    I use to have a 5000 years ago that you modified - that thing was a beast with the 18 inch Advantage on depth. I found the that combo would beat an Evolution coils purely on large deep nuggets. If you are making a super deep 4500, I'd be interested to see your results. The next question would be, which 4500 (type/model/serial number) should I look for as a doner? I was thinking of having a "deep area only" detector - though I already have the 7000 with 22CC X-coil.

      There are many more upgrades coming for the GPX series, and if you want a deep big gold detector and only want to use normal timings then even a GP can do the job.

    Just watching your video, I have the second edition GPX 4500 with standard coils and nuggetfinder 14x9 I have a GP 3500 for the extra depth 15"detech spiral wound DD, I was thinking of having it modified but I have the 4500 and SDC as well the GM and other VLF machines is it really worth it modifying?

      I think that you have enough detectors to cover 90% of any situations.

    What you say about coils is correct from one electronics person to another. You are also correct about corporate theft, I was a victim, i developed a piece of electronics and software (nothing to do with metal detecting) to marry with hardware that another person had a patent on. He decided to sell his patent to a multinational. They approached me to buy my circuits etc and we came to a deal. Then the person with the hardware patent inadvertently told them the name of the company I had been using to manufacture the double sided boards, assemble and programme. They went to them pretending to be from my company and obtained my intellectual property and they paid the guy for the hardware and I never saw them again. It was a foreign multinational. Barrister fees dont allow much come back. However I do have a 4500 with 4 coils and am looking for one other specific coil

      The common denominator is money and greed. Always keep the smarts under your own control.

    Is the coiltek 22 file good for large targets only and how approximately is the maximum depth on a target such as a box or a 30cm x 30cm box?

    • @DetectorMods
      @DetectorMods  5 місяців тому +1

      A large target such as that size can be detected to around 5ft or 1.6 meters.

    Oh that’s why we never got a roll of cable. Thanks for asking though.

      If I was making detectors then I would have plenty of cable to sell on the cheap.

    Are the newer detectors running at higher voltages to allow smaller gauge wire?

    • @DetectorMods
      @DetectorMods  5 місяців тому +1

      No, but it can be done and the tx Rx can be made much faster. There is a demining detector that uses this idea.

    Hi , what medium size coil do you have on your 4500.

    Fakta di lapangan yang saya alami, untuk masalah kedalaman pada mesin GPX series..adalah ada pada ukuran coil, coil tersebut harus memancar di 550 khz Up... sampai dengan 620 Khz, ukuran itu baik untuk mendeteksi benda selain besi, jika anda ingin mencari target besi, ukuran coil harus memancar di 550 khz sd 420 khz..mohon bimbingan master🙏🌟

      As none of these pulse induction detectors disciminate it is more based on object size, coil size and length of transmitted pulses.
