His footwork was just as insane as his hangtime. No wasted dribbles. He moved so quick, yet always seemed like he knew where he was going before he decided where he was going. He's the only player I've ever seen that attacked the rim so violently, yet made it look so smooth.
You only need to look at MJ's rookie year stats to see what you are dealing with: 28..2 PPG, 6.5 TRB, 5.9 AST, 2.4 STL, 0.8 BLK, 51.5 FG%, 84.4 FT% and played ALL 82 games. Then follow it up with this, for seven consecutive years he won the Scoring Title averaging over 30+ PPG every time whilst winning 3 NBA Titles and missing a grand total of just seven games, add in the only player in NBA history to win the Scoring Title and win Defensive Player of the Year in the SAME season. For me though, the stat that tells me he is the GOAT and it isn't even close is this one, in NBA history only four players have in the SAME season achieved the following: Won the Regular Season MVP Won the Scoring Title Won the NBA Title Won the Finals MVP Selected onto the All NBA 1st Team Selected onto the All NBA Defensive 1st Team MJ is responsible for ALL four of them......case closed.
Not only that he took off prime playing years to play baseball and for someone who had not played baseball for years, he picked that up enough to be a 4th OF on a MLB team if they gave him the chance. Then he comes back and 3 peats for the 2cd time in a row. Like Hammer rapped... Cant Touch This.
it's funny to me, when you said he was making people fall, I was watching lebrons Highlights the other day and in his video the only one who's always on the ground is him... And that's the NBA official lebron highlight video...
I watched MJ since his days at North Carolina...this man is truly the GOAT, the Black Cat, the Black Jesus, Air Jordan..all that...i still never seen a human being move their body around so fluid and contortionist.
Dude forget about eras or old heads vs new heads. LOOK at what you are seeing. There is no one today that plays like this dude on both sides of the court and with his resume. No one. No one leads the league in scoring (10 times), be the DPOY (same year), lead the league in steals and lead guards in blocks in the same year. No one leading the league in scoring and winning a championship (6 times). We can all look at your reaction and see what you REALLY believe on your face. You can't even believe what he's doing is real. Saying he was great for his era is like saying Jesus Christ was just a really nice guy for his era in Jerusalem. He had it all and he had no weaknesses.
Exactly. It's called the EYE TEST. Jordan is CLEARLY more agile, athletic, skilled, aggressive, and fundamentally sound. . I grew up with magic and Jordan, so when James came along in 2003, I wasn't that amazed or impressed by his movement on the court
WARREN REAL TALK PLAYER THATS REAL !MJ IS THE REAL DEAL BRON WOULD NOT HAVE PLAYED SICK BRON GET S A HANG NAIL HES SITTING OUT AND BRON CHERRY PICKS AND TAKE PLAYES OFF I HAVE SEEN VIDS NOT SURE ABOUT WHERE BRONS WALKING BACK UP THE COURT WHILE THE REST OF HIS TEAM IS PLAYING DEFF.SO YEAH YOUR RIGHT
He got the layup package of Kyrie (or even better since he can stay up in the air for so long), one of the best ingame dunk package, much efficient handle, consistent explosiveness, lightning fast first step and quick pull up (something even Kobe never had), an unstoppable fadeaway, the best midrange, hella strong as we can see in the video, a real elite defender, and that intense will to win. MJ was created to be the perfect basketball player. He is like a combination of every elite player's ultimate skill. AND he was coachable to top it all off. Man, I miss MJ.
@@studyroommusic I think the entire basketball world misses him. To be lucky enough to be alive back then and actually go see him play (I'm from Chicago) was an honor.
Most if not all those who got to see him play in his era would definitely put MJ in the top one spot.. Because he came before Kobe, and Bron. I grew up in the era of his three peat championship games.. One of the coldest players to ever grace the courts of NBA back in that time when he was literally untouchable. His fade away was just amazing to watch, his three point game was solid, his defence was tough as nails, he was not afraid to go to hoop, and he was just a hard player to guard or keep up with. He got fouled so many times when players went against him, that they didn't know how else to stop him, lol. That's how good he was.
If Jordan was playing in your generation you'll be saying Jordan the goat without a doubt... You didn't see MJ play so you gone go with what you know and that's cool... Real un-biased hoopers know, MJ the G.O.A.T- NO DEBATE !
