David Gilmour is my favorite guitar player of all time. So much "feel" in all his music. These tone tutorials are the best! And Gilmour month? My dreams come true! Thanks as always!!
Bro, youdid great with this tutorial. I just tried a similar set in a different software and it seemed to work just fine. I will keep trying this solo, it sounded great!
Hey Kelly, really fantastic here, thank you a million X infinity! Will definitely be sending a decent tip your way at the end of Gilmour month! Really appreciate what you’re doing here on the tube. 🤠
@@KellyDeanAllenGuitar - My pleasure, I’m already feeling like whatever I tip you it’s going to be highly inadequate and my thoughts drifted to this video clip from the big bang theory. I’m not sure if UA-cam will let me paste in the link, so if it isn’t there, do a quick search on “Sheldon and Penny exchange gifts”. seriously it’s how I feel! ua-cam.com/video/FpGkLzGl1CI/v-deo.html
@@KellyDeanAllenGuitar - Found you over there on Patreon tonight and sent some cash your way. It won’t be that much every month, but kind of wanted to show extra appreciation for all this David Gilmour wonderfulness. I think I found your channel due to an awesome lesson on the Back in the Village riff by Iron Maiden (isn’t it interesting how Gilmour fans are also Adrian Smith fans many times… both have fantastic vibrato technique and write great solos). Also really dug the stranglehold riff lesson and solo lesson. Anyways thanks again for all the Gilmour goodness. Have a great weekend 🤠
@@CC-qb9sm YOU Sir are a gentleman! Thanks very much CC, I appreciate that to no end. Nearly every video I make get copyright claimed, so I don't make very much money from this channel. I do it because I love doing it and it's a good hobby for an old fella. Still like to buy gear though and things I need for my studio. That certainly helps. Again, thank you!
@@KellyDeanAllenGuitar - Thanks for the message Kelly, you are welcome and thanks for helping another not quite so young guy learn the music and tones of some of his guitar heroes! It’s a great hobby!
the only song on wish you were here that uses a fuzz face is shine on part 6. every other distortion tone is powerboost. shine on 3rd solo, shine on vocal fills, have a cigar i think the riff for have acigar was edge of breakup amp with a phaser, then kicks on the poweboost for lead
It’s Gilmore his doing , if you want to learn nudist priest then I propose go to a cathartic church an go in to the confession box an turn on the lights 👌
You're right, where are the women? Doesn't seem like modern women are to taken with the electric guitar. The style of music they like is way far away from classic rock. I follow a few women on UA-cam who play guitar but they aren't in the US.
Haha, yeah! I can check things like that on my channel. Demographics and whatnot. I have less that 1 percent women subscribers. That's cool, but I like to make light of it sometimes.

Does the solo have any phaser? The rhythm throughout does but not sure about the solo.
