  • In this video I will show you how to replace the rear shock absorber on a 2004 - 2010 Toyota Sienna without any kind of jack or vehicle lift.

    Sorry if I missed it but one thing to do before you install the shock is to " prime" it by compressing the shaft a few times and letting it extend.

      I have done it at least once but didn't add that in the video.

    Did you add that spoiler? I thought the 2006+ models did not have the spoiler with the light?

    It looks like the old one is from Monroe.
    Why did you replace the Monroe one for a no name brand?
    I got the Monroe shock Absorbers and plan to install it. But now after seeing you replacing it, makes me think the quality of Monroe.
    My our van, it the KYB. A little stiff, what most people say.

      I'm not sure about the Monroe quality but the old shocks were worn out and after replacing them my van had a way better stability. I think Monroe is better quality than what I installed. I am frugal sometimes so I bought something cheap but that not always the best idea. If you want good quality I would recommend OEM or Moog.
