Thanks to Keith for being open minded enough to be the first PGA Tour player to put the ST190 into play. It's been a while since the last Mizuno driver win on tour - seems fair reward to Keith for trusting us.
Keith Mitchell's win at the Honda was really nice to see. I hadn't heard of him before but I came away liking him. Seems to handle himself well. But I was mostly impressed with his 18 footer that he made to win the tournament. That was clutch AF
I have this head on a VA composites Raijin and it's the absolute best driver I have ever hit. I'm now 52 and can still reach 550+ yard holes in 2 and sometimes with a long iron. I could not be happier!
Tried this club yesterday and wow! It’s for real, blew away 410 and others. Not a long hitter, but always spin too much. If your looking for low spin and forgiveness, this is great. Always played Ping, not anymore!
Looking forward to trying this one out... 180 performed well for me but the color and sound were a no go. This seems to sound much better, can't wait to hit it. Keith seems like a good dude, will be rooting for him this season.
@@mizunogolf1906 btw, are these spin numbers typically what he likes to see? Thought they may be a tad high but if he likes to cut the ball I guess it could be a factor...
Great to see Keith doing well. Watched him miss the web top 25 for his card in a devastating way. Played the rest of the tour finals and got his card and no looking back.
Very high ball speed for such a cold day. Low launch and high spin compared to his peers. 💯 on range vs playing. I've rarely liked my fitting clubs in an actual round.
The last Mizuno driver I able to test was the JPX 900 and I hit it just as good as anything else at the time with the correct shaft. Only reason it didn’t end up in my bag was I’m the type that is slow and stubborn when it comes to changing drivers, 3 woods, and irons. Wedges, hybrids, and putters I will change at the drop of a hat because, at least in my area, you can easily find very cheap and very gently used wedges and putters so it’s it like your out a lot just to give something different a try. That said my greatest strengths are driving accuracy and high GIR. That’s probably why I’m so slow to change drivers and irons. I will however be in the market for a new driver and irons this next spring and the new Mizuno offerings will definitely be tried out and considered.
Of course the Tour Guys get Hot melt in the heads, so this is still different then off the rack clubs. Why I keep lead tape laying around. I'm loving the looks of this driver from images. Excited to try
Been a Taylormade guy my whole life. Got a shaft fitting today for the M5 driver and 3 wood. Cobra tempts me with that F9,felt really good and you get a premium shaft included. My 3 wood is recommended for a Tensei orange that's a 250 up charge. I dunno. Maybe I'm too loyal. Mizuno stuff has always appealed to me too. Gonna have to try this driver out. I believe they go with the premium shafts as well with no up charge.
Currently play a ST180 love the club but the feeling isn't mutual. Although fitted for club struggle with a push, push fade. Shaft is a stock orange Tensei ck series 50 flex-s. Did change the original grip to a Golf Pride midsize multi compound with 3 layers of tape. Any ideas? Alternatively is the ST190 less fade biased.
Have you tried the UP settings? I was not liking the st180 when I first got it. I also was push, push fade. I move it to UP9.5 and I have never hit a driver center face as much.
Robert Davis I actually liked the blue color that they used for several years. Color is never even a consideration of any priority for me. I’m pretty open to the looks of any clubs as long at it performs with two exceptions of course. If a club even has the appearance of a closed face or looks or the appearance of being overly upright I will automatically write it off. I won’t even want to bother hitting it. Other than those two things, absolutely nothing appearance wise has any sway over me.
The anti-Bryson Dechambeau :-) Interesting guy, like his view on the game. Hope he has a great season. Note that his SG off-the-tee stat is right up there.
Own the rogue sub zero and tried this and have to say slightly better numbers and best numbers out there as rogue sub was best. Not changing as just bought rogue and happy but the mizuno bettwr number just and slightly more forgiving id say, can shape both the callaway and mizuno so yeah mizuno stepping up game and i like their brand and marketing they dont hype or lie they just make damn good clubs i have to say still playing the t11 wedges and wish they would copy those and re release in blue wouls be bad ass.
Can’t wait to give this a try. Hopefully you guys are a real player in the woods market this year. Any new hybrids or hollow headed irons in the pipe line?
Looks like a great looking Driver with great numbers and no Flash Face, Speed Injection Bull Shit! Hope you do well with it, would love to see Mizuno give TM & Callaway a bloody nose!
This looks way better than the m5/m6 and f9. Those clubs look cartoonish and gimmicky. On top of that from what I've seen so far it performs. I'll have to give this one a shot.
I'd be keen to know what had done to the weighting with the glue he was alluding to... like what was the final swing weight, where did he put the weight (face?), etc. Doing that kind of tweaking has to change the the performance characteristics right?
I'm guessing based on his preferred shot shape that the hot melt was placed by the toe. Typically tour players, especially high speed ones play drivers D4-D5 but DJ plays his at D7 I believe.
Ben Ross I would tend to agree. The technology advances are great but folks have to know that the way pros get their equipment set up is loads diff (with loads diff playing characteristics) than the general public is going to get buying these clubs off the rack. Good luck trying to get your driver to D5 from Golf Galaxy.
@@iammars142 it does matter. All the pros now use a trackman....You don't think carry is important to know how they're doing? Sounds like you're new at golf. Please don't reply, I don't talk to newbies.
@@Justin-uf9lc I see the grid now. You're right. He was putting that out about 280 in the air on that day. I'd expect 177-178 ball speed to carry 295-300 in more normal conditions. You can check Keith's stats from his win last week at the Honda and they'll probably line up.
Aborted quickly.... tis just another commercial which is loaded with unrealistic praise before it even starts. They're getting more and more tricky in how they advertise these days. You need to check who the uploader is before you get suckered in. This industry is rife with bull. They have to make you purchase a new "wheel" before your tyres are worn out else they'll go bust.
All factual. Keith plays this driver and we wanted to tell the story of how it ended up in his bag. Doesn't mean you have to enjoy it - but no trickery at work.

Must admit I haven’t seen much of this guy but he talks a lot of sense and has a great swing.
He did pretty well this week at the Sony Open too.
Whos watching after his win.
3,1 attack 2200rpm some good numbers...way to go Mizuno..looking forward

mizunogolfeurope Yes no doubt. I’m an older player, with slower swing speed as well. The Atmos shaft worked also. The fitter was impressed also.
