Wow this is legendary! These two songs sound like the actual Professor Layton soundtrack. The accordion has such a mysterious tone to it that is so Laytonesque. Folsense is one of my favorite track from the series :)
I know this is a popular video, but I bloody love it. You captured each note perfectly without failure, not to mention from the beginning you could tell what music you were clashing together easily. Even with the added piano, you made both instruments audible, and I never knew I needed such thing in my life. Thank you! 💜

I literally just searched "molentary express" and this came up I love the art work as the thumbnail of the video and I love everything about this cover it really is outstanding effort and I want to play the accordion myself the instrument sounds so lovely with proffesor layton and I am always interested into how people make proffesor layton music and now I know that some tracks are heavy accordion over all lovely job and I can't wait to hear more also sorry that I did not write a comment before hand.
Professor Layton has such a great soundtrack, and you definitely captured it! Very beautifully, I might add! I really enjoy how you use so little in covers, and get such a big result. I am a huge fan of a less is more approach myself, and you take it to the next level! Great work, as always! :D

Yeah, I think that's always tricky to navigate - because sometimes I want to just keep adding things and throwing the Kitchen Sink at a particular cover, but while that sometimes results in a really killer final product, sometimes it buries the spark that makes the original so unique. (Plus it makes it harder to mix, and I"m terrible at mixing...) So, sometimes the minimalism is practical...
Who would have thought your accordion would suit the Layton soundtracks ;) Top work mate, I think your playing just continues to improve in leaps and bounds.

Hey, I've watched this video about a million times and many others, but I've written lyrics to one of the songs to both of my OCs and was wondering whether or not I could use the Molentary Express cover if I credit you? It's by far the best cover I've found on here and I personally think my vocal range sounds nice with it.
How long had you been playing accordion by this point? I'm trying to piece together whether or not I'm at the skill level to play these pieces adequately. I'd love to play such beautiful music.

I love this ! Diabolical Box is my favorite game in the franchise ! The only flaw I found in your cover is the xylophone's sound. I think that it's too low and the accordion covers it a bit too much. Otherwise, congratulations !
Thanks! I learned when recording this video that it is very difficult to record and mix Glockenspiel. I have some new strategies to try for next time though!
