  • This is our 2016 Audi A3 Sportback review in Ireland. Daragh Ó Tuama's test car houses a 1.4 TFSI engine. The Car Buyers Guide test drive this car in Ireland.
    "This summer Audi unveiled their updated Audi A3. Design changes included some alterations to both the front and rear. The interior got some very exciting upgrades too. This week we have the 1.4 TFSI A3 S-Line, and we can’t help but be impressed by what’s on offer."
    So, the facelifted Audi A3 Sportback still looks like an Audi A3 - that's a good thing really. While it would take the eagle-eyed of you to spot the difference, there are a few - especially inside. The TFT display is excellent too - our favourite at the moment.

      Perché la renoult nel modello captur non fa un motore da 1600 cc.da sedici valvole con almeno 150 cv.e una coppia di 320.nm.mi ricarico alla versione diesel.la stessa cosa valle per la Peugeot 3008 che pesa da 1500kg.non mette in commercio una versione e o 1500 o 1600 cv.da almeno 180cv ,Con siderato il peso,per avere un ottimo rapporto peso potenza .con consumi ridotti con una coppia di almemo 380nm.

    This vehicle got an interior complex. The whole Audi fleet is updated in terms of interior - except the A3. Goes to show where VAG has its priorities. The current A3 is very obsolete, doesn't help to introduce a virtual cockpit.

    i have 2016 a3..1.4 tfsi ultra there is no virtual cockpit...so silly..may i upgrade this

    why people would want an flat bottomed steering wheel is beyond me.
    basically it is the same a3 as the 2013 version just with smaller engines which sucks!

      What exactly are you expecting between face-lifts? The 2013 and 2016 are the same 8v model's just pre and post facelift, Audi did a great job face-lifting this car, you have new interior components such as new steering wheel new pop up display, new bumpers with headlights!! That's more than what BMW or Mercedes do anyway!

    if you deselect the sport suspension, does it raise the ride height or just soften the ride?

      Sports suspension is between 10 and 20 millimetres lower than with normal suspension. Thanks for the comment Wayne.

    Hi, the s line comes with sport suspension as standard but can be changed to comfort at no extra cost. Which would you suggest getting?

      Daragh here says to go without (for Irish roads). Sports suspension is good - but so too is the normal suspension.
