If anyone does decide to use their sewing machine for the zipper, please use your walking foot as you would for quilting as it actually does WALK over the bulky knitting stitches and makes for a much smoother join. and stitching line.
The Whitmoor looks so much better! Kudos to you for starting over. Also, I'm sure the "stripey" effect is being intensified by the kinky yarn right next to the newer yarn. I have a feeling that once the FO hits the water, it will just look beautifully tonal and wonderful.
Knitting for olive looks like a book that one wants to knit every single thing in it!! Thank you for your making your videos ! I am so enjoying watching you while I am knitting !
I myself am knitting a zipper sweater at the moment so I am very happy to hear that the installation went well!
I love the knitting for Olive patterns, so happy it is now in English.
That half done cardi looks amazing over the pumpkin spice sweater ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I imagine making a patchwork blanket with lots of different patterned motifs from knitovation - such a satisfying project!!
Lovely video as always
So pleased you are back home safe and sound
Xx❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love having a beanie on the needles in place of socks! The weekend hat looks amazing in the pink yarn. I would definitely knit a cozy sweater or cardigan from the knitting for olive book!
Awesome giveaways!! I would love to incorporate many of the motifs and patterns from the” knitovation” dictionary book. Wow!! So many awesome ones that I caught a glimpse of!😊 and seeing you flip through the “Knitting for Olive “ book, there were MANY patterns that caught my eye! Wahoo!!
The Knitting for Olive book looks AMAZING, I would want to knit it all!! The Darling Wrap would probably be the first one I would cast on! Love to see your Lana Vest in red, it makes me want to knit it again, such a fun pattern!!
I'm crushing on the It's Not a Sweatshirt pattern in the Knitting for Olive book! I would love to make it in something like that variegated pink yarn you showed--gorgeous!
The all-over lace blouse in the Knitting for Olive book is stunning and I think it would be a beautiful knit to try. I loved this podcast!
I would knit a baby sweater with a crab motif and the Olive Vest! Can't wait to see what you do with all those beautiful pinks!
I love seeing all your yarn acquisitions. It helps me think outside my comfort zone when choosing yarn. I'd love to make a colorwork sweater for my daughter! The colorwork patterns are so cute!
Your Whitmoor cardigan is coming along so beautifully. Both those books looks wonderful. I agree the Barbroe Blouse is stunning. I am not a fast knitter but I would love to make one.
The knitovation book looks so great! Your whitmoor Cardi is beautiful ❤I think it was so smart to add the short rows, cardigans can sit funny at times, so I’ll have to try that on my next cardigan.
I would definitely knit the yoke sweater in KnitOvation with either a dragon or dinosaur motif. Although the flying pigs are awfully cute too!
Welcome back! :-) I think you're right--a hat with a motif from the Knitovation book would be a great custom project!
The Barbroe blouse is AMAZING 😍 that’s definitely what I would knit from Knitting for Olive and I really like the idea of a sweater with the pig motif from the knitovation book.
I would knit just about everything in the knitting For Olive book. I especially love the the Darling Wrap. Thanks for sharing all your yarn acquisitions. It gives me great ideas.
Nice to see you again, Amy! Love your new acquisitions. I think that sweater with cables will look very nice in that tonal yarn, the tonality is so subtle, it might actually help with the definition. Make the sample, try it out! Also love the color of the sweater you’re wearing, it fits you so well!
As for the book giveaway question, I’d love to knit the pattern you showed from the Knitting for Olive book. If I was doing color work, I’d love some psychedelic waves in two tone or maybe white snowflakes on light blue socks or mittens (seems like a cute Christmas gift option).
I love your zipper sweater and also your Whitmoor cardigan. I really appreciate how you give details about your projects and how you sewed in your zipper etc. I might have to give it a try. I know my husband would love one but then I think I would also. The Knitovation book would come in super handy for knitting gifts for my grandkids...🙂
Thanks for sharing all the yarn you got while overseas! It's definitely more pricy to get it here, but love to see what it's like in person and your thoughts on each of them. Thanks for going through the two books too! I can see the stitch dictionary being useful for small things like coasters too if one just wants to give a design a go, but not have a giant commitment piece/wip. I didn't know Knitting for Olive was being released in English too...all the cozy sweaters!! Thanks for sharing your journey with the zipper sweater. I've never ventured to adding zippers, but your feedback is really valuable and appreciated.
