it's really interesting to hear about other people's top surgery results more than a few months after. theres tons of people posting about their first few months but after a year you stop seeing so many posts about it. I'm a year post op and my scars are verryyyyy visible and I'm hoping that changes but its interesting to see your experience a year more healed than me. of course we have different bodies so something happening to you won't necessarily happen to me but it's just nice to see someone years later. nipple sensation is interesting, I have tons maybe too much nipple sensation, especially in the middle and my friend who had surgery a week after me has no nipple sensation whatsoever. my nipples are hypersensitive probably similar to the way they were before surgery they just have some keloid scarring around the edges which I don't actually mind because some peoples nipples stretch into a less round shape over time but mine won't because of the scar tissue buildup so they're always going to be perfectly round. I know some people wouldn't like that but for me its a plus. I definitely think my chest has settled a lot over the first year and some minor imperfections disappeared over time. I think the drug they put in ur IV right before you go in was valium, at least thats what they gave me. if they hadn't given me that I know I would've had some major panic attacks in the OR. but instead I was just tired and chill. I also had a very easy recovery, I went hiking in the forest while I still had my drains I think so that was maybe a few days post op. I didn't really need help with anything and I was hardly in any pain. the worst pain I felt during the whole thing was them taking the tape off at the post op appointment.
