How can you not be a believer in 4wd? Would’ve saved you so much time backing out of there.

Both are great machines, thanks for sharing. Would love to see more mud and deep woods videos.
Wrong! You do not bend anything! The reason you destroyed yours is because you were doing it wrong. The part you bent is a pull tab. You need to lift the wiper away from the windshield a few inches, which unlocks the mechanism. You then pull the tab and remove the wiper arm.
As stated in the video, I destroyed it trying to figure it out, second wiper on the other hand was not destroyed. Considering the wiper arm had been on since 1990 in the lovely rust belt of canada the tab couldn’t simply be pulled open. Tab had to be bent straight just to get a grip to pull and unlock the mechanism. That tab was bent with the wiper up simply trying to unlock the mechanism. If someone can do it without bending it all the power to them but when metal on metal doesn’t move for 30+ years leverage is often key. No damage was caused to that arm and the tab was bent straight back to its original position with no fuss
@@northernheaven2503 Understood 👍🏼 You got me beat by 3 years. I definitely put some antiseize on mine before reinstalling.
Man I grew up in the U.P. Of Michigan. I swear looks identical to your area. Just across the pond but lord till I seen your Ontario response I was going to ask if you were a Yooper
I have a 23 Limited 6x6 on order, due in a couple weeks. Now that it comes from factory with 30" tires and updated suspension with more travel and ground clearance, it should be really good on trails totally stock. My son just bought a Yamaha YXZ1000xtr SS and I think I made a good choice of a quiet, AC cooled, living room couch to ride trails in. I'm 70 so the noisy buggy doesn't really do much for me now. (his is very cool, though) At least mine should attract attention because not many of them on trails. Maybe put Powerwagon emblems with a bulldog Mack hood ornament for fun.
They keep up very well in trails! Mine is a 22 but opted out of full cab simply because I use it for mud and work
What’s on that for a can?
GGB mountain
Is that 30" tires on her l have a 2022 6x6 Defender want to put a set of 30" XPS swamp force . Do anyone know if they will fit thanks
At the time of this video I was running 28s. For this season I will be running 32s. If you look at my other videos you can see one with my buddies rig and he runs 32s.
Will I have change anything from stock to put 30" on my 6x6 Defender Nice video stay safe
@@57Pad no nothing will have to be changed to fit 30’s.
@@57Pad going any bigger i recommend forward a arms just so you don’t rub while turning tires with load on the suspension but you will be fine with 30’s
Thanks Looking at the XPS Swamp Force hope they will be better than the Big horn 2.0 27x11x14
Looking at getting one of these. I am a total noob when it comes to 6x6. Can am says these are meant for work and not trails or mud. Do you think they are good all around? My property has a mix of trails and mud and I plan to use it for felling trees as well. Thank you
The 6x6 can be equipped with nearly all the same components as the xmr straight from the dealer! This is in my opinion the most capable work utv on the market! If you equip it with good tires it is scary capable in the mud to. I have been in some very questionable areas with this side by side. All i recommend is a snatch block incase you do end up getting stuck because this can be a very heavy unit to get unstuck. I have the can am 4500 winch and with a snatch block its not hard to get out in the event you get stuck and that does not happen all that often… trail wise it is surprisingly nimble and very comfortable. I can reach 100km/hr no problem. Pretty good turning radius to. I would get a second one if I could! Keep in touch with the channel its getting a few good mods for This spring to make it absolutely unstoppable in the mud!! I love my unit and wouldn’t trade it for any other side by side. I have a property I am in the process of developing and it gets worked very hard and I will start posting alot of content on this side by side ones snow starts to melt
Very nice rigs. I currently have a 2017 commander which has been a reliable machine , and before that I had a rzr xp. The last big ride I went t on I took one of the defenders in the group for a spin. The next day I ordered a defender . Lol. I find the upright seating more comfortable and the machine very quiet. I guess I am getting older, the sporty machines don’t appeal to me anymore. Great video. 👍.
I would not trade my defender for anything else, when it comes to working its the hardest working rig, comfy for long rides and when you want to go play in the mud its got the grunt to get you in and out.
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed much more content come spring time but with can am not having tracks for the 6x6 it is parked for the winter
easy if you know what to do, right? Thanks for posting this!
Glad i could help. I sure miss this truck. Will get another one soon enough
where is this at? what part of the country?
Northern ontario
Mine sounded just like that then died and won’t stay running I do have a minor oil leak and I think it might be low on oil so I’ll have to put some in
Sounds like oil pressure. 6.0’s need 500psi minimum to run.
Your best bet is fill it to proper oil level, plug it in let the block warm up, and find someone with and sct tuner or any tuner with live gauges so you can diagnose what is going wrong and where. Tuner can tell you if its oil pressure, voltage, ficm…
@@northernheaven2503 I have sct and ficm was above 45v(48v) I’ll check oil pressure thanks
@@riceqo6953 what was the ficm receiving? The healthiest would be 13.5-14 on cold starts mine will receive 11.5 but as fast idle kick on it charges to 14
Things sound gutless at low rpms
It sure was. It has over size carbs as it was used in the 90’s to drag race. The new owner of this sled has since put smaller carbs and gets alot better lower end power
Nice! Would love to see more cold starts of this! 😁
Winter is just starting!
Be cool to have someone outside getting video of the more interesting sections of trail, it's hard to get a feel for it when it's all in cab. Thanks.
I will soon, ordered a tripod will get some decent content
Do you think it does better in the mud than a 4x4?
On a stock format probably not. But with a good set of mud tires and a good driver its nearly unstoppable… the 4x4 defender is a beast of a rig but with a but of mud modification on the 6x6 you will walk right by most 4x4 rigs
I have a 6x6 Argo, I avoid the mudd....like a sissy!
How fast can you drive with windshield half open before it would flex enough to brake I’ve got one just wondering
Im not to sure, ive gone about 60km/hr with it fully opened and didn’t have any issues and have ran it pretty regularly full speed with the windshield opened just a crack on the vent setting or whatever its called and never experienced any issues. I have although broken a handle but dealer replaced it with no questions asked.
Where do you by lift kit and arched a arms for the 6x6
My bike doesn’t have this kit, but from my understanding the kit installed on his bike is discontinued. The 6x6 accepts the raked front a arms for the regulator defender giving you the clearance to run 32’s upfront. At the moment no one makes the raked rear a arm for the 6x6 but depending on the rubber of your tire the rear can accept up to 32 stock but in some cases will rub with speed. Safest bet is to run 30s-31s. There might be a possibility to buy arched and raked front and back a arms for a regular 4x4 defender and order a set of non raked arched rear a arms of the same lift to replace the center a arms. I’m not 100% on this in the process of researching it for myself.

@@northernheaven2503 lifesaver bro. Got the wipers off in under 5 minutes without any damage. People scratch their cowl horribly prying these off and the mechanism is so simple and easy when u know how. New motor and bushings installed, no more pulling string 😎 I know the feeling of being drained financially by these trucks, but hopefully one day you can get back into it. Cheers.

Yes it sure is and I miss running it!
unload tip the the wagon on its side lock the stabilitator tubes and put some wood under the bandplates. done deal.
Unloaded, wood infront or rear wheels and she pulled herself up and out, made a platform over the hole, reloaded the cart and finished the strip no problems. This was also the first day we ran the 584, prior we ran a 574 which we still run but it floats much better in the swampy areas
