I don't even watch the Vikings show, but I totally love this faux hawk ))) It's so cool! I think I can use it with any casual outfit to make it look more edgy and fun. Thank you! Your tutorials are awesome!
I have NEVER understood how to french braid (I am left handed and confuse the righties that have tried to teach me) BUT, with your explanation I finally UNDERSTAND it!!! I am totally going to be rocking this braid, thank you for the excellent video!!!
This looks wonderful! I love Lagertha a lot and when I wear some of her hairstyles I kind of feel more powerful! can't wait to try this one! Thanks for doing the tutorial ^^
The cut hair doughnut used with clip in extensions to create volume without teasing is genius! It's going to make so many styles look so much better and be so much easier for me to do. I can't wait to try this great hair hack! Thanks so much for sharing it.
You are amazing! You explain things so well! I think you should do more tutorials from movies and tv shows like Avatar the Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra, Harry Potter, and more history shows like Vikings and stuff like that!
Right? I think it would be amazing to see more Avatar the Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. She did one Avatar hairstyle so I am hoping for more.
Absolutely GORGEOUS!!! I have been in awe of the hairstyles on Vikings since the first episode. Thank you for demystifying the styles a little for me. I knew they had to be using some sort of hair enhancements. I'm just sad that my hair has thinned so much as I've gotten older. I wouldn't have enough hair to make this style work, not even if I had the "rat" to work with. I could maybe do a regular French braid around a "rat," but I don't have thick enough hair to make the three French braids required for this style.
Excellent channel! I love how you get right to it. I don't have time for a lot of excess chatting. Looking forward to watching all your tutes! Shoulder length styles appreciated. I cut my hair and got layers - grrrr -- now in the growout phase.
You are obviously talented at braiding but you are even more talented at teaching, seriously thank you for clear, concise, easy to understand instructions! I almost always feel like someone omitted a step in their tutorials but not on yours, really well done.
Hello ! I'm french and I want you to know that I really like you, you're talented and so natural, it's a pleasure to watch your videos. Can you do some of Padme Amidala's beautiful hairstyles she has in the movie "Attack of the clones" ? Thank you and keep on the amazing job ! :)
I'm really close to start watching this show all because of you! you're very talented and pleasing to watch, you seem really nice, I had never been interested in hair turorials until I found your channel, you're seriously amazing
My favorite so far! ok no, i love almost all your videos haha almost 'cause i have thick shoulder length hair and i can't pull all of them out, but almost. Thanks to you i've fall in love with braiding and i'm finally letting my hair grow haha Please keep doing this amazing tutorials!
I finally found someone who's tutorials I can actually follow. Most other's tutorials include super processed hair and lots of products. You use your natural hair without too many extras, exactly what I was looking for. I don't want products and heat etc into my hair.
Wow this is incredible!!! Your attention to detail is amazing and so very helpful!! I also learned some new things to try out so thank you very much for the tutorial!
You have beautiful hair and I love the styles you're making, I want to try these so bad but my hair is much denser than yours and I often get totally overwhelmed trying to tame it, it's also notoriously bad at staying in place, it can't hold a curl, I've used half a can of hairspray on my curls before and they've still dropped after 20 minutes, it also gets greasy real fast at the scalp if I handle it too much so I don't know how well this would turn out, I don't give up on it though because these styles are so cool, I'll keep trying!
We have almost the exact same color of hair, same length too! Mine is troublesomely thick but I manage lol. I love your videos because they are perfect for me to copy since we have similar hair!
I just discovered your Channel today and I can´t stop watching :) If I ever were to start a youtube channel on my own, that is what I would have done :) You´re doing an amazing job
your channel is so amazing! I wish I was as talented as you are with hair styling & stuff :D & btw, you are so pretty, you look a lot like Sophie Turner :)
Bonafidevixen10032 I tried something similar to one of the other Lagertha type of braids in my daughter’s hair once , she looked like a 10 year old Lagertha. She’s got the Viking hair and features like mine ( she’s got my husband’s genetics as well- he’s the big interesting mix , Irish, German and Native American Indian) So either way she’s got it !! I would love to see her do modeling. She’s got that picture perfect face . But that braid fell out pretty quick, her hair is thick , dense , slightly frizzy and a little like “ baby hair “ . She’s got dark and light , kind of like highlight and lowlights. She’s an amazing looking girl.
+Kathleen Gallafraigh There's like a two hour window each day where I can get decent natural lighting in my tiny little grad school apartment. So glad it's good enough!
eskobabe If you want to be able to do this sort of stuff more often, I do recommend getting a set of hair extensions! But if not, maybe you could try leaving out the side braids and just doing the big one on top.
I usually don't style my hair much, I'm a huge klutz, can't even do french braids (ironically, I'm french), yet I've watched a few of your videos and I happen to find them super addictive! Maybe it's your voice, calmly explaining how to handle hair, or the fun and geeky themes you choose... Anyway, congrats on gaining a new suscriber! Also, my brother is getting married next summer, I might try to suggest one of these hairstyles to the hairdresser...^^
Gosh my hair is so thick that extensions need it, not the other way round😂😂but every time I try sth new, what I leave is just a huge mess. Just adore your videos though!
your videos get better and better every time! :) I can't help but wonder if you find that regular braiding thins/breaks your hair? and if so do you have any tips on preventing this? totally understand if you don't have the time to go into detail! I feel like I've been damaging my hair this way but I don't want to stop braiding it!
uncia-septim Yeah, unfortunately I have found that... There are a few measures you can take to protect your hair's elasticity (it's ability to stand up to stress during braiding). The ones I use are regular moisturizing hair masks (I've written a bit on this on reddit www.reddit.com/r/HaircareScience/wiki/hair_mask_oils) as well as leave in conditioner after every shower. Sometimes I'll do a protein treatment like Aphogee, which doesn't permanently repair damage but can but a good band aid. I've also started doing a bit of henna in the last year, not so much that my hair drastically changes color but enough that it conditions and strengthens for a time. And then whenever I'm not doing tutorials or photos, I avoid hair damage as much as possible by limiting brushing and putting my hair in pinless buns/sleeping on satin pillow cases/avoiding heat etc. It really is a tradeoff though. I have a fair amount of breakage that isn't immediately evident on film but I can see it in person and my ends aren't very thick. The more handling you give your hair, the more damage that happens no matter what. Even more so if your hair is rather fine like mine. This amount is worth it to me because it lets me make these videos for you all, but everyone has to find that styling and health balance for themselves.
Different parts of my life do overlap! ❤ Hello from the classical singers Facebook forum! Side note: DO IT FOR THE RECITAL. Those who don't think opera is badass don't know what to think about it.
If you don't have access to a foam hair donut couldn't you also do a Dutch braid in a smaller section starting from the crown of the head and do a French braid overtop of that?
I crimp all my hair like in the movie splash otherwise I have greasy hair my 7 pm. It allows me to go days without washing and it keep my hair from tangling. My mom crimped my hair all through kindergarten so I got used to the lion look lol.
These types of looks are so cool, but I have to flat-iron my hair to do even the most basic braid, but then I lose the natural volume of my hair. It's a conundrum I must say! My hands may just be clumsy though! 😂
You are seriously one of the most talented people I've ever seen! Keep the amazing work coming girl!
Lizzie P thanks so much!!!
I don't even watch the Vikings show, but I totally love this faux hawk ))) It's so cool!
I think I can use it with any casual outfit to make it look more edgy and fun.