Welcome home :). I love most Knitting for Olive patterns and would be happy to integrate fun, modern colorwork into hats for nieces and nephews!
Can't stop staring at your Oslo sweater. It's so pretty. Fun books. Think I would try a color work zipper pouch.
Hey Amy!🤗 I love your zipper sweater! All of your knits are beautiful! I appreciate you sharing the Knitovation and Knitting for Olive books. I would make a colorwork hat and definitely the Barbroe blouse. Thank you for taking the time to share these inspiring videos. Until next time, take care!👋
The wrap sweater from knitting from olive book, or any(all!) of the whimsical colourwork patterns from the Knitovation book.. so fun!!!
You brought home some beautiful yarns from Europe! I am more of a one-project-at-a-time person but I see the appeal of casting on new things. I haven't knitted any Knitting for Olive projects yet but I see the appeal of the designs, the Waffle Sweater looks beautiful. I also really like the Nature walk(?) sweater on the cover. Thanks for the giveaway.
I love how good you look in your Oslo sweater! 💛
I love that glacier colored yarn so much! The shine underneath the wooly fuzz really makes it ethereal! Also super excited for all the pink knits coming up!
If I got the KFO book, I would find a yarn similar to the Gerard Wild & Soft to make the Barbroe Blouse. The color work book would be a treasure trove for sock gift knits I am planning in the upcoming year.
Your new and improved Whitmoor looks so great! That stitch dictionary looks so fun! I would definitely pair a few together to make some fun festive sweaters for my son from that book!
Wow Amy I know you say you’re a winter but the rust sweater you’re wearing is absolutely beautiful on you and looks so harmonious w your colors! I think it’s very possible you’d be a deep autumn!
Love all your yarn choices, they are all beautiful. The Knitting for olive book looks like it has several patterns that I would love to knit up.
Stitch dictonaries are always so fun and full of new skills to learn! Love the sweaters in the Knitting for Olive book too
i've had the whole olive set from the knitting for olive book on my to knit list forever so this is super exciting! i also really love the leaf style motifs in the colorwork book, i'd love to make a hat with one of those
Loved the glimpse of all the color work patterns! Both books looks awesome and a great addition to and library.
This year for me was a year to learn more about garment construction and yarn fiber content. Your videos have been a part of that. In 2024 I’m planning to learn color work and would love to design my own hat and sweater patterns using some of the Knitovation designs.
Welcome back home Amy. I would love to knit the Barbroe Blouse and would probably spend hours looking through the Knitovation book. I have to say your zipper sweater looks fantastic on you.
Amy your Lana vest is looking sooo stunning! That is such a lovely colour and it makes me so excited to get my vest back on the needles. I am just now finishing my zipper sweater man for my dad and I cannot wait for the knittting to be done so I can work on something for myself 😍🥰
I loved this episode! I always look forward for them and you always deliver in an awesome way! Thank you!❤
Oh my gosh! I love the idea of knitting socks from the patterns in the Knitovation book 😍
I would knit a hat & mitt set with the stitch dictionary…I think it would be perfect for gifts. From knitting for olive I’d knit a sweater for myself! ❤
Love knitting for Olive patterns I am hoping that the Olive Cardigan is amongst the collection. Thank you for sharing all the scrumptious yarn you bought in Oslo.
The Knitting for Olive book looks so amazing! I'd love to make the puff sleeve tee you showed. And your knits are looking beautiful!!!
I love the idea of making mittens with the knit colorwork motifs on the hand. Such a good idea for customizing gifts with the wide variety of colorwork options in that book!
Hi Amy!! I totally love your podcast! Mittens or a colorwork sweater from either book would be a fun knit!
You made me want to keep working on my whitmoor cardigan! Thank you! Haha...those books are so gorgeous! I would definitely knit that Darling Wrap. It is so cute and seems so versatile for everyday wear or fancy wear! Happy to see a longer video from you, your zipper sweater looks professional!!! Can't wait for your next one.
