the thing about dylan and kelly is that they are such a realistic couple. dylan has never been one to follow convention, which is what i love, he was always so wise for his age. Kelly has insecurities and still cares so much about fitting in, which is why a relationship like this isn't what society would approve of, which made kelly often run away from it, as she did not have the strength yet to fight for her happiness. Dylan already knew, even in high school, that when you find your soulmate it doesnt matter what anyone else thinks of it. they thought the same way in a lot of things, and had similar psyches, which made them soulmates. the fact that it was such turmoil with the on and off again part of it, and the fights and constantly running away from this relationship elevates the immense passion between these two, they had a hard time controlling it, and their passion brought them together and it was very powerful which often made them both run. But ultimately they would finally find each other, when they were mature enough to make it work. Despite the fact that they have the best chemistry on tv, they also were the one relationship on tv that seemed to go through realistic issues when it comes to falling in love.
Beautifully put. I have yet to watch properly, as I was too young when the show aired. So far I've only seen bits here on UA-cam, mostly D&K scenes. Despite not having watched the show, I immediately realized they were the couple I would ship. I don't like Brenda for Dylan, they're just wrong. I find Kelly and Dylan have a much more interesting and romantic story. Even if it started with cheating, their first romantic interactions are not just about desire. There is longing, fear, vulnerability. The kind of emotions that come with love. The fact that they needed to spend time away from each other to grow and be ready for what they had is very realistic, as you say. Time does put things into perspective. From what I've seen they had a powerful bond that never disappeared.
@@crikitaftwabsolutely, and Kelly and Dylan always had a thing for each other but they just never got together and when brenda came to town she zeroed in on Dylan; its not like they were meant to be together forever, he was just her high school boyfriend ; these BD fans think Brenda owns Dylan - they weren't married!! I found it pathetic that they had Brenda pining for Dylan all the time, it was ridiculous
Great writting! Confusing yet revealing. Steve says firstly that "they" do not fit, which can be seen as an argument for the Brenda & Dylan fans. Steve keeps on saying that the fit though in a "weird" way, which almost confirm the B&D thesis in that Dylan&Kelly can not be soulmates because they do not complement each other. For me their love story is nevertheless compelling. Dylan and Kelly is not about what society wants for a couple to be. They represent passion above all. I love them!
What other people say about someone’s relationship doesn’t matter. They aren’t involved, so therefore don’t have a say in it. Dylan and Kelly were connected clearly. So were people of the other relationships in the show.
Exactly! Kelly and Dylan has the best chemistry ; I always thought Brenda and Dylan were flat in the chemistry department but they definitely were a good friendship.
Great scenes. I love Steve here.....and Jennie as Kelly is incredible here....as always! I love Kelly and Dylan together.....Steve was so right in this scene.....they seem to fit together, but they also don't....whatever that means. I always liked them together more than Brenda and Dylan; as much as I do love Kelly with Dylan; Kelly with Brandon, Brandon with Kelly is so much more.....EVERYTHING! Brandon & Kelly Forever and Always; A True, Sweet, Loving, Passionate, Beautiful, Amazing Love!
Kelly was with Dylan because she didn’t have a ‘Daddy’ keeping her from Dylan’s bed. If Jim Walsh didn’t stop Brenda they would have stayed together. Why didn’t Dylan get together with Kelly all the years previous to Brenda starting at West Beverley if he had pick of all the girls? Dylan was permanently sick and tired of Kelly when they were together, always some sort of drama.
Kelly was said to have been dating Steve beforehand. It would make sense for Kelly and Dylan's characters to have parted ways after elementary school with Kelly finding herself amonsgt the popular crowd and Dylan choosing to be an outsider. She does mention that he had been flirting with her before Brenda came though. I don't know why people keep wondering about things prior to the show actually starting, the story begins with the Walsh's moving to Beverly Hills, and it evolves from there?
Jaye H we are allowed to question the way the script writers conveniently invent story lines that don’t seem to match up to past history. Kelly would never have hooked up with alcoholic Dylan especially after her Mother’s drug issues but with Shannen D leaving the cast, the character of Kelly quickly became the new female lead so they wrote clumsily around that. We love 90210 and a back story and I don’t see what is wrong with analysing what went on in their pasts.
The only reason why they put Dylan and Kelly together because Brenda didn't come back with Dylan she say she don't won't a part of that Beverly hills 90210 so Brenda stay in London because she don't won't. Even the writter they wasn't happy with the end of the show
I lloovveee Steve hhaha hes the most amazing person and I love how they just know who" the three of us" is. They are soooo perfect!!!!!

I think Dylan and Kelly represented what it looks like when people come together when they share toxicity and dysfunction.
I just wanted to collect my sausage .... now I got a kid named after me!
Craig Bella Mclaughlan I don't understand what Steve meant?

Favoriting this right now. I am so glad that Steve had to yell it at them. He is so right! They totally fit.
What episode is this??
Dylan und Kelly❤❤❤...ja es funkt einfach zwischen euch❤❤
Love it!
They should have gotten married in the series finale, not Donna and David. Or it should have been a double wedding. They are SOUL MATES!!
I think it was appropriate that donna and David got married in the end
