This diagram is correct. If you are having issues with the pin out on this alternator model. This gentlemen has the correct one. Bravo sir. I pay $250 a month for all data repair to supply me with the wrong diagram. Bravo again sir.
You are a life saver!! My 09 Maxima has green, yellow/ black, brown. My alt plug housing completely crumbled apart when I tried to remove it so I had to ghetto rig it with electrical tape until my replacement plug comes in. Nissan charges over $1,000 for the engine wiring harness package which includes this plug. They don't sell it separately.... go figure. Thanks again for the info! 👍🏾
Only thing is there a brown,a yellow with black strip and a grey wire coming from my 2009 nissan maxima..is this grey one the light blue one you was talkin about????? please respond to me and be my life saving please...thank you so much if you do
Well I thank you tons for the help but for some reason my car still kills if I unplug the battery? What you happen to have an idea on my.... it kills when I unplugged both sides of the battery. I tryed + it killed then I tryed - and it killed. I just dont understand. It's a brand new alternator. I told the brand new alternator I got 2 weeks ago back for this one and it's the same problem
@@feltondubroc9878 prolly not a good idea to disconnect the battery while it is running. You need to get a volt meter and check the voltage while it is running. Also on the pwm controlled alternator it may have a lower voltage while idling to help lower the load on the engine while idling. The alternator may be damaged, take it back and warranty it.
OK this is very helpful but yesterday my wife’s 2010 Nissan Murano would not start I measured the battery and the battery was at 11.5 upon charging the battery up it jumpstarted perfectly but then we tried to get the car home and it would just kill the battery again could it be the alternator or could it actually be that three pin connection so the computer is not telling the alternator to charge the battery could that be the problem
Chris Kolar yes the battery is perfect there’s nothing wrong with the battery at all it’s just that when the car is started the alternator will not charge the battery so it just kills it within about 10 minutes Somehow I’m sort of thinking one of two things it’s either a bad alternator or it could be that three prong plug that you were talking about in the video what do you think
Ok so I got a new alternator and battery and belts installed when I turn my Interior lights they fade in an out it makes the dash lights do the same when I turn them off the dash goes back to normal any Idea why
You need to check the voltage at the battery. Disconnect the battery and check it. Then connect it and check again. Always disconnect the negative side first. There should be 12.5v disconnected on a fully charged battery.
@@scottbradley3486 if it is new prolly not. What voltage it it? What's the voltage connected to the car? What's the voltage when it has been running? Has the car been flooded or wrecked?
What type of wiring did you use to add too it, I added a thicker gauge and I feel like that’s issue, my alternator isn’t charging the battery all the time

How did you get the heat shrink tubing on the entire length of wire that you added, including the area where it was spliced in? Was the tubing big enough to go over the connector? That's the only thing that makes sense to me with how tight everything is in there.

I got the info from the alternator rebuild shop.

How in the fuck did I get so lucky to find this video when the connector shattered in my hand
This connector fit perfectly
Red....ign power
(closest to radiator}
Green...12v batt
(in the CENTER)
Black...to ECM (closest to engine)
Cool thx for the added detail
thanks a lot chris. you saved us.
Your welcome. Happy new year 🎉 ✨️
would this wiring be the same for a 06 infinti being that they are Nissan products?
Yes, I checked on Rockauto and the connector and pinout is the same
thank you 👍🏼

Is the wiring the same as a 2009 maxima
Hey is this the same color pattern as the nissan 2009 maxima?
Helpful tips Chris, thanks.
Just wanted to say thank you so much for helping fix my car .i look at your video and it help me big time .GOOD JOB HOMIE KEEP DOING WHAT YOUR DOING..
Thank you
Thank you
Hey my murano is a 05, could you give me a readout for the plug as it’s a 4 prong plug not 3. Thanksb
Sorry it’s a 2 prong
My battery and brake light are on
I do not have a pinout for 4 pin. On Monday I can get that info from the rebuild shop.
Car lost power all of a sudden, idk if it’s the alternator or belt or something
Does it have any lights?
What type of wiring did you use to add too it, I added a thicker gauge and I feel like that’s issue, my alternator isn’t charging the battery all the time
I used a wire that was very close to the same size.
Okay thank you, I am still having issues with it, this is my second alternator and it will not hold a charge. It stays at 12.5 and then dies
This car uses a frequency to adjust charge rate. You may need to remove the alternator and have it tested. Check all wiring and plug pin tension.
Thanks for the video
Thank you bro