I want to get married with this hairstyle. You are super talented and I'm glad you showed a way without the teasing
Since when did Sansa stark start giving hair tutorials?????
I mean, Sansa is a lady who also does her own hair, so it fits doesn't it?
They seriously looks uncannily alike though, you're right.
FINALLY! A video tutorial of doing it on oneself. Every video shows doing this on others... NEVER on oneself. THANK YOU SO MUCH! 🥰😍
I really appreciate the "no teasing trick"! I think I'll go viral on it so thanks a lot - you may have changed my life!
Tried it! Love it! I used kanekalon synthetic hair to make the postiche and it works just fine. Thanks again.
I will be doing this as soon as my hair the right length, So excited, this way is pretty great
This looks wonderful! I love Lagertha a lot and when I wear some of her hairstyles I kind of feel more powerful! can't wait to try this one! Thanks for doing the tutorial ^^
This is so awesome! I always wondered if there was a way to do this without backcombing so I'm really glad I found this tutorial! Thank you!
My arms are hurting just from watching this video. I'll try it soon, thanks for the tutorial :)

this is gorgeous! Once I grow out my hair I'm totally doing this. Amazing and easy tutorial too :)
I love this, Vikings is becoming a very inspirational show to me!!
-Imogen, England

I love this, such a simple idea which transforms the look. X
Love the donut hack. Thanks!
Loved the tutorial!♡
YES! I searched for this tutorial for months! Great! :)

I love this donut trick! I always have trouble with volume on top. Thanx. "D
Thank you so much! This was the exact style I was looking for!!!
I love this!!!

