get a paid plan through a job, you can use it to pay them to export. I think it's pretty fair.

Damn. Got the indie version for free, but for some reason my Nvidia GPU doesn't want to co-operate and botches Cascadeur's viewport drawing. I already sent a bug report to devs, but annoying, I never had such troubles with the previous versions.
Just a note: 'Animation retargeting' and 'Interaction with environment in AutoPhysics' (the interaction with objects you are showing) and Scene linking tool are NOT in the Indie version, Pro version is 399$/MONTH.
I feel like their program will explode once this gets intregrated into blender itself or unreal etc. Some big company will prob buy them up since more studios are picking it up.
The only problem with cascadeur is video mocap right now. It is free, yes, but it is useful for simple short animation. Never use it to create dances or something complicated. You'll have to almost redo whole animation and it won't guarantee that it will be good, as mocap gives alot of trembling, translation issues and other things to be fixed. For complicated things it's much faster to create your own animation rather than using mocap. At least autoposing helps with that

I had issues with retargeting during testing, but with the released version I wasn't able to reproduce it.
what are we supposed to do with Casc files? What`s the point of using the free plan in general?

As @AnnisNaeemOfficial said, you can learn how the software works. And if you like it you can upgrade to inidie or pro.
