@@Jermaine-NC Yeah man! Can’t go wrong with the Axis Elite in my opinion. I was thinking about a G47 until I just shot a friends G45. Now I think I want that instead. Awesome jack of all trades gun if you ask me.
Anyone watching this considering one, do yourself a favor and order the DCC clips. Game changer. Also add the wedge pack and customize it to yourself. You get this dialed in, you’ll carry a LOT more comfortable than you would ever imagine. They’re also an incredible company customer service wise.
The DCC clips are excellent. I have them on other holsters. I just wanted to try these out because they are a little bit easier to get on and off. It’s still conceals extremely well but the DCC clips definitely have a lower profile. Since this video I did order the correct wedge for it and the comfort and concealability of this holster is supreme. It makes carrying a full-size gun like this a breeze. And you are correct about the customer service. Like I said in the video, they actually called me about any concerns I may have with the way they had to make this holster since they didn’t make one for the full size 5 inch, but only the 4 1/2 inch. Not to mention they have a lifetime warranty.
Right on man! They’re definitely incredible as a company. I had issues with my Agis Elites rubber connector tearing more than once, so they made it right and sent me an Axis Elite brand new no questions asked. Earned my loyalty for sure.
@@libertyor556 That’s their Hunter Constantine collaboration belt, right? That will probably be next on my list. A bit pricey but if it!s as good as all the reviews I’ve see. it is well worth it. I’m pushing 60 and have noticed some lower back issues popping up and feel some discomfort after having my rig on for 10 hours or more a day. Hopefully the elastic back portion will hold up for some time. I’m sure it will coming from Tier1.
@@CitizenCarrier I’m at exactly one year of everyday use, mostly at work on 9 hour shifts. And I’m NOT a skinny guy by any means and it’s never even stretched. I’ve never had to readjust it once. Blown away by how awesome it is.
@@Southernone They sure do! They make an Axis Elite like mine for the 4.5 inch which this actually is. And you can have the option to have it molded for a Streamlight TLR-1, a TLR-7 or a TLR-7 X. You can also choose an MSP Pro series or MSP Pro series FLX which is a sidecar holster like this one. As long as you use one of the lights listed on the drop down list, it will fit multiple different guns if you have more than one and it’s on the list of recommended pistols. A lot of different guns will fit in that holster.
I’ve only had this holster for a little under three months now. It’s my first tier 1 holster so I can’t speak to if they’ve changed for the PDP or not. It’s pretty recent so if they did change it, this must be it. And in my opinion, it’s awesome! I know they did some changes to their axis elite line such as the claw and clip design. They call the newer design the EZ Adjust system. But I believe that’s across the whole Axis Elite line.
@@dtps_champion6016 Can’t disagree with you there. But I have actually heard people say that the metal clips print less than the plastic clips. Now, MAYBE the metal clips may hold the holster in tighter to you, therefore pulling the grip in more. But I think that’s a big maybe. Because even with the stock plastic clips, I get virtually no printing of any part of the rig. It might be a little controversial to say, but I think some get a little too excited about “printing” if even the slightest bump may show. It just looks like a fold in the shirt at most. In my limited experience so far, your average person in the grocery store or on the street just aren’t paying that close attention to your belt line.
@@dtps_champion6016 Thanks man! Appreciate it! Glad you liked the vid. I don’t mind admitting that my videos and lack of on camera charisma are amateur at best. But hey, it’s all just in good fun. Being fairly new at every day carry, I hope I can learn things from commenters as well as hope I can give newcomers to EDC some pointers I found along the way.
@garytucholl7699 Thank for commenting! Just like anything, gear is definitely not one size fits all. What works great for some, may not work for another. I have quite a few different holsters for this pistol and the T1C works great for me. That’s why at the end I wanted to show me wearing it to show it doesn’t print on me. And as far as comfort goes, I mean, I have a full size gun that is bulky just by the nature of how it’s built alongwith a Kydex holster stuffed in my pants. So of course I’m going to know it’s there. But certainly not cumbersome. I do have to lift my pants waist up a little when I sit to keep it from jabbing. It took a little getting used to. But again, it is a long slide 5 inch barrel. I also really like my C&G holster called the Covert Alpha. It doesn’t have the mag carrier and I use that one when I don’t feel like having the extra mag.
I agree they are not one size fits all. I own two Axis slims and one axis elite and sometimes you have to tweak them adjusting the ride height adding wedges etc until dial it in.
@@christopherreeves7915 Absolutely! You definitely have to tweak them to fit you how you like. That’s why I like this holster so much. There’s so much adjustability between the clips, claw and wedge positioning. I didn’t know if I would like the sidecar design because it seemed like a lot of plastic upfront along with the gun. But the way it formed around me after I got it tweaked, it was surprisingly comfortable.
@@charles17508 I guess it just really comes down to we’re all built a bit different and what works for one, doesn’t work for another. I have a T Rex sidecar.
