Uzumaki is probably his most famous series other than Tomie. It's super weird, very unsettling, and also surprisingly funny. Junji Ito isnt a very serious person, he loves horror, but he also loves comedy and goofiness.
Finally someone who’s honest about seeing azami’s eye spiral already a lot of reactors pretend like they didn’t already see it in the thumbnail before hitting play XD

The spiral reminds me of the golden ratio a mathematical shape of nature. Galaxies, flowers, faces, snails and sea shells like the nautilus.

To me it’s like H.P. Lovecraft, the main deference is Lovecraft is an older era in the west.