I’ll also say that those that lived through the Jordan era remember what it was like to see Jordan play. We knew magic was about to happen. Not like “oh, Jordan is on, it’s going to be a good game”. No, more like “Jordan is on, sit down and watch magic happen”.
Mike's the GOAT. He can't turn the competitive fire off, watch The Last Dance and him flipping coins with security. Saw MJ at his camp and he gave Arizona Mike Bibby crazy work lol.
What makes MJ special are his skills. The way he moves without the ball, how he sheds defenders easily, how he creates space, how he reads double teams, his efficient and decisive footwork, etc. It's why he has so many plays where he makes it look easy. Some of his defenders also mistakenly say that he isn't as hard to guard ... because he killed them so quickly. MJ was a 1 or 2 move scorer. He didn't need to execute many moves to get open for a shot and score.
This tape is unbelievable, I've watched many times. Another thing that is so great about this tape, there is so much more to see than this tape. This is not and should never be a conversation of G O A T ever when it comes to MJ and everyone else. The discussion should be and always should be who is the 2nd best player ever ?
There's no NBA legends better than Michael Jordan. There's no player that capable of doing what Michael Jordan did. This guy is and always will be the G.O.A.T.
MJ never chased rings by changing teams!!! MJ never flopped and he energetically played both ends of the court for the entire game!!! LJ is a media creation and it shows!!!
There is no MJ slander tolerated. Haters always question "why didn't he shoot more 3's" the 3 pointer wasn't filling in seats. That's why they moved the line closer at first to intrigue fans. MJ's bag was bigger than Santa Claus on Christmas Eve...limitless. He had a lay package for EVERYBODY, an impeccable mid jumper from anywhere. Nobody is taking MJ's spot as #1. You can argue with ya momma. I'll take 10 scoring titles, a 3k point season and the all high playoff single score game over 40k points any day.
I guess the main difference between MJ and the rest? This was almost every single night. Not cherry picking the "occasional" highlights and sewing them together, Mike brought this heat to Every game. Great reaction video. Cheers!
I'm a laker fan and grew up with Magic and he is still my favorite player. MJ is the goat. Bron is nice but in my opinion he still hasn't won a chip for the lakers. The bubble don't count, they had 4 months of rest, no travel and no fans. Those were summer league games. Plus we all know AD can't stay healthy all the way through a full season and the playoffs. Hopefully you watch some of Magic's highlights too and you might understand why it takes a lot to impress those of us that came up with 80s and 90s basketball lol. And the making the case series is good to watch because there really are a few players that have done a lot for the game., and the nba greatest peaks series is legit too.
I happened to be one of those people who saw these two players at their prime. The closest player to MJ is Kobe that's why Lebron will never be my top 2. I can't even put someone from this era to be on my top 10 other than Curry. Jordan is the greatest player, Shaq is the greatest center, Duncan the greatest power forward, Curry is the greatest shooter and Lebron may be the greatest teammate. If Lebron played in the 90's, i don't think he'll pass 15 seasons without having a career ending injury.
Prime Hakeem is the best center of all time. Shaq could over power you but Hakeem would outsmart you and outfinesse you into submission and on top of that he's arguably the best big man defender ever...
Here's the thing Jordan never claimed to be goat unlike Leflop.....no one should consider a person that isn't clutch be in the talk about goat.Goats want to play and want to take the winning shot.....that buzzer beater, that confidence, that swag
NCAA championship, 2 time ncaa player of the year, NBA rookie of the year, 6- 0 in finals championships w/ 2- three peats in 8 yrs. and only reason it wasn't 8 in a row,he played baseball 1 yr 1/2, never had to play a game 7, 6 -finals MVP, 5 regular season MVP, defensive player of the year title, 10 scoring titles, 3-steals titles, 3 -all star MVP, 2- slam dunk titles, 2- olympic gold medals championships, hardest worker in the game, no weaknesses, most clutch and buzzer beaters when games on the line, etc,etc,etc...all what lebron wishes he'll be when he grows up. LeBron's been in twice as long as Jordan was and still hasn't come close to his accomplishments...... what is the debate
Is was a TRUE PLEASURE watching him growing up. I’m from Chicago so I saw EVERY game. I’m 51 & a true ball fan. By me being able to watch A LOT OF ERAS, Jordan was the most EXCITING PLAYER I’ve ever watched! He was FEARED and TRULY unstoppable! Not just on offense but Defense as well! He played HARD the ENTIRE GAME…..EVERY game! Jordan is my GOAT. It’s not only THAT he scored but HOW he scored! It’s like watching a Karate movie or a championship boxing/mma match! Jordan’s had glacé, style & flare! Not just a big dude power dunking only or an occasional jumper. Jordan’s every step was exciting. I’m thankful to have watched him play in real time.
