You have inspired me to put a one of your new mono cable on my gp3000 coil. The outer covering has totally perished. If I wreck it , its a learning curve and I have a few commander replacements.Nev
@@DetectorMods yes mate ide like to get a old coil and have a look inside how it works i not a tec electrical person but like looking how things work and see if i can repair it
Minelab stopped anyone doing that by having coded ic chips placed inside their coils and only they and selected coil manufacturers can make a coil that works, So the only way to make a different coil is to pull the board out of a factory coil but then you can make a dongle to run any coil.

It is very easy to do as long as you do it slowly and take your time.

Keep those old coil shells.
Great information. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Good info are you going to do the new coil build? Or will you build for customers
Both!
Cool.i will bring mine over.
Ive got a 14x9 coiltek sdc coil that i never use, i prefer the 11" round. Can the 14x9 be re-made better? It has dead spots on the sides. Cheers 👍👌🇦🇺
Anything can be achieved with time and patience.
Would wd40, sprayed onto a rag and wiped carefully over the tape do the release job?
Anything that stops it being sticky should work.
Just warm it up a bit , smd hot air gun 🔫
Any chance you could rebuild a monster 100mm coil to suit a 6000 or anyone you know would build one thanks Woody.
