- To mark the return of Vikings Season 4B, check out this tutorial and learn how to do the hairstyles of all of Ragnar's sons! Bjorn, Ivar, Ubbe, Sigurd, and Hvitserk all have different styles to choose from. Which is your favorite?
Difficulty: Easy-Moderate
Hair Length: at least shoulder length

The reason why I’m growing my hair long is purely for these hair styles. I’m so happy I found this channel!! I use to have long hair, a little below my butt type of long (I have a long torso too), I cut it all off and kept cutting into a cute pixie, currently a long bob barely touching shoulders), my goal was Rapunzel as a tween. So many people loved braiding my hair due to the length, people would walk up and ask about my hair, then if agreed upon would braid or play with. Then say how soft it was and ask my secrets to having long, soft, healthy hair. I wish I had discovered these type of hair styles back then. My hair back then would constantly knot especially on my neck since I didn’t know how to wash that part as a kid , I do now having eventually learned. I would also love to brush it, I loved to take a comb and just rub it through. I loved doing it so much, it was like therapy. My now learned hair therapy with my hair is twirling it, braiding it, and brushing still. I just now absolutely hate the look of straight hair on me so cae it lengthens my face, so before going out I would tease it into a diamond.

Did Hvitserk’s braids on myself this afternoon and I think I’ve got a new favorite go-to hairstyle. Modified it a bit because I have less hair but it still worked! You broke it down so well. I’m so glad I found this video!

Showed this video to my long-haired sister and she loved it and asked me to do Hvitserk's hair for her for a special sale at her game store workplace. I tried it out; it worked great! It's easier than it seems and your instructions are super easy to follow. Awesome video!

Same with my sister and me... I can braid her hair pretty good but not mine... And beside she won't try to learn how to braid so she can do mine...
How about I say the only thing you can really do is have him do yours too because if you can’t reach behind your head you’re basically going to be hopeless on this and secondarily there’s another problem you can’t see your own hair that well it’s unfortunate but you can probably teach him how to do it

This is great. I've been looking for a tutorial for Hvitserk's hairdo in particular. Subbed for all your another videos too so i can learn how to do this myself. I wish I could do these... I just learned how to do a french braid and I wish I could do a french braid on the side of my head... It's hard! :D
Tiia Heino It took me forever to learn how to French braid, now I'm pretty good even on my own hair. Seriously if I can do this now I'm sure anyone can with practice, alot of practice lol..
I can Dutch braid on my own hair, but I have trouble French braiding my own hair. You're not the only one! :)

Do you know, Sigurd's hairstyle is *really* simila ro FIli's from the hobbit, except for the french braid on top.
OMG why didn't I find your channel when I had 40 more inches of hair?! I tied it back in a normal 3-strand braid every day. Simple and easy on my scalp, but not very inspired. XD
I like how regularly wearable the one from Ubbe is. I think I'll be trying it sometime.
Silverbleedy ima guy and am thinking about cutting off the sides like in the show, mainly cause it looks awesome and is unique. But if it looks bad then I've lost a lot of hair that will take years to grow back xD

Silverbleedy marked? I'm not sure what you mean... And it's down to my shoulders but I wouldn't cut off the sides until its abit longer just so it looks how it's meant to. But I just don't know if i should even cut it off... It could b a bad decision
I love your braiding tutorials and have followed several different ones for work and weddings.
I have a question for you about what to do with a bald spot. I had hair at the right side of my hairline pulled out recently by confused patient. My hair is slowly growing back, but there is currently a one inch long and two inches wide balding spot from my hairline to just over my ear on the right side of my head. My question is how can I do these beautiful braids against my head when a good part of my hair line is not there anymore? I am at a loss of what to do.
Doing the first one cause I'm incapable of braiding that incorporates hair as you go.

I recently got a Mohawk and I’ve never felt like a more badass warrior queen than I do now. I’ve done these hairstyles with it and I get so many compliments! Of course I have to alter the styles a bit, but that’s part of the fun!

Bjorn ironside's hairstyle is literally Rangar's from season 1. Also PROUD to say that, other than the widows peeks on the sides. I have 4'+ of hair, with which I can take to the local hair salon and see if somebody can give me a braid style like one of these!
Yeah it's pretty close, the only difference is Ragnar's ponytail was braided. It's like the fusion of Bjorn and Ubbe's styles.

Amazing! Love this vid. I´ve tried to do the Bjorn/Ivar hairstyle but I can not see these hair rows "pop" up more. I get the same hair like you have at 3:05. But then at 3:10 it looks amazing, much more well defined. What happened?

Do you have any tips for doing these hairstyles with baby hair? I love all of these SO MUCH but I also have way too much baby hair :/
heyshaybee after you're done braiding. spray some hairspray onto a dedicated toothbrush to brush your babyhair in the direction the hair lies. Or if you don't want the hair to look drier, use a tiny bit of waterbased pomade.

I seem to be straight up incapable of doing any braid along the side of my head that requires me to add hair. Looking at the comments that is a common problem. Any chance of a full tutorial please? I love Viking hairstyles but if I can’t do those braids then I don’t think it’s happening :(.
