I’m not a grown woman, I’m a young 13 year old girl. All I can say to this is, Pretty much all of my friends and cousins look up to celebs like Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande, but miss Elizabeth is definitely my role model. And even outside the imagination of the Chosen creators, a woman in that time being a prostitute did not at ALL indicate that it was her choice. Much more likely that she was sold into it, or was choosing between selling her body or starving.

It’s so amazing because those are the words I heard when God delivered me a couple weeks ago. I’ve been tormented by demons for so long and I was started to have them touch me and torment me every night and they’d scream. I was so miserable. Then I was anointed and prayed over and the Holy Spirit came into me and the demons left. And as it happened I heard in my head ‘ I have called you by name you are mine.’

I love the way she portrays Mary, especially in her dark season. Sometimes we see a person in this state portrayed as merely crazy, which makes it hard to identify with, or even to sympathize with them. But she makes it so easy to understand Mary's torment and the pain she must have been struggling with. So many people are getting touched and redeemed by God through this storyline (myself included), and I am so thankful!
I cant imagine anyone else playing Mary Magdelene! Elizabeth is AMAZING! The Chosen cast has been spot on I can see Gods hands in all of this! Thank you all! 🙏❤
Season 1 Ep 1, Mary Magdalene. When the 'Jesus' calls out to Mary quoting that verse from Isaiah 43:1, that came so alive in me, I felt Jesus was saying that to me personally, I cried and cried and God delivered me of something at that moment. Great work by both actors who performed 'Jesus' & 'Mary' 💕
Liz, your work in this series has been nothing short of moving. The depth you have tapped into and given to so many lines and scenes has made for an eye-opening, soul-cleansing experience. of course there's the deliverance scene, but also your follow-up with Nico was amazing. God bless you as you continue your work for Him.
Absolutely beautiful story behind a beautiful biblical character, played by a beautiful actress. Chosen is such a blessing. Dallas and team have created a universe with this awesome idea, and it’s truly something special.
We are all blessed with the talents you have to share with all of us Liz! Thank you! We ARE you... as we are redeemed and go through our journey of discovering our worth to Him! And learning to live up to our divine potential.
I cant't think of any other character portrayal that I have ever wept over in this way...i am like her...i will never forget what Jesus has done for me. this is such a wonderful reminder
That Shabbat scene is one of my favorites, I cried each time I watch that; the way she portrays Mary. Liz is amazing at this role. Dallas, you are a gifted man. I’ve also loved so many people’s comments and love towards others than need mental/emotional support. This is a great community of folks.
The human side of Jesus only leads me to love Christ even more. I didn't expect that to be possible. Thank you, Mr. Dallas, cast and crew. Praying for you all.
I was really impressed by this whole series and Liz’s portrayal of Mary Magdalene in particular. I really enjoyed hearing what the actors felt like taking these roles. So many times you hear about big stars and the places they go, stuff they waste money on etc. But you rarely hear anyone say “hey I was in a bad place.” Unless its printed in some gossip rag. So people, young ones in particular, get the impression that actors and other famous people have it made. I really felt like these stories portrayed have come to life in a way they never have before.
I think ms tabish was really chosen by our role to play Mary magdalene. And to think she was about to give up as an actress. Now she is performing one of the best roles in her entire career. She is also soooo beautiful.. She exudes a certain beauty which I can't explain... She is indeed chosen
I know this is off topic but I love how they portrayed Matthew, Nicodemus, Peter, Mary...and especially Jesus! I feel like He is actually approachable in this series. It has wrecked me great ways! I love the story line of Matthew. I heard a teaching about the backstory of Jewish culture and how young boys would submit applications to the rabbis to be able to study under them. Matthew got rejected by all of them. That is why He was so shocked when Jesus came to Him. Cuz in that culture you went to them. And that Jesus accepted him! I was like exploding inside! Wow I LOVE this series so much! It’s so real!!!
LinenCloth Productions -- Love your post, thank you !! And then look at all the beautiful words the Apostle Matthew wrote down in the First Book of the New Testament ! :) All of these great men went to their deaths full of Faith and knowing they would be with the Master again.. I watch Mary as the show progresses. She continues to have a beautiful Universe Mother-spirited presence, calm and gentle, yet firm. Liz, thank you for this portrayal. Very inspiring!
You bridged an amazing gulf of the character's story and each side is so incredibly real and relatable. Dallas is right you have breathed beauty in to Mary's journey. I know there are many that are blessed because you took this role.
Elizabeth Tabish does such a wonderful job portraying Mary, just completely drawing us in to her life and struggles and SALVATION! What a blessing this series is!!!
She is such a wonderful person even in her real life which I can see now... So blessed by her acting in The Chosen Series! Waiting for the Season 2! Much love to her and the whole The Chosen team!

