I do love a cockpit like that, hence I've always loved soviet aircraft, its nice to see traditional dials, i always think aircraft like this look smell and feel like a proper aircraft if you know what i mean.
The HDD is currently in hud repeater mode, so you can see your hud while looking at your instruments. It is also used for radar and guidance information
New to dcs here. Noticed that sometimes when you get hit, regardless of planes, it can knock your hud and radar out. The hdd comes in handy if you can't read your instruments off the hud. Then again there's other instruments that show the same thing. I found it useful after taking an aim120 to the ass. Somehow survived. Mig-29 is a beast.
Small correction, if the two lights in front of the wings are on, it means that the slats (leading edge of the wing) are down, usually when flying with a high angle of attack
@Keebine Kobold You should try reading the comment again, since you're so fond of reading: LARGE, PRINTABLE IMAGE. LARGE as in BIGGER THAN WHAT A NORMAL DCS PDF MANUAL WILL DISPLAY. There, kid, hope I could help elucidate that one for ya
8:13 its a tape. Its like a black box, but its a tape in length of 4 meters. Mechanic use them to see if anything is wrong, it displays errors and everything. And its only valid proof that if plane falls, its not mechanics fault
im trying to get Mig 29, Su 27 and Su 33 for my new modules, which ones are the high fidelity modules, the FC3 or the one that cost 14.99 dollars per modules. Just wanna make sure cause im new to the game

I'm a fan of my American flying computers, but I see what you mean. Lol. Ain't nothing quite like analog.
Probably smells like kerosene and vodka. been thinking of getting the mig 21
Yeah, that's why I've been hesitant on buying the f16. I know the bubble canopy is realistic, but it just doesn't feel right.
@@rustyspartan4258I've always been a fan of cramped Cockpits, with dials and small windows. Feels kinda cozy, doesn't it?
@@vineetkaddu1214 Yeah, exactly + it's more challenging and thus more fun to fly.
....... and yet, in the movie Top Gun, when the good guys got a missile lock, the big green bullseye (reticle) on the HUD simply turned red. 🤣

And if the sun is shining on the HUD, you are able to get your informations on the HDD. In VR Mode you will see it better.
Can u turn it off repeater mode?
@@jkk5201 You can use datalink on the same screen in the SU-27 and 33, I don't remember about the migs, but no datalink
@@jkk5201 not in dcs currently, most likely in the coming FF Mig-29A
1:22 The blue lights above the wings on the config. indicator light up when the leading edge slats are deployed, not the engine gates
thx Bernie
@@grimreapers Just tested it out, it seem we were both right. The same light is used for the gates aswell. You're welcome Cap

Not to mention you can lock hostiles without pinging RWR.
I think this’ll be the first vehicle I try in DCS, mostly because it’s currently my favorite plane
Same! And very cheap compared to us aircraft.

Any chance you guys could make a large printable image of the cockpit with the stuff labeled ? Would be awesome
This should be a thing for all aircraft
@Little Kobold always some self righteous asshole calling people “kids” in the comments
@Keebine Kobold a simple "RTFM" would suffice

4:24 Selected waypoint at 110 degree. And green needle is showing at the opposite. Are you sure about that?
I noticed the same

Love Mig and SU planes however DCS is giving advantage to US planes so much more missions and extra things for them and none for Russian planes.
Do fighter jets have autopilot and autothrottle? I'm wondering cause I imagine them flying 10 hours manually.
How is your HUD using the english alphabet instead of the russian characters? Like air to ground shows GND for you, mine is russian
Go to the options/aircraft menu and change the option to real avionics or English
In config indicator, blue toplines indicates slats i think, but still nice video!
noted thanks

I've been liking the Mig-29. But god it's payload is shit
Bro where i Can find viedo with RWI?
A video every four hours, do you actually legit do that or like do you record a bunch for a day then take a break? nice work btw with the quantity.
Ya just had a week off as a break.
Where can I read the manuals?
