Thanks man! Followed this video I got to change the injector seals in my 2007 Caddy. Quick note for anyone who can't start the engine after changing the seals: 1. Push the injector back in place with your hand until you feel a click before bolting it down. Don't just screw it in with the locker bolt only. It has to sit nice and square in the engine or else you will damage the new seals you just put in (I did!). 2. When engine wont start, crank the engine till STOP sign shows up. Then open the air intake and spray 1 second of break/chain cleaner. Crank the engine. A mini explosion should happen in the cylinders and clear out all the air. Engine should start now.
3. Make sure you've set the timing correctly using a dial indicator when putting the rockers back on, and that you've put enough tension between the rocker & top of the injector otherwise the pump won't engage.
Solid strategy, just popped out all injectors from my now-scrap A4 Avant BLB engine (round of applause for Audi....that oil pump drive lasted 140k miles...Vorsprung durch dog shit). Speaking of dogs..didn't have any skinny rope so used a dog lead. didn't even have to tie any knots!
Love it ! thanks for the video! It works great for these injectors because they all covered with oil and they are inside the engine, however on the other cars like Sprinter, injectors are outside and often they are covered with all kind of a dirt and corrosion, I heard guys would lift the whole front of the car up in the air and injector wouldn’t go anywhere and if it does in might kill cosmonaut in the space )
Thank you sir, thanks for taking the trouble to share this technique it’s really helpful. I went through a Ford last night and I have hydrolocked my engine. I got it towed out but fingers crossed I haven’t done any damage so my plan is to go out and remove the injectors so I can squirt all the water out through the injector holes!
Cool man. Really nice tip in the wood beam! Had to do it on my 2.0t FSI as injector 3 was faulty. Really crap job to do. Have you done any videos on the 2006 GTi motor. Got gear noise at the oil pump chain side. Stripped the oil pump from the engine but the Balancer shafts have no play. The sprocket gears are all still good. Only thing I could notice was that the Tentioner seems a bit soft.
Can you make a video on how to install the injectors on PD and how to adjust the injector 'tappers' (lifters that push the injector downward) Thanks! Great job!
Great vid.....my daughter has a T5 van with a 2lt diesel engine.....is it the same set up....she has been told its a bugger of a job to get the injectors out.....and they can break off inside the head?
Dude you made me lol watching this... cutting up bits of wood, using a manual jack then finally lifting the injectors out with a bit of wood LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Course the simpler way is loosen the injector clamps and then run the engine.. those bad boys will rattle themselves loose under piston pressure... but your way is definitely getting top marks lol - sheer brilliance
thumb up for the video. but i think you coud damage the injector nozzle due to the angle they are mounted. i just wigled them left right with a plumer plier while i gently puled out. coud you do a video about the adjusment and the right position. thanks
I've done this the 3rd way ... just pull the rope with your hands WHILE doing the left-right operation with the screwdriver and it will come off easily.
I’ve got a seat Leon fr pd170 engine, replaced a couple of injectors but it’s running bad due to needing the springs on the top adjusting, could anyone point me in the right direction to a video etc to adjust them? Thanks
To anyone watching this video for instructions/an idea how to do it: don't follow it. It's an utter hack job. A better title would be "How NOT to Remove VW 2.0 TDI Diesel Fuel Injectors... The Hack Job Way"

Loved your injector tool removal set up.

Thanks! Great job!
An engine support beam they are cheep as chips and have threaded hooks to act as puller
Tom man Thanks for putting in your time 👍
This guy got skills.
Your Opel Corsa wet foot-wells video helped me today btw so thanks greatly :)
Death Dealer Glad it helped
Sick rope pulling technique man
Nice vid bro, I now know enough to avoid doing this myself ;)

@@BMACVAGS Engine has a lumpy idle.....higher RPM goes great still.
Genius video. thanks buddy.
Great tips and hacks is placing them in the head straight forward or does there need to be a force of pressure on that too?
This is so extravagant lol 😂
lol, please explain
Option 3 i removed injectors today used 2 long nose pliers pulling them at the holes tightening them down went out not that difficult :)

