I like the driving tool you made nice work boss we just got a 4300 international in shop today im building that driver tool for this job i normally use a homemade tee bar i made !
Did a pair once in a gas station. Boss charged $62.50 a side. When I got paid he gave me all of the labor. God Bless you Mr. Kelly. You were always Righteous.
oh boy, brings back an early memory helping my dad change one when i was teenager. My first lesson in being patient , seized kingpin , but yeah its like your video, its how you handle your mistake. Great video , really educational for all us builders/ backyard repairs. Keep them coming !!!
no Jonathan, lol, if you think you're the only one thats made an oops, trustme, there is quite a crowd of us , we all have. Its a part of us doing our repairs. you are absolutely right, its what you do about it after that matters. Say a quick curse word and do it right. Great video as always!!!
Very well made video man. I really enjoyed it. I don't have a truck with a kingpin style front axle but was curious as to how they come apart and this video demonstrated that very well. Also a big kudos to you for making it proper when the bearing was turned upside down by mistake. Stuff like that happens to all of us and it's great to see guys with the patience to make it right at the end of the day.
Great video and there is so much behind your casual comment of "I made a piece". Thanks for sharing all your videos whether they are for fun or for technical information.
Its been like 40 years ago when I was teenager but I put in a clutch and pressure plate in my ol Chevy truck and put all back together and for got to put throw out bearing back in LOL have messed up thousands of time since then but that just comes back to memory
Dude! You doin' the grunt work is why we're watching. Ya gotta show how you got these rusty crappy components out, not the before and after. love your work, notice you left the draglink hooked up. Hmmm gonna try that.
Love this video, it’s been so helpful. I’m currently doing this to my international 4900 single axle dump. Do you happen to have a part number for this style king pin? I’m having a heck of a time trying to find the right kit.
We all screw up I was putting the exhaust and the turbo back on my 6.5 got it all back together and forgot the return tube goes from the turbo to the bottom of the block but it’s got to have the exhaust loose to fit it from turbo to bottom of motor I thought of cutting it and using rubber then I said got to do it right so I took it all back off the down spout and all so back to it this morning and get it done lol
It would have helped me out a lot. Seeing that is where I am stuck at. Showing all the holes being cleaned up and the bushings going would show more of the pain part. Better than no information though. Take care
great video but I did not see you adding any shims. shims are important cause next time you go to get tires they will tell you that you need kin pin. no shims and you will get play up and down.
I hate those bushings I never put them back in I always go with a Kaiser kit when going back together all stainless so much easier to do on the road with limited tools on a service truck
Oxy torch is a last option on king pins . First one should be WD40 or any similar penetrating agent ,that tool he made is a grrat idea you dont need another guy swinging the sledge hammer .

That's a good catch.. and also the right message to send we all mess up but when we find out we did... just fix it right and move on....
This is the 2nd time i have went back to this video. Going to start on my 4700 LPX kingpins tomorrow. I will make that tool 1st!
Dude, I just want you to know I appreciate your videos. It never fails that I learn something new each time I see one.

Watched many of your videos - I'm thoroughly impressed at your ingenious creativity!

Your right,stay calm,and fix it right..Have pride!
This guy is on the money. Thanks for this video on replacing king pins.
That’s a brilliant design so you don’t have to sledgehammer a drift with someone holding it that’s just dangerous well done 👍🏻

I needed to see the most important part, taking apart the bearing
So, this is where the saying " Having the patience of Job," comes in I guess. Good job,...again , Jonathan.
Just found your channel. Awesome education. Thanks much.
The use of torch is the part of the process I am most interested in. Too bad you didn’t show that part in your video. Thanks
You're a really nice guy. Real patient. Thank you.
enjoy your videos you all ways do a great job

Nice video man. Might wanna get yourself a IR airhammer. It'd make your life a lot easier
I like the idea 👍👍👍👍 doing kingpin on a ford f650
Tks for the message at end bro appreciate it
What an honest man. Thanks
Cool man! It's why they put erasers on the end of pencils, eh?
If you don't mess up every once in a while then you ain't really wrenching a t'all!

Anyone have a video of taking apart the wheel bearing? This guy just jumped right over it
Is this a 6000lbs axel? Do you have a part number for those king pins?
Very good video, thank you!
wish u'd of shown the whole process and how to with the pins, bushings etc...

no shims and you will get play up and down.
How much you charge to do mines
doin it twice makes for slow progress., GOOD video though. be nice to blame somebody else for it but hard to do worken alone
I hate those bushings I never put them back in I always go with a Kaiser kit when going back together all stainless so much easier to do on the road with limited tools on a service truck
I've had to drill em out
S&w innovation makes a tool that will remove draw wedges easier. The tool is hardened so hammer will not hurt it. Thunderpunch.com
u shouldn't heat it, not good for the spindle
