The engines on the A10 also shut off when the gun is fired to prevent the engines from being choked out by the smoke from the barrels. Which is why it's not supposed to fire for long periods of time. Because the energy from firing those 30mm rounds at the rate of roughly 4,000 Rounds Per Minute, is enough to slow the plane down to the point where it lacks the required lift to keep it in the air, so most gun runs are done with 3 second bursts from the main cannon.
Imagine if you found an exact copy of your car in a video game. Most likely, they would not put in the effort to make it feel like your car, It would handle too well or too poorly. Maybe they wouldn't simulate that the zero to sixty time fucking. That's what badger is talking about. A lot of video games make trained soldiers unable to fire nine millimeter accurately without huge gun jump.
12 gauge vs 6 gauge is pretty much just the size of the bore which is the inside of the barrel, the numbers are actually fractions so a 12 gauge is 1/12 which just means that a projectile that is 1/12th of a pound of lead can pass through it, this is also why 6 gauge is scarier because it’s actually 1/6th, meaning it can fire more or larger projectiles in one shot
Most of the fun of shooting a weapon in a shooting game is sound design and feedback. Needs weighty sounds (not necessarily purely realistic ones either!) and needs to effectively communicate its power. For a shooting game as a good example of guns that ARENT satisfying to shoot, I would say look at some footage of Kane and Lynch:Dead Men, an old kind of mediocre TPS game where the guns sound flat and you aren't sure if you're even hitting anything due to a lack of feedback as enemies don't flinch or show signs of damage when hit and just kinda drop like sheets of paper when killed. Compare that to Insurgency's 50 Cal sniper, where the sound is distinct enough that all who hear it know they may be in danger, and upon bullet contact within 2 frames an enemy that was previously standing is now at a 90 degree angle flipping backwards.
Gauge is how much lead you've got. Basically how many of them you need for a pound of lead. 20 gauge is 1/20 of a pound of lead. 1 gauge is a pound of lead.
Game controllers these days have more variety in terms of their vibration frequency and intensity, making the kickback from different guns feel very different.
Recoil is normally simulated by yanking your point of aim around, forcing you to put it back on the target again manually.

Fun fact: Badger has indeed fired a M82 IRL.
With potential congressman Brandon "AK Guy" Herrera no less.
And the M82A2
"I don't understand how you feel the recoil"
*Yes, that is the point*
In most gamemodes, there are multiple players who can occupy a class, except commander, which is (almost) always one

gauge is a completely fucking scuffed measure

Funny enough, I was there for the livestream and there was indeed some dude screaming “WOOOOOO”. That was not edited in

Ooooohhh! That makes sense.
Let's be real there is probably more of our tax dollars that are unaccounted for which is sad.
And every time it gets attention, a major tragedy happens
That was mara. She actually has a UA-cam channel and twitch. Her real name is Alex Zedra
Welcome back to the trail, Kira!
Good to be back!

It is very responsible of you to put up a warning in case FJB stumbles upon your video. Good work.

Badger was a marine
I recommend doing some Watch Dogs reaction videos since the game takes place in Chicago and fits the theme
100th like, just thought I might let you all know.
You should check out Botime gaming, he and the rest of TBLF (Taco Bell Liberation Front) do a lot of crazy stuff in several different games