Great video 👍 I want to clean my injector s and put them back in is this a good Idea
If you want, that should be fine. Good Luck
I've done this the 3rd way ... just pull the rope with your hands WHILE doing the left-right operation with the screwdriver and it will come off easily.
zumik83 I did that in my very 1st video. The wood and string is the way forward
:)) haha. I think I followed it and it got the job done.
Do you recommend also replacing any gaskets?
Have you done leak off pipe o rings?
Hey can you do a f eature on glow plug removal on a mk5 golf dog 170 at some stage.
Keep them coming 👍🏻
Great video spit on have a good one cheers
Is it the same for 1.9 TDI engine BLS engine.
It was genial! Welldone
Not bloody bad...! There's always more than one way to get a job done eh?
Hi, i have 2.0tdi vw touran and the cover is too tight to open. Do i need to remove the air intake pipe as u have.
You can buy for around 50 € a spezial tool from your vw dealer.
Where you at bmac!? Have you completed your home?
Does each injector have its own code, is there any particular order they come in?
No they are all the same part
How is the home renovations coming along?
Like that you moved in from your signature soundtrack. It looks even more professional now.
Michiel James House is good, i will give a quick tour but i must find that fine line with my privacy.
BMAC VAGS understanding yes.
Good luck with it.
I’ve got a seat Leon fr pd170 engine, replaced a couple of injectors but it’s running bad due to needing the springs on the top adjusting, could anyone point me in the right direction to a video etc to adjust them? Thanks
is it better with a warm engine ?
I am not sure tbh. I dont like to work on hot engines
I have a 2005 Ford Freestyle and 2 bolts from the power steering pump broke off in my engine. How could I get this fixed
what happened to the intake manifold?
Hi, do you know the torque settings for putting all the bolts back in? Thanks
No sorry, I am sure you can google it.
BMAC VAGS ok no probs, thanks for the video!
My torque setting would be tight
Genial👍
What's the torque settings for the rocker covers bolts?
you will have to check online for your vehicle model
I love UA-cam...
Thank you sir
good
Thank you, I appreciate that
Very smart
TOP MAN
Anything similar to this for a 2010 2ltr seat fr diesel as this is not it
Thanks
Mint idea save u 100 qid for a puller
Might as well give it a try

I think it's dangerous. pull out at an angle to the direction of the hole. you can damage the size of the hole
Nice
Thanks
This is not 2.0 injektors this is 1.9 injektors ,,there is big diference between them
Why the old tdi's all the time? Come with some new engine blocks please. Thnq
I have changed my diesel injector but still my car the is no power on it no performance
Or you can just wiggle it sideways with two screwdrivers and it comes loose
What makes them go bad is ot just the seals
Why couldnt have they made the injectors outside :(
This is 1.9 tdi not 2.0 which are all cr tdi not PD units
2nd? ☺
This is not 1.9 PD this is 2.0 PD engine
Not a very professional way of doing it, but still great none the less!
These videos are really for people without workshop resources and expensive tools. They are just ideas and views to arrive at the same destination.
Brill video. Struggling to find torque specs for locating bolts & rockers etc.
Great video. May the fleas of a thousand camels infest anyone who says otherwise.

Excellent video! May the death on swift wings come to all your enemies.
My 2014 VW TDI 2.0 is completely different than this video. It doesn’t help anyone if you don’t accurately specify which engine you are working on....
Its a 1.9 tdi pd not 2.0 tdi
Lee Charleton No you are wrong, it is a 2.0 TDI.
This is 1.9 tdi not 2.0
What to f&ck is never see this im fixing cars over 30 years but never see this
Buy an injector bar.
Dirt cheap..
Don't you make any videos any more don't have any hardly on the golf mk5
1st
Why do you even have UA-cam anymore 6 months since last upload poor channel
cheers for the suggestion...i don't like the idea of dust debris or splinters dropping off the wood in to the rocker area tho
Take the necessary precautions an. to avoid that. Or alternatively use scaffold or jack pole if you are concerned.
Nice
