"Gimme a week" What a professional!
Don't forget to sort out a bloopers reel. The new machine looks great, but great new things can lead to great new mistakes which make great and exclusive entertainment.
its exciting getting a new peice of machinery
Emerald “give me a week” love it
I really hope you get a roof over you so you don’t have to work in the rain or have to clear ice and snow off before you start work for the day. Your program is just great, I always enjoy them.
Exciting to see the new mill getting set up! I'm guessing the learning curve will be pretty fast for Emerald and Jade. Surprised to see the operator interface is very different - probably more efficient. Just from the few cuts shown here, it appears to be much faster than the LT40. It'll be interesting to see how that increased efficiency works out for the business - processing more logs, more time for edging or other operations, etc.
Marty is the best!! Congrats
Your LT70 will be a free market money maker----Blessed Eastet!
Hello Emerald, I hope you enjoy your new LT70. It's a great machine and also a good investment for the future. The new location seems like a good thing too, hopefully the wind won't blow in your face too much. I'm already looking forward to the new videos with the LT70.
Congratulations on the up grade lady’s and boss man
I can't imagine how excited you and Jade must be. Talk about Christmas in Spring!
Lots of new bells and whistles to play with.
Kia Ora & Good Afternoon from North Shore, Auckland, New Zealand ...great video & hope ya like ya new toy !!!
You need to get some really big steal beams and you could build a cover over the whole mill and be able to still use your big equipment
It is such a wonderful thing to see a business thrive. The upgrade of equipment and the restructuring of the yard means you and your family are doing great! I wish the best for you in this year and beyond. Thank you, Emerald.
That’s no problem Emerald you gotta learn the machine so before you can operate it safely we don’t want you girls to get hurt. Please take your time. You and Jade are a good team. Please take your time play it safe play it safe.👌👌👌👌
I love the way grandpa is always there at the right time
Congratulations and best of luck with the LT70. Should be a great upgrade for the operation.
I'm so stoked you guys have got the machine you talked about over the years. I remember you explaining the plan of the future Mill and I'm so glad this is happening to such a deserving family business!! You guys work hard for everyone have so you all deserve all good thing in your lives.
I have heard and seen many good things about the Woodmizer Company. They stand behind their equipment. Their philosophy is: help your clients succeed, then everyone succeeds. Personally, I would prefer a gas engine, but to each their own.
Wow what a gorgeous new toy!! i am so jealous!! Content doesn't get any better than this!! Thank You guys your updates always make going online worthwhile!!!😊🎄🎄🎄
Oh I hope the Boss man is going to give you Gals a Roof over it ? 🔥
yes you can build a roof over it with the lumber you mill from it (very cool)
Yes,they definitely need and deserve a roof over that machine. keeping the sun, rain, and SNOW off it to protect their investment, besides keeping the ladies sheltered. it's also a place for spare blades, tools, the most-important EMERGENCY MEDICAL kit, etc. maybe an employee break/lunch room??? 8-)
.. and some protection from dust and dirt for the whole motor assembly..
Good ideal, they put up a (model utility building), covering the mill & make prefabricated sections & sell the (complete building kit) online
I will place my order for a Capital Building Kit as of now,,,30ft X 20ft if they want to try it, my request is legit, will pay shipping!
That diesel motor has so much more torque it barely works powering through the biggest and hardest of logs. It appears the debarked is beefier as well insuring the blade stays sharper longer. I believe it will use less fuel than the 40 despite the larger displacement motor. Great investment that should yield significant profits especially under the command of the ever proficient Emerald😊
Congratts For The New LT70 Milling Machine !~!~!~ Super Nice !~!~!~
Em! Yalls production should double with that machine. Grandpa's gonna be busy sharping blades!
Congratulations Breon family for this new upgrade that you made it 👍
Top of the line state of the art machine. The technology looks amazing. I think I would just shine it up and look at it all day !
Congratulations 🎊 Emerald you will learn exactly what it takes to run The LT 70 profitable.
Emerald we need stats video between the LT40 VS LT70.
Congrats on your new LT70, that a dream of mine for my next mill
With the saw coming to you and not away seems like a change that will take some getting use to.