YES, exactly!! Mary is ME, too!! To be honest, it took me a little bit to get oriented while watching first episode, UNTIL Mary was at the bar begging for that drink, a place I've *literally* been so many nights in the past. So, my *heart & gut* truly felt the tension & agony she was in & seemed to jolt me toward her to help. I think I even spoke to her out loud, haha!.... Then when Jesus stepped into her circumstances & spoke those words.... I lost it 😢🙌🏼.... Bc that's precisely what He did for me!! 😄
These actors are nothing short of spectacular. Not only would I Not change any actors, but I wouldn't change not one line of script. This is decidedly the most perfect depiction I could ever have imagined. In fact , this day and age, I couldn't expect anything like this was remotely possilble. Every person involved needs our greatest appreciation / Thank YOU !
Liz, you are my favorite actress on television because I so connect and relate to Mary’s personal struggles and experiences. I recently had a renewal of my spiritual life and your role in many ways reminds me of my way back. Thank you, Liz.

I can relate to Elizabeth Tabish as I was diagnosed with major depression recurrent in my 30's & major anxiety15 years later. I went on Dr.-recommended disability for the anxiety about 12 years ago due to literally being paralyzed by the anxiety & was taking too much time off. I am now 66 years old. When Miss Tabish said she had come off a 3-year depression - I could so relate. God bless her and praise Him for His goodness.
Aloha from Hawaii!👍🙋🌺 I love your performance as Mary. Thank you for sharing your heart and I'm so glad you were able to make the connection with her life. It reminds me of Esther. When her Uncle Mordechai found out about Haman's plans to have the Jews killed, he approached her and told her to talk with the King on their behalf. At first she hesitated, but the words he spoke became a turning point in her life, Esther 4:13-14 "...who knows whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" May you see Adonai's hand in this project that He, Himself, has called you to. God bless you and your family. Aloha from Hawaii🙋🌺💕 V

So inspiring to hear how life changing this experience has been for you and other actors and crew.... as it has been for so many thousands around the world, myself included. I, too, had an encounter with Jesus like the one you portray at the end of Season 1, Episode 1. So very thankful that He sought me out... called me by name. Thank you for your special part in creating this worship-full series for His glory!
Elizabeth, you are doing a wonderful way in doing this character. It's impossible not to follow the character Mary Magdalene throughout every episode... thank you and I thank God for your incredible God-given talent.
The actors in The Chosen are amazing! I've told so many people about it. I wept so much with Mary Magdalene because Elizabeth made her so real. Jesus redeemed me out of a terrible, immoral life 35 years ago. Elizabeth's incredible portrayal of Mary is so powerful that I felt like I was living it. I can't imagine anyone who's broken in sin not being impacted in a wonderful way by The Chosen. Well done!
When Jesus delivers Mary in the series I cry everytime. My daughter was delivered of multiple demons (right in front of me) and has turned into a teacher of scripture in a recovery program. There hasn't been a full delivery of schizophrenia yet.. but we both believe it's coming. Great series. Thanks for doing it.
I love Liz in this role! She’s absolutely amazing and engaging as Mary Magdala. I feel drawn to her character and can’t say enough about her performance.
I've started watching this series recently ( April 2023 ) and whilst I was blown away by the amazing performances of everyone, no matter how small the role was... I found myself hooked into the story of Mary. The actress, in my honest opinion, is the perfect person for the role. Period. Btw... that ".. I have redeemed you.. " scene in episode 1.. was THAT moment for me. A grown strong minded man, reduced to the floor sobbing. Now after 20ish years, I returned to mass and prayer....( I am 49 years old ).
So far for me to describe "The Chosen" I can say INCREDIBLE, ABSOLUTELY AWESOME AND STUPENDOUS. One can always read the Bible, but "The Chosen" allows one to see and live the Bible.

This episode tore my heart out. It spoke volumes to me. I am this woman!!
I'm a man and it spoke volumes to me. Grow up.
@@mothermovementa why so rude tho? 🙃 She saw herself in that character... It aint that deep
@@Laura.K. Laura - I believe Luke was referring to the inspiration He received, which was to Grow up... I see nothing rude about his comment.
God Bless, Laura.K !!

