Really don't know what words to use to describe the feeling when seeing those extraordinary photos that you've taken and the pure, pure beauty of this frozen world. It must have been a truly unique experience for you as well. Thanks for sharing your adventure, I really appreciate it.
hi Tobias I can well imagine that you are overwhelmed by the large number of birds. the only thing you can do then is to let it happen, and observe and take pictures. you have created a beautiful collage from your 10,000 photos that you have taken. I look forward to what else you leave us in the future. to see❤👍
There are many of us photographers in the world (for I being counted as another) who all have many different styles. Tobias, on the other hand, have a touch for *true art.*
Just... wow. I usually watch UA-cam videos in the background while I work on other projects, but when I watch your videos, I stop what I'm doing so I don't miss a moment. Your photographic skill is excellent and video editing skill matches it. I'm just so impressed by what you are creating... can't wait to see your next videos!
What a place! A dream for bird photography, I think this just jumped up to number one on my "need to visit" place ! Great video! Just stumbled upon our channel, looking forward to see your other videos! Hälsningar från Sverige!
Beautiful video and images Tobias!. What an amazing place to be. Thank you so much for sharing. Really loved this video👏 Hope to visit Hornøya one day as well, maybe next year🤞
Hi, I am planning to do a guided trip to Varanger this March! If this sounds interesting to you, send me an email to togj1000@gmail.com (completely non-binding), and I will provide you some more info on what such a trip would consist of.
Phenomenal video and photographs yet again. Your compositions are very creative, videography is simply stunning. I love how you captured the behaviour of the birds. The music selection added elegance to the viewing experience. Extremely well done!
Thank you so much! This was at the start of April, but if I am to go back, I will probably rather go in the end of March. Would you like to join me this March to visit the same locations as in this series, as well as the Arctic ducks in Båtsfjord? I will maybe do a guided trip for two people, so if you and a friend want to join, let me know and send me an email to togj1000@gmail.com for further info. This is of course totally non-binding. Happy new year!
@@TobiasGjerde Tobias excuse for this late response.. loved to read it! and thanks for the answer! This march will not be an option tot plan a trip to Varanger because i will be there in Mai for a.o the Ruff in breeding plumage., but will seriously consider it for the coming years🙏 Youre passion and enthusiasm is really awesome and great to see, thanks for asking the question! and will def. be remind it!:- )
Wonderful thank you. Please can you advise the dates that you were there and how did you get there? We’re you on a tour or did you make your own travel plans?
Thank you! This was at the start of April, but late March is ideal for the best snowy conditions. I was there with my friend Skjalg-Helmer Vian, so he was kind of my travel guide, if you will. We took the ferry from Vardø (the only way to get out to Hornøya)
Beautiful image and a truly unique experience. One question: Because you could be so close how did you know you were not on top of the puffins burrows hidden by the snow?
Hi thanks a lot! Hornøya island has restrictions on where you can walk, to reduce disturbance to a minimum. It is not allowed to leave the path that goes through the island. The puffins breed right next to the path, but not on the path.
@@TobiasGjerde I am happy to learn there are safety measures in place. Thank you. Lovely images. I like how you include information about the birds as well,
Outstandingly beautiful pictures. You already have a distinct handwriting, Tobias !

Hornøya, "my" island, living 10minutes from it, a paradice for birds and birders. :)
Such a great location!

As it says at the start of the video, this was April. But late March is probably actually the better time to visit
