  • One Of The Most Fearless People To Ever Walk On Planet Earth. A Bone-Crushing Hitter, Ronnie Lott Was As Versatile As They Come, Playing Both Cornerback And Safety Throughout His Career. Without Regard For His, Or Anyone Else’s Well-Being, He Struck The Fear Into Opponent’s Heart’s League Wide, With His Intimidating Style Of Play. Lott Was One Of The NFL’s Most Legendary Playmaker’s, And Was Able To Flip The Field Many A Time For His Team’s. One Of The Toughest Son’s-A-Gun’s To Ever Strap Up, His One Defining Moment Was Chopping Off A Piece Of His Pinky So He Could Be Able To Play In The Super Bowl. If That Ain’t Commitment To Something Greater Than Yourself, I Don’t Know What Is. The Ultimate Leader And Team Player, Lott Was Special Even At The Lower Level’s. Bringing His Ultra Hard Hitting Nature From Nearby USC, He Was The Ultimate Hometown Hero.. And What A Hero He Was. Enjoy, EveryBuddy!

@@Toahhh671 That's as laughable as the NBA GOAT debate. #42 was the Michael Jordan of defensive backs. Ed and Troy are Dahmer cadavers compared to Lott. Cris Carter, who's a hall-of-fame receiver and who's a lot more qualified than you on this subject said Ronnie is the GOAT DB and it's not even close. Speaking of hall-of-famers - the greatest cover corner all-time once said that Lott had his whole Atlanta team shook ones like Prodigy when he brought that havoc to a Mobb Deep beat. Ronnie is revered by the greatest DBs all-time (Sanders, Rod/Charles Woodson, Revis, Darrell Green, etc.).
Troy will only be remembered for his Head & Shoulders commercials and Reed for being Ray Lewis's teammate.

One of the greatest Ronnie Lott videos I've ever seen. Most videos just play the same hits over and over. You found a lot of his hits i haven't seen in ages. I'm a diehard Cowboy's fan, but Ronnie Lott has always been my favorite player!! I'm not a collector, but i own a lot of Lott stuff! I played semipro football and wore 42 in honor of him! Hell, my name is even Ronnie!! I was a hitter, but not quite like him! Thanks for the great video!!!

I got a new found respect for him as I always put him in that group of those classic head hunters of the day but after watching this he wasn't ever head hunting. It was good old shoulder right into your chest. Didn't see one hit that I'd consider dirty. There were a few times it was helmet to helmet but it certainly wasn't what he was going for. The only thing these hits would be flagged for today would be for being too hard. Any hit the knocks a offensive player backwards is a penalty now. Unfortunately. Anyway. As far as his number you really got me thinking. Like after his 49er days who the hell would tell Lott that they think 42 should be on them? I'm having a really hard time thinking of anyone to wear the 42. Only one I can think of (being a pre-Manning Colts fan) is good ole Roosevelt Potts. My dude rushed for 711 yards as a 6'1" 250lbs bruiser rookie in 93. In my opinion what happened next created one of the most badass backfields that no one ever knew about. The Colts drafted Marshall Faulk and Potts would become his fullback. They were awesome to watch. When the Colts went on their magical playoff run in 95 that culminated in a dropped hail Mary by Aaron Bailey in the end zone at a very cold Three Rivers Stadium giving the Steelers a 4 point W in that years AFC Championship game sending them to get slaughtered by Dallas in the Superbowl, well despite both being healthy and starting every game that year (Pott's I think missed one or two) they were both injury 🩸 scratches for that game. Lamont Warren and Zack Crocket would start in their place and never really got things going on the ground. One of the hardest games I ever watched.

Yep I played safety a couple years. I don't care what anyone says, it's the most important position on the defense. MLB is up there but a good safety can take a game over unlike any other position can. Bob Sanders comes to mind. The one year he stayed healthy he owned the field and everyone knew it and couldn't do a damn thing about it. People talk about Peyton winning a Superbowl that year but us real fans know the real reason they won it that year. That was the year 21 was healthy. They straight robbed Mr Sanders of Superbowl MVP. Had an interception and after his forced fumbled in which he leveled Cedric Benson in the gap at the line of scrimmage knocking the ball loose there wasn't a Bear anywhere that wanted a damn thing to do with the football and it showed. Look at all the other great teams. They all have something in common. A safety that scares the shit out of everyone that has the misfortune of trying to function out there knowing that hit is coming. Not a matter of if but when.

Great video, thank you so much for the upload. Ronnie Lott & Sean Taylor are my favorite safeties and by far. Casuals can have Polamalu & Reed, both outstanding, but if you had RL & ST roving the secondary... That would be one long-ass day for the opposing offense. They might legit run out of receivers. It is just will-shattering to take those hits. Can you imagine playing in the same division!? Knowing you are just gonna get rocked out of your helmet & socks for 3 hrs, 2x every fall? That's half the battle right there, Ronnie's art of war. Not unlike the weeks leading up to facing Iron Mike Tyson in his prime. You've lost by the time you face off. Intimidation at it's most intimidating ☠️