It’s not and never was a debate Michael Jeffrey Jordan is the Undisputed Goat 🐐 period I used to watch him and then go the gym and do the moves I just witnessed directly after the game
Ps. You missed the part (15:45) where MJ produced the greatest block of all time … where he fell for a pump fake and jumped but turned in midair and still block the shot (while still in the midair )
Watching MJ play was just different... I dont know if anyone not having seen him back in the day can really understand... UA-cam cant give you that vibe... No one I have seen coming after MJ ever got me this feeling... not even Kobe. MJ just had everything and he left everything on the court every single night... There is a reason Kobe modeled his game after MJ's.
What up dawg. Great reaction. I'm over here on the Eastside of OKC. You know that's the best basketball player you ever saw. Magic was my favorite but Jordan is the GOAT. If you are still not sure. Check out Jordan "one of the best defenders ever".....
14:19 He was really that nice, those are not scrubs he's doing this to, many of these highlights are against Ewing, David Robinson, Mourning, Mutombo, legendary HOF defensive big men and he's just doing what ever he wants against them..
Don't forget Hakeem, who would eat today's bigs like Dahmer after a hunger strike. Parish, Eaton and Rollins were also supreme rim protectors. And we're not even going to mention some of the greatest perimeter defenders all-time that MJ was checked by.
Because he didn't go to college he never learned how to develop his game and incorporate other skills, footwork, low post, dribbling, pick n roll, pick n pop, midrange, nor learn how to play in different offenses, which is a big part of the reason he hasn't won more.
I’m sorry but no,guess who also didn’t go to college and develop all of that….KOBE,u can LEARN all that from nba coaches and even other players, like Kobe did,Kobe trained with magic, hakeend definitely mj,lebron CHOSE not to learn and improve himself hence why his game s so shitty, also the main reason lebron loses is simply becuz he not as good yall think,Kobe won more a he didn’t go to college
@@fitzroy6970 The factors are not mutually exclusive. All of the skills I mentioned are practiced and developed in college. My statement does not exclude individuals who have a strong desire to improve from finding other routes to achieve the same goal. But some players rely more on their physical abilities without developing the nuanced skills that can effect their growth. I can see your statement and still stand on the truth of college coaching adding to a players development.
MJ was the top scorer and the best defensive player of the year and was 1st team defensive for most of his career. That makes him the GOAT and you need to watch the Voyager one and two it will show you how hard they played him throwing him to the ground. today you can't do anything like that, if he was playing today he's average 50 points a game.
All this young people in shock watching MJ hanging like he’s levitating and I’m like dude why the hell do you think those snickers are called AIR JORDANS? 😂😂😂
It’s Jordan then everyone else. He is leaps and bounds ahead of everyone. The best player I have ever seen. I came up in Chicago watching them play. Thankful I was able to witness this in real time
48 inch vertical 9.75x11.5 inch hands, almost Shaq sized hands...one of one. To think it only took one generation to doubt hes the greatest, when its all on film, makes me question all of history.
not sure if you noticed but at the end of the video they showed back to back clips of jordan doing the same moves from his rookie year and his last year with the bulls. the level of skill he maintained was insane.
When you asked "Who was that???" That lil ass boy was Tyrone "Muggsy" Bogues, you might wanna check him out........although he never did it in game to my knowledge, it is rumored that he could jump high enough to dunk at 5'3".......with or without dunking though, he was a problem
I probably watched 90% of his games with the Bulls (thank you Super Station WGN). He played that hard ALL THE TIME! If LeBron played as consistently hard as Michael, I believe he would have retired long before breaking Kareem's scoring record.
He's not only a good player, a great athlete but he's also a winning leader and a winning team player. Lastly, a lot of players in Kobe or Lebron's generation had him as their ideal player, so it's natural to model their game from MJ. No one's flying like him tha time and no one had the same grit for the winning like him. Of course evolution of the game, science and technology improved over time.
