    As a new left handed knitter I would love to see how you adapt patterns in a future video!! I learned the hard way to swap a M1R and M1L in raglan sweaters 😅

    I definitely can't expect clear needles at the end of the year. What fun is that? Lol! What works for me is choosing to frog or finish everything I started before July 1st. It declutters the projects I'm not crazy about or am avoiding for some reason. Your projects look fun and they are lucky to have your knits. Lots of love from the Pacific Northwest 🧡

      Your vest is gorgeous! I bought that pattern when the pattern was released and still haven’t started it.
      I love the fish lips kiss heel, but I add a mini gusset to give me a little more room for my instep.

    I love your videos. I get so much information and inspiration from them. I just finished the April cardigan for my daughter in law for Christmas and I did the double knitted button band. I am very pleased with it and quite enjoyed doing it.

    My experience of Palette is that it pills like nobody's business - but it does feel lovely and I can easily wear it against my skin. Definitely affordable for such a nice yarn!

    I love to see what's on your needles. I've been knitting 2 of 3 gift knits and hope to cast off the third later this week. I also casted on my first pair of socks from The Handmade sock society 2. I saw your socks in a previous episode and bought the patterns. So I just started my Sailing school socks. Keep up the good work! :)

    Another fabulous podcast, Amy! As a left handed knitter, I hope you create an episode with your tips and advice for reading charts and patterns for lefties. I am struggling with how to reverse instructions and it is very frustrating. Any help would be appreciated!

    Your shawl looks great! If you don’t do the fringe you won’t need your third skein. I only had to dip into my third for the fringe on mine

    I too bought the palette during the sale in the color custard. I am holding it double with mohair by La Bien Aimee Vintage Grello to make a Lento. It is surprisingly soft and held double it is so squishy. I am really liking it! I'm glad I decided to try it.

    I love your videos! I am left -handed too and I totally understand about the mirror knitting. I have adapted by reading charts from left to right and well just adapting the pattern to be correct. Sometimes trouble with cables but I practice first and make sure they face the correct way. LOL Happy knitting!

    Ooh I’m also planning to cast on a green stick season sweater very soon! I have the yarn ready and made a swatch. I just want to finish some other gift knits too before starting that one, but would make a great Christmas cast-on. 😊

    I love the KFO yarn. I'm test knitting a cardigan that would look amazing in the yarn. It'll be out in January or early February. It's called What the Fluff cardigan. I'm knitting mine in rabbit Rump.

    I'm intrigued about the idea of left handed knitting?!? My hubby is a leftie so when he wanted to learn to knit I thought "I'm going to be the sweetest wife and learn to knit left handed so I can teach him". But after doing lots of research I came to the conclusion that knitting in the opposite direction wouldn't make the most sense. Rather, using the left/ dominant hand might be preferred. So I learned to knit continental. In the end he preferred English😂 and now I switch back and forth depending on the project to reduce repetitive stress so it was a win win for both of us.

    • @neknits
      @neknits  4 місяці тому

      It’s an interesting concept for sure, especially when the majority of tutorials are for right handed knitting! I learned as a child so I don’t have a good memory of how I learned left handed, but my hands naturally picked up the needles and yarn left handed and I think I just did my own thing until I was old enough to figure out how to knit lefty properly 😂

    I never watched the new Parent Trap movie (Lindsey Lohan version), but when I was young, we could dial 411 for Information. That would make sense with the yarn name. You are inspiring me to make Oslo hats.

    Really enjoying your podcast 😊 The boho shawl is beautiful, I think you've matched the yarn to the pattern so beautifully! Can I also ask what kind of lip colour/lipstick you're wearing? It really pops when you hold the shawl up to your face and it looks really natural and lovely!

    Hi, first time viewer, really enjoyed this, so inspirational and just bought some sock wool so will look at doing something different.
    Was also very interested in your hat press, where do you buy this from and how does it work.
    Also want to experiment more by putting two yarns together so thanks for that tip. Look forward to your next vlog ❤️

    I think “For your 411” means “For your information” because it’s the number to dial for directory assistance. I think one of the daughters gives Dad’s new girlfriend “the 411” on ALL of the other women? Have I remembered that right?

    Amy, what sock blocker do you suggest? New to knitting and I’m on my second pair of socks. 😊 I definitely need some blockers.

    • @neknits
      @neknits  6 місяців тому

      I don't remember my brand of sock blockers but they are metal and I really like them! I haven't tried other types yet but I know other knitters use plastic or wood ones and I think in general they all have the same result.

    • @Okie_Stitches
      @Okie_Stitches 6 місяців тому