I knit the zipper sweater for my boyfriend and also noticed the sleeves according to the pattern were really long!! Love the split hem on yours, I want to make one for myself and am definitely keeping that modification in mind!
I'm so excited the knitting for olive book is out! I have been eyeing the barbaroe blouse so I'm excited to see yours work up!
I also reallllly love the Barbroe Blouse, so looking forward to seeing it in that pretty pink 😍 and the idea of a colorwork stitch dictionary is so fun! The crabs on the cover caught my eye and I feel like that would make such a fun sock cuff motif. Fun socks are my weakness haha
I'm with you, I'd love that blouse in the knitting for olive book. The pattern reminds me of waves and could be worn dressed up or down. It's gorgeous 💗
Wow Barbroe blouse seems like a really nice pattern especially in the rose yarn you chose it will look great!
I was JUST looking at the darling cardigan!! I love the KFO patterns and colorwork :)
How fun!!! I would love to knit several of Knitting for Olive's sweaters! Their patterns are so lovely! ❤
Love watching your podcasts! 💕💕
The Barbroe Blouse is so stunning! That would be my first cast on from that book too!
From knitting for olive, I'd probably start with the puff tee. For the knitovation, I think a Christmas sweater or blanket would be fun.
I've been meaning to knit a wrap top so I think the Darling warp! The stitch dictionary looks so cool as well, the ducks on the cover are so perfect!
from the Knitovation book I would make soooo many color-work socks and mittens and from the Knitting For Olive book I would knit the Barbroe Blouse. I have been really anticipating the english version of that pattern! Lovely podcast ep as always, Amy ❤
You have inspired me to knit a zipper sweater. I too have always admired the Barboroe blouse, so feminine!!
The Darling Wrap was just put in my favorites queue last week!
Thanks for another great podcast!🥰
Oooh…I’d love to make a knitting for olive pattern. I’ve been wanting to try their yarn forever. Great episode. You must be so happy to be home!
Love your black pullover, great job on the zipper. Your Whitmore cardi is looking awesome and your yarny finds are all the color combos I really love too. I would love to knit some color work around the cuffs of socks and also some hats and mitts. The Puffy t shirt in the knitting for Olive book would be the first one I tried. I think your contrast/compare for beanie hat patterns idea is awesome too.
From the books, I would knit the same Knitting for Olive blouse you mentioned! So stunning!
Both the KnitOvation stick dictionary and the Knitting for Olive knitting book will make amazing add-ons to anyone's crafty library. I'd like to make the Barbrow blouse. Your finished zipper sweater and knitted Oslo pullover from Petite knit look great.
Ah all those beautiful hanks at the end! And congrats on such awesome progress on the wips(: I'm sure getting back to your yarn stash felt great. I'd love to get into some fun yolks and sleeves with the Knitovation book! The Knitting for Olive book looks like a real gem(:
Your podcasts are always so helpful with the info about patterns.
I just love all of your ideas! Thanks for sharing them 😊
I was already eyeing that beautiful burgundy on your nails just before you pointed out it matched your yarn. I laughed when you said it may or may not have been intentional 😄. I love so many of the Knitting for Olive patterns but I most want to knit the waffle sweater.
I love the idea of incorporating one of the motifs in hat.
Love the Barbroe pattern & the color work would make nice blocks to sew together to make a blanket. Your Lace sweater is coming along nicely.
Love the podcast!! Excited to see what you knit up from both books, I’m going to try my hand at color work this year hopefully with some mittens!
Ive been mesmerized by your Oslo sweater the entire podcast lol. I'd love to knit the Olive Sweater in the KFO book. Ive been eyeing the lace work for ages!
I've always wanted to cast on the olive cardigan or sweater! Something about that leaf motif is so fun and delicate. Your zipper sweater looks great! I'm all for super cosy knits!!
Your Whitmoor sweater is gorgeous! Love your podcasts. ❤
Omg i would love to take the all the colorwork charts and put them on little hats and socks! That kind of thing make me so happy!
