A good song is a good song, no matter how old it is. There are plenty of "oldies but goodies", and this is certainly one of them. Even though I heard this song for the first time in about 30 years, it still sounds beautiful to me. And Eric looks simply gorgeous, with his lovely smile - and he is so full of energy on stage, for a guitar player. I think I may dream about him tonight!
Isn't it nice to hear music that's fun and makes you feel happy?? The Rollers were the best. Loved 'em at age 15 ... still love 'em at the ripe ol' age of 46 !!
I guess to younger people they wouldnt understand what we seen in these guys, but I grew up watching and listening to these guys, and they made me so very happy..Still love to hear their music, and I hope and pray that all the Rollers are happy. They brought such joy to so many of us! They never received the recognition they deserved and had such a hard life being a roller.
that moment, that 1st glimpse of Les, that was it! 47yrs later & I'm still potty about him, those brown eyes & that cheeky grin. Today 23/04/2021 & I have to say goodbye. Bye Bye Baby, there's never been another you, thank you!
just love those guys, Eric moving all around the stage, they were and still are the best group around. Dream about the 70's those were the days. oh my, Eric was my favorite
Ahh the pain of living forever. Great things come and go. I had an 8 track of these guys. Remember 8 tracks? We really are living in the future. Imagine your 70's self looking at today.
Summerlove Sensation, Shang A Lang, Rock And Roll Love Letter, S A T U R D A Y Night, the list goes on and on and on .. These are the greatest songs ever, the BCR up there with ABBA, The Beatles, The Bee Gees as the all time greatest groups .. all this coming from a metalhead from NJ ... Great songs live forever
I loved the rollers. Big part of my early teen years. still got the vinyls in my loft. loved the sound, heels and baggy trousers. Can't believe the fashion hasn't come round again. Music since the 80s is forgettable unfortunately but I am grateful for Sweet, Slade, Showaddywaddy, Adam Ant, Spandau Ballet, Duran Duran etc. Even Gary Glitter & the Glitter band (if only we knew) God bless all you 50+ year olds. We are blessed. Enjoy the memories xx
I really love The Bay City Rollers since 1975 and I was 19 back in 1975 and they were still awesome ! Ian I know died but who else has died from The Bay City Rollers ?
I remember listening to the Bay CIty Rollers when I was a kid...my older cousin Yvonne liked them. I always have good memories come back when I hear these guys. :)
Love BCR soooo much. Had every pic and centerfold from Tiger Beat and 16! They had some great tunes. After I got to be an adult, I collected every one of their albums--even the Japanese ones along with a video of their show. Great memories. Wish I could relive those days!
wow, got on the Roller band wagon in 1976 after a one hour Roller concert on TV. I was in grade 8 and the next day it was all the girls could talk about. Derek you look good here guy... Scary thought, my son is the age of these guys were in this video. I'm still checking in on how the Rollers are getting on. Where else can a world of Roller fans keep in touch, but on the internet. Great invention. Keep on Rollin'!
Oh how I love this guys...Music of that years and that kind was much happier, much nicer...I always like to listen to BCR and BB, because I feel free and happy...Loving, sensational, and really, for summer...
Oh my god I just loved these guys .!!!! Still do to this day.!!!! So many memories. !!!! Haven't heard these singing since I was a true fan age thirteen . And I am now fifty five. I remember as a teenger. Dancing to them every Thurs nite at the cats whiskers , union st Oldham . Wearing my tartan hat..short sleeve top with tartan down sleeves. White half mast trousers with tartan down the side.!!!! And my tartan scarf. Dancing to there songs. Those were the days. Memories never fade. !!!!! Thank god for internet !!!!! It's great to go back to the gud old days as a teenager.!!!! And to watch singers you haven't seen for many years. !!!!! There was so much excitement and magic in those days.!!!!! If only we cud brings those good old days back. !!!! As for me I don't think I ever really left them behind. !!!! Old habits do die hard. !!!!! Time as moved on but I feel I never really have and I'm still stuck in this big old time warp. !!!!! When people actually appreciated everything they had , and never moaned, and never took anythin for granted, and never tried to keep up with the. Jone,s. With flash , cars, new houses ,new furniture.because we never ever needed too. Because in those days we were all in the same boat. !!!!! That is why there was no completion to out do each other. !!!!! We mite not have had everything. But we were happy !!!!!! And so were our kids. Whom you never heard say they were bored. Like they do today at a very young age. Because they made there own enjoyment . Just the same as we did as kids. And it wasn't all about money money . Like it is today. Thank god for the gud old days!!!! I wud give my right arm just to bring them back !!!!! Whateva happened to them ?????????????
OMG! I feel like I 13 yrs old again,,,,loved this group when I was a kid! LOL you know how little 13 yr old girls are, get all giddy just hearing them sing lol...Thanks for posting!
I am a 43 year old Danish woman who was a big BCR fan when I was a teen. I got to meet Les and was the happiest girl until I saw him with his boyfriend John. It broke my poor teenage heart. Saw the BCR in concert about 15 years ago, where Les and Ian looked like a couple of old junkies. That was such a sad sight to see. But I still love the music and can still get the same feelings I got when I listend to once upon a star, you're a woman and all of the other great songs they did. Long live BCR
OMG I just love this song. I would so much love to see them in concert today. This song was probably my favorite of them all. They're all great though.
excellent music even though the 1970s fashion was different. this is far better than the music of today and will stand the test of time as rock and roll has done so the seventies I will remember well especially the long hot summer of 1977 another good song was motorbiking by Chris speeding and good groups like mud and of chase showaddywaddy
Sixties fashion great, like the flares, Eric got the jeans widened by Bambi Ballard, which I like, Jean's were turned up at the bottoms,as was the fashion in Edinburgh at the time.
Hi I was a guy...and was proud to wear my Rollergear! In fact I was ahead of the US Rollermania wave that hit in 1975! I liked them in 1974...LOL...People thought I was strange in my "gear" and "tuftee" haircut!
so fresh faced loved then .. but the guys had such troubled times when we were all singing their songs back in the day and no one knew.... love them still xxx
we rocking we where rolling? thats what happened when you heard this song? brilliant memories from the 70s, only a 10yr old at the time, and believe it or not the summers where warm'

When I listen to this song it takes me back to my teenage years! Wonderful!

It was Woody's tubular bells skills that really took the Rollers into the realm of greatness.

Me too. BCR all the way. Still know all the words.
Summerlove Sensation, Shang A Lang, Rock And Roll Love Letter, S A T U R D A Y Night, the list goes on and on and on ..
