Bro I'm going to put what watching MJ live was like. I'm adopted by my father's mom. She hates watching sports on TV she said she had five exceptions that she would watch because the athletes were going to do something you couldn't miss or believe the person at the top of the list was a tie between MJ and Barry Sanders. There's only 3 others on the list Shaq A.I. and Mike Vick

The *_ONLY_* comparison I can think of... is a hypothetical. *_IF_* Cus D'Amato had *_NOT_* died and prevented the other "MIKE"..... Mike Tyson, from getting in with don king and that bitch of a woman... I feel confidant that Tyson could have stood *_UNDEFEATED_* in the boxing ring for at least two decades, from 20-40yrs, He could have just stood there and month after month after month defeat every single person who dared to step in there. I mean hell there was a year tyson went 15-0 in a *SINGLE* year.... *_WHO CAN DO THAT???_* Well... a "Michael Jordan" of his field can... and I believe Tyson had that potential... but didn't have the Jordan focus after Cus died and all the other stuff happened. I mean he *_technically_* should have won that Douglas fight, and he was in such *_HORRIBLE_* condition then it's not even funny. Tyson never lost the power, which is what kept him a threat and on top for long as he was... but the footwork/peekaboo style/and drive were gone within a year or two of Cus passing. Like if when Jordan came back he was all about money and partying and stopping winning and stopped playing defense... But he didn't... Jordan came back basically the same *I absolutely **_MUST_** win!* Jordan he left as.

What i love about MJs game is its beautiful in its simplicity. There are no wasted movements, no extra flashy dribbles. Just fundamentally sound, simple basketball. No doubt a testament to his hard work in practice.
When you practice like it's game 7 of the finals everything else is simple.

It's why Kenny Smith, who saw MJ as a raw 18 year old freshman at UNC, always says that MJ is the most fundamentally sound superstar. He saw him step-by-step, year by year, go from pure raw Top 1% athleticism and add each fundamental skill bit-by-bit. It still amazes the guys of MJs generation that saw him perfect every aspect of the game. Reggie Miller and Jalen Rose are probably right when they say the '98 Pacers were a deeper, more talented team at the time they lost to the Bulls, but they both just say that MJ just knew how to win. He perfected it. And then weeks later...down 3 with 58 seconds to go.....bucket, steal, bucket. Game over. Bulls win the chip, again. MJ perfected the way to win a game of basketball.

It was an honor and privilege to watch him play. It was as if an artist had entered the arena. He made the impossible possible. Gave us fans hope. That. We too can achieve our dreams if we just work at it. He was the first to practice. The last to leave. The hardest worker. He was simply unbelievable to watch. Saw him in person a couple of times. Goosebumps the entire game. I miss watching him perform.

I watched him play as a Lakers & Knicks fan & he was great but people need to acknowledge that the NBA was weak in the '90s when he started winning. There's a reason in the first third of his career he didn't win anything. The real Showtime Lakers would have easily defeated any of Jordan's championship teams, including the '96 team. That video of Jordan counting his rings, saying sorry Showtime when he pointed to the first one infuriated me. That was a shell of a Lakers team, which goes to show how weak the NBA got in the '90s that a Kareem-less Lakers with an about to retire Magic Johnson & a past his prime James Worthy could even make it to the NBA Finals. Not to mention win one from the supposedly great Chicago Bulls.🤔🤫

I was in 7th grade when he came into the league. I remember not liking him sometimes when I was younger just because he was so amazingly good and I was not a bulls fan, but it was impossible not to like and admire him on some level, he was just so different than anybody else. Today I realize it even more. Jordan played 82 games or just under like, 79 or 80, almost every single year he played except one- his 2nd year when he got injured.
Jordan played 82 games his last year in the NBA. He was a monster and just so superior athletically, but also mentally and any other way you can be as a basketball player. At the time when I was younger I knew he was good, but I did not realize there might not ever be another player like him. Today I am convinced; there will never be another Jordan, for a multitude of reasons, Jordan is the greatest of all-time.

This was not a human, this was an apparition, and we spent the better part of a decade pulling our jaws off the floor watching it happen.

Wonderful reaction! Thank you so much!! Have you seen the Voyager Video? Michael Jordan Rare footage by Voyager? It's the best Jordan mix tape ever -- there's even a segment on the hard fouls perpetrated on MJ (including Rodman punching Jordan while Isaiah Thomas tackles him, too). Would love to see it! Jordan fans LOVE reactions to that Voyager video.
Thanks again! Love your work! 😇

The thing you appreciate about Michael Jeffrey isn’t the jumping or the dunking. It was: a) he was relentless. He’d go RIGHT.AT.YOU.
    b) he did this every night… every time he took the floor.
    c) his footwork was impeccable. He actually worked on it all the time.
    d) the hustle. Nuff said.
    e) the clutchness.
We can have all the debates all day about GOAT-ness but I think EVERYONE can say that he’s hands-down the best individual contributor ever in the history of the NBA. Overall GOAT? Oh well. We can have all the convos later.

I've never watched a highlight reel of a single NBA player that was this amazing. He's just dunking on everybody. It doesn't matter if the defender is 5 feet or 7 feet tall. To visualize MJ today would be a little bit of Kyrie Irving and Ja Morant with Steph Curry. That's the best that I can describe him. Michael played high school basketball without a 3-point line. It wasn't implemented until the 1979/80 season. MJ's Rookie of the Year was in 1984/85. So Michael and other NBA stars were still adapting to it.

Nothing beats a good honest reaction. Excellent video! You might take a look at the "Jordan vs Lebron - The Best GOAT Comparison" video, keeping in mind that vid is 4+ years old. Regardless, the truth is in there. Also, there's a short part of the video that is fuzzy, but it comes back after like 15-20 seconds.

Jordan was a true "2 way" player. Perhaps the greatest 2-way player in NBA history. With 10 x scoring champion while being 9x NBA 1st Team all Defense, and 10x NBA All 1st team. The man was a legit threat on all aspects of the court when he played. It was something to watch a player average 30 points a game, and still average 2 steals a game with one on one defensive plays.

There’s not another basketball player that made or makes me not want to miss a single postseason on either end of the court. You knew at some point, in the words of Joe Dumars, “he’s going to do something freaky.” He did it night after night, year after year, against professionals, almost at will.

  • @magnuslund2545

Difference between MJ and any current player is that MJ can and will score anywhere on the court. Modern NBA is guard the 3 and around the basket and you will succeed. No one current has the skillset MJ had, or anywhere close to it.
