Both are great machines, thanks for sharing. Would love to see more mud and deep woods videos.

Very nice rigs. I currently have a 2017 commander which has been a reliable machine , and before that I had a rzr xp. The last big ride I went t on I took one of the defenders in the group for a spin. The next day I ordered a defender . Lol. I find the upright seating more comfortable and the machine very quiet. I guess I am getting older, the sporty machines don’t appeal to me anymore. Great video. 👍.

I would not trade my defender for anything else, when it comes to working its the hardest working rig, comfy for long rides and when you want to go play in the mud its got the grunt to get you in and out.

    Awesome ride, another fun day.
6x6 are tough to beat for multiple terrain considering the price range.

That would suck so much if you broke down out there in the middle of nowhere.

I have a 23 Limited 6x6 on order, due in a couple weeks. Now that it comes from factory with 30" tires and updated suspension with more travel and ground clearance, it should be really good on trails totally stock. My son just bought a Yamaha YXZ1000xtr SS and I think I made a good choice of a quiet, AC cooled, living room couch to ride trails in. I'm 70 so the noisy buggy doesn't really do much for me now. (his is very cool, though) At least mine should attract attention because not many of them on trails. Maybe put Powerwagon emblems with a bulldog Mack hood ornament for fun.

They keep up very well in trails! Mine is a 22 but opted out of full cab simply because I use it for mud and work

Looking at getting one of these. I am a total noob when it comes to 6x6. Can am says these are meant for work and not trails or mud. Do you think they are good all around? My property has a mix of trails and mud and I plan to use it for felling trees as well.
    Thank you

The 6x6 can be equipped with nearly all the same components as the xmr straight from the dealer! This is in my opinion the most capable work utv on the market! If you equip it with good tires it is scary capable in the mud to. I have been in some very questionable areas with this side by side. All i recommend is a snatch block incase you do end up getting stuck because this can be a very heavy unit to get unstuck. I have the can am 4500 winch and with a snatch block its not hard to get out in the event you get stuck and that does not happen all that often… trail wise it is surprisingly nimble and very comfortable. I can reach 100km/hr no problem. Pretty good turning radius to. I would get a second one if I could! Keep in touch with the channel its getting a few good mods for
This spring to make it absolutely unstoppable in the mud!! I love my unit and wouldn’t trade it for any other side by side. I have a property I am in the process of developing and it gets worked very hard and I will start posting alot of content on this side by side ones snow starts to melt

Do you think it does better in the mud than a 4x4?

On a stock format probably not. But with a good set of mud tires and a good driver its nearly unstoppable… the 4x4 defender is a beast of a rig but with a but of mud modification on the 6x6 you will walk right by most 4x4 rigs

Where do you by lift kit and arched a arms for the 6x6

    • @northernheaven2503

My bike doesn’t have this kit, but from my understanding the kit installed on his bike is discontinued. The 6x6 accepts the raked front a arms for the regulator defender giving you the clearance to run 32’s upfront. At the moment no one makes the raked rear a arm for the 6x6 but depending on the rubber of your tire the rear can accept up to 32 stock but in some cases will rub with speed. Safest bet is to run 30s-31s. There might be a possibility to buy arched and raked front and back a arms for a regular 4x4 defender and order a set of non raked arched rear a arms of the same lift to replace the center a arms. I’m not 100% on this in the process of researching it for myself.