Look few of us are Bulls fans but we had to admit sometime along his career MJ was the Goat. For me it was his 5th ring a 3 peat then 2peat. The highlights can show the legit drama especially in playoffs. Often the ECF was better than Finals. So it’s ok to have a favorite player who isn’t the 🐐. BTW watch dunk contest between MJ & Dominique the best contest still
Coached by Dean Smith, Bob Knight, and Phil Jackson. Got Doctor J moves and brought it to a higher level. He’s at the top of the basketball mountain. Been Kobe’s mentor as well.
The difference in LJ and MJ is the mentality. MJ was a KILLER 82 games a year even with the flu. Lebron complains about having to play 65 games without near the intensity
Bro, you paused one of the best scenes right before, then talked about his hangtime and didn't notice the incredible steal/block.... MJ was a MONSTER!!!
Other players have bags. Jordan had Prince Hakeem luggage that everyone took. They still couldn’t be called “Black Jesus”. “The boy has got his own money!”
Very true. After the first time Bird faced MJ in the NBA he told a Boston Globe reporter "That guy is going to be the greatest ever - you just watch." Not only did Larry become a legend, he also became a prophet. In MJ's second year, after they were swept by Bird and his FOUR hall-of-fame teammates he said "That was God disguised as Jordan." Which is a huge compliment since Larry gave no one credit. Ainge was on Ys Guy podcast and said "Even though our stacked team swept the Bulls, we all knew Jordan was the best player on the floor. There was never a doubt at the end of any playoff series he was ever in who was the best player in the world.” By late 80s Magic said "There's Jordan then there's everybody else."
The only person to ever play like Jordan was Kobe. Kobe and Jordan in the off season would get together and workout and play a lot of one on one. Needless to say, Kobe took Michael's game and made it his as well. The great thing is that Kobe had no problem admitting that.. He thought Jordans game was flawless, and he wanted that for himself so he would be ungaurdable. Very smart of Kobe if you ask me.
One thing you said, someone changed teams so you don't respect them anymore. What do you think Labron did? He traded teams to improve his chances of winning. Jordan stayed with the Bulls for his whole career. Except when he played with the Wizards. He stayed and worked his way to the top. He is the GOAT !!!! Closest to him was Kobe!!! Sorry
Never heard MJ call himself the GOAT. What separates Jordan from the rest was his mental game. Nobody even close. Every game he gave 100%. People who have experienced both eras of basketball are in a much better position to say whose the goat than those who never seen MJ lace up his shoes.
And this was the era where big man dominated and a SG MJ was the most dominant of them all and in today's league where theres no big man dominating or dominanting the paint LeBron with his size speed and athleticism should've been doing damage like this with no hand checking its really ashamed we didn't get that from LBJ but anyway MJ the GOAT
I think u choose Lebron by default cause he was forced on ya generation unfortunately.. saying he giving players 25 at 19yts old don’t equate to GOAT status lol after u mentioned all MJ did.. It’s MJ then everybody else.. it’s ok for Lebron to be ya favorite player and MJ the GOAT, both things can be right my guy lol u don’t have to change Lebron being ya favorite player, to acknowledge the obvious that MJ is goat.. that’s like trying to dispute if the Mona Lisa portrait is great
2:40 - Yeah, but M.J. wasn't the one crowning _himself_ with "That right there is what made *me* the greatest of all-time" 🤦♂️ LeFlop thinks *_WAY_* TOO highly of himself.

In the last 50 years, Career Résumé - Total Achievements: (Titles / MVPs / Finals MVPs / 1st All-NBA / 1st All-DEF / Scoring Titles/ All-Star MVPs)
1st: Jordan = 49
2nd: Kobe = 34
2nd: LeBron = 34
4th: Kareem = 33
5th: Duncan = 29
…
2nd-5th you can debate 2nd-5th place but Jordan is so far ahead of everyone else…it’s not even close. Also the most amazing thing is that Jordan accomplished all this while playing in at least 5 years less than the other players
...
To put things into perspective, players like Giannis and Curry have 14 Career Total Achievements
His footwork was just as insane as his hangtime. No wasted dribbles. He moved so quick, yet always seemed like he knew where he was going before he decided where he was going. He's the only player I've ever seen that attacked the rim so violently, yet made it look so smooth.
