The fact that Amber didn’t switch the pineapple w/the Avocado but Cody wasn’t upset and cooked the Halibut + helped her by handing a spatula just shows how much of a team player the dude was. One of the most likable chefs in that season
I would have been fine with any of the black jackets for that season winning. They were all super talented. Amber was a little annoying with her whining and "I've been formally trained in France" ego was hard to get through, but she was nowhere near as bad as previous contestants (both in this season and previous ones) were, and she had mega skills.

We've seen what happens when people refuse to put bad dishes in front of Ramsay. One of the earliest seasons had Melissa telling the other to not put up a duck piece that was cooked to hell, and Ramsay was pissed off for her refusing to present. Refusing to present is just as bad, if not worse, as giving a bad dish.
Mary Lou is such a wholesome contestant. If you haven't seen season 19 clips yet, spoilers ahead, but i will always be saddened she didn't win because of Amber being salty about picked last. Since Season 19, the show is less dramatic and they also show many talents which is a good take for modern day Hell's Kitchen eventhough they are still some people keep for so long for ratings. I'm gonna say Season 20 is the most peaceful Hell's Kitchen Season ever as the contestants are under 24 years old and they are still young. When they make mistakes, they immediately apologized and somehow they all act mature than Elise in 2 different seasons (9&17) and everyone is friendly towards each other.
i cannot believe she gave away the avocado! is basically one of the most versatile things around ( if you know all you can do with it, salt, sour cream, sweet, and avocado itself is umami)
