    Love it Ross. More of this! 5:21 25K Z2 is solid and more impressive that you didn’t appear all that expended from the effort. Stroke looking really nice. Continued to be amazed at your aerobic capacity carrying so much muscle mass (even though I know it’s very grim for you). Much love brother

    Hey Ross, I’m training in triathlon and am wondering what factor size (muscle) can play in overall performance. Would you say the pros outweigh the cons or vice versa. Thanks 💪💪

    • @baberainbow0025
      @baberainbow0025 2 роки тому

      For swimming, a higher bmi doesn t really inhibit performance where as the excess muscle will slow you down in running and cycling. However i must say, that doing lots of strenght training has gotten be in the best endurance shape ever, in the water and on the bike. Yes i run a bit slower but the higher strenght and muscle mass feels nice.
      If you r really seriously into triathlon, a sub 22bmi is necessary to be pretty fast. Since 99,9% are not pro s, you shouldn t care about the weight.

    • @baberainbow0025
      @baberainbow0025 2 роки тому

      In most triathlons you r allowed to use a wetsuit which helps a LOT! Used to a comptetive swimmer for many years and putting on a wetsuit made me rely much less on „strenght“

    I don't think you swam 25km.
    The world record is something like 5h2min, and you're saying you casually did it in 5h21min? I call fake.
    I'm not saying you're not capable of 25km, but not at that pace. For non-pros who are in good shape, it would've taken you around twice that, about 8-10 hours.
    Also, the daylight didn't even change before and after your swim.