Don't forget, no flopping, no whining to refs, no traveling, no elbow clear-outs to get to rim.
If you don't end up with MJ as #1, keep watching young man. You'll get there...LOL!!
🎓
Agree.
I'm an "old head". Was watching MJ at the beginning of his NBA career. He's the GOAT. There's no question in my mind.
Your face watching this is the reason Jordan is the greatest. We all look like children when we watch Him. He was the best hands down. Mesmerizing.
He’s top two and he ain’t two.
I saw it I was there I'm 50+ years old and I have seen Magic, Bird, Kobe, and yes Lebron and Michael Jordan is the GOAT.
Eye test alone, best player ever.
Killer instinct, determination, winning mentality and relentless.
For me though, the stat that tells me he is the GOAT and it isn't even close is this one, in NBA history only four players have in the SAME season achieved the following:
Won the Regular Season MVP
Won the Scoring Title
Won the NBA Title
Won the Finals MVP
Selected onto the All NBA 1st Team
Selected onto the All NBA Defensive 1st Team
MJ is responsible for ALL four of them......case closed.
Jordan took pride in playing 82 games a year
No way you can watch this man and not say he’s 🐐. And he won on top of it all
Not only that he took off prime playing years to play baseball and for someone who had not played baseball for years, he picked that up enough to be a 4th OF on a MLB team if they gave him the chance. Then he comes back and 3 peats for the 2cd time in a row. Like Hammer rapped... Cant Touch This.
I been watching the NBA since the great DrJ sixers teams..lebron is probably like the 15th best player I've ever seen.
Exactly
15th?🤔nah I’ve seen at least 50 better players than lebron
Maybe 15th. And that's a big maybe. Just on his lack of defense alone he slides far down the list, well out of the top 10.
The only thing Lebron has is longevity. If PEDs ever get "proven", he doesn't even have that. (He's 100% on them. You can't tell me different)
@nathanlawson4643 that's debatable as well. Look at how many seasons MJ played all 82 games compared to LeLimp.
it's funny to me, when you said he was making people fall, I was watching lebrons Highlights the other day and in his video the only one who's always on the ground is him... And that's the NBA official lebron highlight video...
REAL TALK AND BRON TAKES PLAYS OFF AND I HAVE EVEN SEEN BRON WALKING BACK UP THE COURT WHILE THE REST OF HIS TEAM IS PLAYING DEFF
I watched MJ since his days at North Carolina...this man is truly the GOAT, the Black Cat, the Black Jesus, Air Jordan..all that...i still never seen a human being move their body around so fluid and contortionist.
"You know who kinda play like Jordan?"
Answer is, nobody.
@@stevencoardvenice Correctomundo
He COMPETES to WIN..NOT for JUST STATS..if u don’t WIN the STATS are NOTHING but SELFISH ACCOMPLISHMENTS..if you WIN the TEAM WINS 😳
I’ll also say that those that lived through the Jordan era remember what it was like to see Jordan play. We knew magic was about to happen. Not like “oh, Jordan is on, it’s going to be a good game”. No, more like “Jordan is on, sit down and watch magic happen”.
The man, the myth, the icon of icons his royal airness. MICHAEL JORDAN
You sound like Zach LaVine. He said pretty much the same thing.
It's always gratifying to watch the reaction of someone such as yourself when they're exposed to true greatness for the first time.
Fosho. Seen at least 5 other react vids all lebron fans. They all had a shocked reset button put on em.
I'm 26 but I really still don't understand how anyone can objectively evaluate both players and not come to the conclusion MJ is no.1
Mike's the GOAT. He can't turn the competitive fire off, watch The Last Dance and him flipping coins with security. Saw MJ at his camp and he gave Arizona Mike Bibby crazy work lol.
Youngster, He's really that dude. His bag is deeper than anyone's. You're going to hate hearing this, but lebron isn't top 20, especially skill wise.
He mastered the fundamentals taught to him by a highly-esteemed Univ. dean.
If you didn't live through it, you just will never understand. This video is like the tip of the iceberg. Jordan changed the fuckin' world.
This tape is unbelievable, I've watched many times. Another thing that is so great about this tape, there is so much more to see than this tape. This is not and should never be a conversation of G O A T ever when it comes to MJ and everyone else. The discussion should be and always should be who is the 2nd best player ever ?
