What made the 2nd Gen F bodies so heavy? My first car was a red 1976 Camaro with its original 305. There was no 350 ci option that year. That car was amazing. It FELT much lighter than said by some. That same 1976 Camaro is STILL up and running today with a broken bolt bouncing around inside the engine. It starts and goes fine every time.
V-6 were the Holy Grail for you.. I re-built a .351 Cleveland V-8 in High school. Where did I put it? 1989 DECH Mustang LX with full skirts kit and 265/50 R15 rims 5 spoke. My Toy went from 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds.

Yes it was! 1969 was literally the year the Trans Am was introduced, look for a 69 Firebird painted white, with blue racing stripes & also blue painted wheels. It was the 1st Trans Am, do your research better.
No 89 Turbo Trans-Am? You know the one that did 0-60 in 4.6 seconds and pissed Chevy off at Pontiac because it was over-shadowing the C4 ZR-1 when it first came out?
The Pontiac bird with 3 headlights one on side of the grill and two on the other side must be a real collector's item. Or maybe it's just one of those cars made first shift following the Superbowl. Either way it's testament to the consistent everyday quality of the American legends channel; Muscle Cars for Dummies.

Why must so many confuse fasted with quickest? Begining with the 62 Catalina 2 + 2 is appropriate. That quickness record stood for many years. Still, not Fast & whomever you report from any GM product is still not fastest.

Hello, @AmericanLegends. I'm #DOUG at @gyd.guitars🎸 Great PONTIAC Muscle Cars and HOT ROD machines here on The Video. ALL OF-EM. However. I had-me a Pontiac, too. I'd to share with y'all just some of what accomplished with my graduation present #MyMOMpaid-for, if you don't mind. And. I'll try-to be-quick 'bout-it. I had-me a box-stock 1977 Firebird Trans Am. Black paint, black leather seats. Sure, it wasn't @SmokeyandTheBandit without #HoneycombRims, but; I fixed-it up a little. I built what I started-with and next, built my Street-Quick Woods-Rider TransAm. First, it needed More Heighth from Ground-level, so I jacked-it-up everywhere to maybe almost a FULL-FOOT HIGHER. Okay? How? Okay. Here we go. I reseached-it and found Delta 88 front-end coil-springs were perfect height and diameter to fit right nicely. Next, the rear. I put air shocks on the rear wheels, with easy access, just inside the trunk for air-em-up at the local gas station on every corner, way back then. That quick air-up with a butt-load of high-octane @Shell PREMIUM gasoline, right there too, from the ole school mechanical gas pumps. Also-had traction bars I set just perfect the way I liked-em. Remember: This was a limited-slip rear axal, with the right rear, as the drive tire, for forward, ahead of you; while, the left rear was for reverse, as well as as forward (march). A great car, to bein-with. I had-it where It'd go 0 to 60MPH INSTANT at RIGHT-TURN ON-RED. I'd pull-out in front of you to prove-it. It was a real monster in the woods, too. It'd Go Right-thru & Over Walls of Bamboo. No problems.

why is it now pound feet? when i went to school in the 70s i was taught foot pounds, im sure i wasnt taught wrong

06 GTO with 6.0
89 Turbo Trans Am with the GNX engine
off the top of my head
the 89 Turbo Trans AM did use the Buick v6 but it was not the same as the GNX it used the heads off the front wheel drive engine to make it fit .
