  • Indian history is full of interesting women, but perhaps foremost among them is Rudrama Devi, a Telugu Queen whose rule as Queen-Regnant of the famed Kakatiya Dynasty lasted for thirty years.
During this time, she fought off a number of different adversaries, and continued in her father's footsteps, implementing many impactful social reforms. Even today, the water tanks installed during her reign see use.
Whether you're looking for a feminist perspective on Indian history, or are simply looking to understand a storied dynasty and one of its greatest rulers, it is worth getting to know Rudrama Devi.
    Enjoy!

Its easier to be a queen than to finish education, she had 14 feudal vassals, all of them taught statecraft since they were kids, she was given training in statecraft herself and also had 2 of the greatest war tacticians in south indian history... her prime minister was a famed politician and was called machiavelli of the east by marco polo... what did you have as a 16 year old, these royals had it all... I respect people like venna deva and durjaya, having formed not 1, not 2 but 3 different great feudal kingdoms, the velanati cholas, the Nellor Ambadikas and the kakatiyas... great people build their empires not inherit

Bharatiya from the south were staunch followers to santan dharma. We adore southern manifestations of the dharma with it's own culture that is the beauty of sanatan parampara . You're very welcome! I am actually improving the speed of completing videos (should have been done about 4-5 days ago), so things should be moving along faster from now on :)

Actually, it’s more a matter of just getting some time on my end - I’ve been swamped! The community can help a lot by sharing these videos around. That helps so much with visibility!