@@frandanco6289 I suppose I did have a feeling of negative connotations with the way it was worded, truly could be a prime example of miscommunication through social media
Been in recovery from self harm for 8 years. Relapsed a year and a half ago when my sponsor passed away. Thank y’all for this!!
I hope you are doing better now. 😊🙏🙏
I cant imagine anyone else playing Mary Magdelene! Elizabeth is AMAZING! The Chosen cast has been spot on
I can see Gods hands in all of this! Thank you all! 🙏❤
Thank you for portraying the role with justice. You were also the chosen one to become Mary Magdalene in the series. God bless you! 💛🙏😊
The ending of episode 1 was so so so beautiful.
To be known by Jesus, to be called by my name
I was crying, embraced deeply.
Thank you 😊💖
Every episode has made me cry, I can't say enough good things about these people and this story.
Absolutely beautiful story behind a beautiful biblical character, played by a beautiful actress. Chosen is such a blessing. Dallas and team have created a universe with this awesome idea, and it’s truly something special.
Yes, I am one of those who love how Elizabeth Tabish portrays Mary Magdalene.
We are all blessed with the talents you have to share with all of us Liz! Thank you! We ARE you... as we are redeemed and go through our journey of discovering our worth to Him! And learning to live up to our divine potential.
Yes! Thank you!
I cant't think of any other character portrayal that I have ever wept over in this way...i am like her...i will never forget what Jesus has done for me. this is such a wonderful reminder
I was so glad to hear your story, Liz, and how you were guided to this role. Thank you for your beautiful work! Blessings!
I love this !!!
God Bless !

Watching The Chosen always makes me cry. The best show ever!!❤️
I was saved watching "The Passion of the Christ", I know people will be for this one as well.
I thank Adonai for allowing such a beautiful interpretation of the bible be brought to life.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I'm so glad we have an opportunity to learn more from your Feminine perspective! 👩😊
I hope you have more wonderful times to come! 😊🙏🕊️✝️❤️
She did an amazing job, everyone did in this show. So powerful for so many people. Thank you all. It is amazing how God comes through at the right times for those who trust in Him.
This is the Greatest Story Ever Told. And The Chosen is the Greatest retelling of the Greatest Story Ever Told. Thank You all Soooo Much.
Elizabeth , thank you for sharing your story (that’s not always easy) I admire your vulnerability in that. Your story is gonna help people ,myself included. No doubt God has his hand on you on and off the set. Blessings beyond measure to you ! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
You are such a sensitive, emotive actor. You have created an exquisite character. Please don’t ever stop acting.
love love love The Chosen. I tell everyone about it. Mary's character is beautifully played. Thank you for this.
I have seen 8 episodes in 3 days. Like a good book you can't put it down. Absolutely love it! Have shared this with so many people.
I'm so in love with this show! I've laughed, I've cried, and I've felt so connected to this show! And all the actors and actress are AMAZING 👏🙌😍
Uuughhh I cry everytime. She’s one of my favorite characters and I’m so glad everything happened the way it did ♥️♥️♥️
Liz you are such an inspiration!! No one could have created the character of Mary Magdalene but you… god bless you and all you have done 🙏
wow everytime i cameback to this scene WOW, tears keep fallen and i can feel the power of the Lord.... thank you...keeps on reminding me HE IS THE LIVING HOPE.. JESUS IS OUR LIVING HOPE..
Mary Magdalene in this chosen has such a grace. I can feel it in my gut level.
And the encounter of Jesus and Mary magdalene is so profound. Gave me goosebumps. Tearful experience
1:16 is a priceless moment. This is an element of great storytelling. For those who aspire to make films of any sort, never miss a moment to make a moment.
I guess that's just good life advice, too...
Thank you so much for accepting this role. When Jesus said to you as Mary of Magdala, I know you by name, I sobbed and I think you can understand. You do such a beautiful job in The Chosen! Thank you!
The Chosen is such a Blessing from God!! My family and I are always so excited to see a new episode bring the Bible to life! Keep up the wonderful work Chosen!
Absolutely mind blowing ending of the first episode. Thank you SO MUCH. What an amazing portrayal of how it feels to feel SO LOW, and then to be touched and rescued. God bless those who poured so much thought and prayer into creating these episodes
She has the most genuine and prettiest smiles highlighted by those dimples near the top of the cheek. I am so drawn to her acting it's beautiful. Thank you for the cast of characters great job!
"Fear not, for I have redeemed you by name, you are mine" Isaiah 43:1❣️
This is such an amazing role and You have nailed it as Mary Magdalene. So special to see you blossom in your role on The Chosen. Blessings to you.
The way of portraying the Gospel in this series is indeed life-changing! I like it very much 💓 Keep spreading the love of Christ 😌
Elizabeth/Mary your "delivery" scene was so believable and beautiful ,I shed tears, good tears though. best wishes to you all going forward.
So glad you didn’t give up acting, Elizabeth! LOVE hearing this testimony from you! Surely this is THE ROLE you were born (destined) to play.
Liz, did such an amazing job on playing the role for Mary. A true gem and an inspiration for my life. God bless. ❤❤
Love your character. Thank you for sharing your personal story, so inspiring and so hopeful. I love The Chosen.
So appreciate they way Mary’s story is told and unfolds! Loved it.
You are a amazing actress....I just loved how you pulled this off! It came alive! Thank you!
So far for me to describe "The Chosen" I can say INCREDIBLE, ABSOLUTELY AWESOME AND STUPENDOUS. One can always read the Bible, but "The Chosen" allows one to see and live the Bible.
Appreciate that, Tom!
yess!