I'm drawn to the knitting for olive book, and that rosy color you picked for the pattern is beautiful
I enjoy your podcast very much! You are a fabulous knitter and I am inspired by your projects. Either the Knitting For Olive or the Knitivation book would be a welcome addition to my library 😊
I love seeing your fall sweater that you're wearing! It is beautifully fall! I would definitely try my hand at some colorwork socks and the darling wrap cardigan from the knitting for olive book! Happy knitting, Amy!
I really like the tonality of your Whitmore cardigan. It's so pretty!
Also been feeling the beanie energy in place of my sock knitting recently! Excited to hear your thoughts on all the different beanies you've made/plan to make. I would love to try some of KFO's textured sweaters! Their lace motifs are always so beautiful.
The bear motif and the December hat look like such cute patterns 😭😭 would absolutely love to have those books as the first knitting books in my library!!
Your zipper sweater came out great! I’m always inspired by your projects, especially since we are similar in size and color choices! I think adding the color motifs to socks and mittens would be so much fun. The Knitting for Olive book is full of future dream projects. Thanks for a terrific episode Amy.
I would definitely use color work charts for socks or mittens. Some smaller projects that are not too much commitment, but let you practice and use many different charts at once 🙂
All of those patterns look so cute and would be great to knit! Personally, I see myself knitting the vest (Olive's Vest), and the Barbroe Blouse. If yarn permits, then I would also knit the Darling Wrap. Honestly, I could probably find a reason to knit it all! Lol!
Great video! Really exciting to see all of the yarn acquisitions!
That color combo and yarn combo for the Tee no 1 is absolutely stunning. I need to put this on my Ravelry list immediately ! Also the vest is stunning. As always very inspiring content :-)
Ooooh! Anything from Knitting for Olive. So classic and lovely.
I love the Eras Tour yarns. Those are very pretty!
I've been knitting for years and your videos continue to inspire me. Professional, informative, and new projects and ideas that motivate me--thank-you! I look forward to your beanie review as there are just so many to choose from and hard to decide which one to knit. The Knitting for Olive book looks great; intrigued by that male ribbed sweater you showed near the end.
Ohh, what beautiful books! I would love to knit the Barbroe blouse and the darling wrap in the Knitting for Olive book. Knitovation also looks like a fun book to play around with patterns and get creative with socks! Also, I would love a beanie comparison video!! I get so overwhelmed by all the beanie patterns out there that it’s hard to even decide which one I like best. Thank you for another lovely video!
Like everyone else, I’m super into lace and all over texture patterns recently. The patterns in the knitting for olive book you showed look delicious!
Lovely….. a colorwork yoke. Great episode and lots of great pretty yarns and projects.
Your sweater looks beautiful on you. Loved hearing about your trip and seeing all your yarn. Would be super interested in a hat comparison video!👍🏻
I love your podcast! I’m so inspired by your zipper sweater and want to make one and the same color. The knitting for olive book looks amazing, I love the puff tee!
Your zipper sweater came out so good. I love the color. With the book I’d like to make a colorwork sweater, maybe flower themed.
So excited to be watching you pick back up your Whitmoor with success! I’ve been thinking of knitting it since I saw it on the Italian Knitter’s podcast.
I would love to knit a knitting for olive sweater - I knit their fern sweater last year and really enjoyed their writing style.
Hi Amy. Beautiful sweaters. Knitting for Olive sweater. Welcome home hope you had a great work trip
So much lovely yarn there! Excited to see what you make.
Also, I’d love to knit that sweater from the cover of the knitting for olive book 😍
So many ideas for Andrea Rengel's KnitOvation colour work patterns...yolked sweaters, baby blanket, shawl or wrap....hmmm. Love her AlterKnit stitch dictionary already! Thanks for another informative and colourful podcast!
Your knitted garments are beautiful! I'm still trying to finish a cardigan for my daughter...my first garment, ever! I would love to knit anything out of the Knitting for Olive book. I've been eyeing the No. 1 tee for my next project, also. The yarn you've chosen for that project looks dreamy.
I'd love to make many of the sweaters in the Knitting for Olive book, their designs are so classic and elegant. Also: love your Zipper Sweater, has me thinking about making one.