The greatest of all times and there's the rest🐐
Thats what 1k other NBA players said, they wouldn't let that fly, until they got dunked on by Mike.
I watched all these as they happened and every time I see this mix tape it makes me want to go outside immediately and play some ball!!!
I seen it all in real life. Jordan is the man! The goat! It ain't close.
You lost me at Anthony Edwards plays like Jordan 😂😂😂😂😂
Bro mj is the G.O.A.T
Here's the thing Jordan never claimed to be goat unlike Leflop.....no one should consider a person that isn't clutch be in the talk about goat.Goats want to play and want to take the winning shot.....that buzzer beater, that confidence, that swag
GOAT FOREVER ~ He shines alone in the distance🌟🌟
Michael Jordan voyager is the best! Unseen footage and great music!
The way MJ made you feel whule watching him and that big grin that you had.....That's GOAT status! MJ all day.
It’s not and never was a debate Michael Jeffrey Jordan is the Undisputed Goat 🐐 period I used to watch him and then go the gym and do the moves I just witnessed directly after the game
Ps. You missed the part (15:45) where MJ produced the greatest block of all time … where he fell for a pump fake and jumped but turned in midair and still block the shot (while still in the midair )
and the one time he didn't rewind after talking.
That block was legendary
Literally every game I saw growing up he did something insane. Dude wasn’t just the best because of talent, he was more fun to watch than anyone.
POETRY IN MOTION🙌🙌
Coach Bob Knight about pre_NBA MJ after a summer when the Olympic US team (college players ) beat repeatedly some NBA selections and won the Olympics:
Watching MJ play was just different... I dont know if anyone not having seen him back in the day can really understand... UA-cam cant give you that vibe... No one I have seen coming after MJ ever got me this feeling... not even Kobe. MJ just had everything and he left everything on the court every single night... There is a reason Kobe modeled his game after MJ's.
Jordan is top #1.. matter of fact Jordan don't need to be rank he God of basketball, it's Jordan then you can say who 1,2,3 he's the standard
Thankful I was able to witness this in real time
MJ had it all with no weaknesses on both ends of the court! 💯🏆🔥
48 inch vertical 9.75x11.5 inch hands, almost Shaq sized hands...one of one. To think it only took one generation to doubt hes the greatest, when its all on film, makes me question all of history.
MJ being the Greatest Basketball player of All Time isnt debatable.
Once the tongue is out and he's in the air, just don't embarrass yourself by jumping. Walk away, just walk away. Unstoppable.
The crazy thing is, realists already know it was never a debate to be had for number 1, no matter what anyone says. Can’t erase a man’s history
And the crazy thing is M.J. was drafted after Hakeem The Dream Olajuwon.
I DONT PLAY CONSERVATIVE I PLAY ALL OUT..words of MICHAEL JEFFEREY JORDAN..GOAT😳
not sure if you noticed but at the end of the video they showed back to back clips of jordan doing the same moves from his rookie year and his last year with the bulls. the level of skill he maintained was insane.
Of course evolution of the game, science and technology improved over time.
theres no debate..its ridiculous...MJ waaay above LBJ wake up and improve ur own game for it.
Jordan transcends all eras. No one today could stop him.
Other players have bags. Jordan had Prince Hakeem luggage that everyone took. They still couldn’t be called “Black Jesus”.
“The boy has got his own money!”
MJ was widely regarded as the best player ever before he even won his first championship.
Please watch Jordan vs Lebron The best goat comparison !!!!
I shared the link for it in the comments. I agree that he should definitely check it out.
Jordan is the goat. It’s not really even close if you dive into it.
MJ is as close to a basketball God that a human being could get.
Anyone with a brain should have stopped putting LeFlop in the GOAT comparison the day he declared himself the GOAT. Period. Full stop.
Jordan is the GOAT
You can argue over #2, but the GOAT isn't up for debate. It's Mike, and it's not close
You can't even argue #2. If everyone says Kobe is the closest thing to MJ, then Kobe is #2. LOL Although Jordan is not my #1 and neither is Lebron.
LeBron cannot guard all positions, wing positions, yes, power forwards, yes.........but Centers will fry his ass.
No debate! Jordan is the goat period!!!