That's brilliant! I'm going to give that a go on my day off.
This turned out great!
This is so cool! I think I'll get a hair donut just for this!
Great job!
you got skills!!
You're so polite and adorable! I love your videos :)
I finally found someone who's tutorials I can actually follow. Most other's tutorials include super processed hair and lots of products. You use your natural hair without too many extras, exactly what I was looking for. I don't want products and heat etc into my hair.
Amazing. I am not worthy!! (LOL!!) Keep 'em coming, I love this!!
when I first looked at the video I was like "No way her hair is that thick." thanks for talking about the foam tube!
Love your channel, you are great at what you are doing

glad you like it!
This is soooo awesome!! BTW...I made a hair rat, but have a few of the donuts just in case. Excited to attempt this! Thanks!
Besides being super kick ass in this video, I'm psyched on how you pronounced her name!

Man that's good!
AWESOME!!!!
I think I might do this for prom this year!
Grrr if only I could get the hang of French braiding my own hair...
Great thanks a million ❤
I just discovered your Channel today and I can´t stop watching :) If I ever were to start a youtube channel on my own, that is what I would have done :) You´re doing an amazing job
+Daniela Sailer thanks!

Michifer Eventually! I think I'd like to do Kuvira next.

your channel is so amazing! I wish I was as talented as you are with hair styling & stuff :D & btw, you are so pretty, you look a lot like Sophie Turner :)

+Sarah connor excited to have you! :D
I fking love Lagertha's hair! so glad I found your videos. I may try jt on my daughters. I chopped my hair! heheheh

Your choice of lighting looks very good for your skin and hair. Great job on filming technique.
+Kathleen Gallafraigh There's like a two hour window each day where I can get decent natural lighting in my tiny little grad school apartment. So glad it's good enough!
LOVEEEE :>
cool! thanks!
I've learned that in order to do a bunch of braided looks I reeeaallly need to grow my bangs out lol
It Looks so good! Great tutorial! I might try it even though I guess my hair is way too thin for the 3 braids.. :(

You are wonderful! :)
Yasssssssssss!!!!!!
You make this look so easy. I can do the two little side braids but I'm having a really hard time with the big top one. Sigh.
Very good 😉👍👍👍👏
Cool. . ..

Its great becuade i was wondering how to do Monroes and know i know
Gosh my hair is so thick that extensions need it, not the other way round😂😂but every time I try sth new, what I leave is just a huge mess.
Just adore your videos though!
This is awesome. I definitely have to try this on a non-horseback riding day. This...this will not fit under my helmet!
your videos get better and better every time! :)

Hey girl, I love your videos! what kind of camera/lens do you use, the quality is amazing :D xo
+Kelly Luc Thanks! I'm using a Canon T3i camera with a Sigma 30mm 1.4f lens
Contemplating doing this for an opera recital. It would probably scare the crap out of some of the more conservative people.... XD
if they think opera isn't supposed to be scary, they're in the wrong profession :P
+Silvousplaits YAS.
Kelli Butler Hope they feared with passion 🙂

Hello from the classical singers Facebook forum! Side note: DO IT FOR THE RECITAL. Those who don't think opera is badass don't know what to think about it.
Ride of the Valkyries, anyone? Because that's the first classical piece that comes to my mind, when seeing this ;)
This is so awesome! I always wish I had long hair when I watch any of your videos. Sadly it's too short for any sort of braiding :-(
LOVE xoxo But... I have a short angled bob cut; any help for me?
I wish I could do this I can't even do a French braid
FauxHawK Yes xoxo
can you do hair tutorials of judith in the vikings :)?
Could I use a dutch braid in place of the bouffant and french braid
Oh, can my hair please grow a bit faster? I really want to try this hairstyle
Eventually probably, but I've got a lot on my plate haha
you should try geisha hairstyles, please?!!
Y ou are artist
If you don't have access to a foam hair donut couldn't you also do a Dutch braid in a smaller section starting from the crown of the head and do a French braid overtop of that?
What about lawyered hair? Is it possibile to do it?
can i do this without Extension?