Yea kinda feels backward. The debarker is throwing at you, and lasers are useless. Which isn't really an issue if you are using the program controller. Happy for you. That model is insane.
I like the little saw that cuts the bark so you don't dull the band blade with dirt
Congratulations on the new mill! She’s a beast!
I can only imagine the fight down at Woodmizer central. "I wanna go!" "No me!" "You got to go last time!" "That's why I should be allowed to go." "I'll buy your drinks during the Super Bowl if you let me go." Etc, etc, etc. Seems like the young guy got the nod. I'm sure it was a memorable day for him, and he learned almost as much as Emerald!!😆🤣😆 Use it in good health, ladies!!!😍
You got this Em , you'll be seasoned pro in a week on this machine 😊
Congratulations! New TOOLS (aka Toys) are always a lot of fun and intense work training on the new system. Overall this will definitely increase your productivity.
Hot Doggie!! We got us a 70!! Nice set up!
That mill looks very interesting and I’m sure very productive on each cut !
Look at that caterpillar cable keeping those wires safe.
Wow, that machine is huge to the 40.
I have no bought you ladies will master the operation in short order.
A game changer on length, size, and speed.
I'm predicting Dads going to be plenty busy in the field to keep up with you two.
God Bless the family
congrats Em I waited for this video all day thats a huge upgrade.
Dunno what’s so relaxing about these videos but my labs and I love em!
Hi Emerald, i have no doubt you will master that monster in less than 2 days.......Good luck gorgeous.... 😘
The new mill is a beast😮 and that live deck is huge ❤❤
Cool Equipment for sure!!! I think the Folks in Indianapolis are doing a Fine Job Building Mills!!!
Congratulations on the new mill. Looking forward to seeing it in action
Congrats on the upgrade! It's definitely big enough to handle phasers. Once they're invented. Also compliments that newly refurbished gigantic Skidder even more now.
Congratulations on your new Mill. I’d like to see you guys growing looks like quite the machine.
So exciting! Looks like much more efficient operation along with larger capacity. Congratulations!
That is so exciting, the Wood-Mizer will definitely be my next purchase, beautiful ❤
A big girls Christmas!!
Can hardly wait to open all of the big toys and get to run all of the engines n stuff!!
Enjoy,be carefull,
Be awesome as
always !!
🤙 🐺🧙♂️🦊👍
That thing is a beast, your excitement is contagious, very happy for you guys
Wow! that's one hell of a saw. Congrats gang. The live deck is worth the price whatever it cost you. Your life is about to be fundamentally changed for the good. You will have to build a house for it now! Cheers
I loved the fact that in the begining when that young man was teaching Em, Grandpa was zeroed in on him. Lol
That was probly the best day of work hes ever had, Its so fun to see her enthusiasm ! its like the best present she ever got ! great to see the new generations taking on this kind of work !
I've been using the LT70 for two years now and it runs like a dream. You'll love it.
Did a brief comparison with the LT40. Big expense for a little gain IMO. 35 vs 55 HP, 45K vs 65K, Heavier. But with no log rolling and LT70 capable of milling up to 1,000 board feet per hour, it may pay for itself shortly. Seems like it takes valuable yard space.
Congratulations on the new machine! Looking forward to more videos with the LT70.
Having the operator station at the opposite end of the mill is going to take some getting used to. I've never seen a live deck for a LT70.
I find that strange as well. With the LT40 they were able to see the blade height and adjust it if necessary before the cut. Now it doesn't seem easy or even possible. Plus I wonder how difficult setting up for quarter-sawn lumber will be.
@@bille294I think it can be used on either end.
@@davidcolwell614 No, the blade will only cut in one direction. It's all backward from the LT40. It will take some getting used to, but I'm sure the ladies will have a handle on it within a week.
worse than that, how will we be able to see both beauties in one shot ? great looking machine though !
@@davidcolwell614You are correct !! The control box can be used anywhere you want to be as long as that is not far from the mill.
Yay! That's awesome, a new mizer friend to keep things rolling...Love it!
Thank y'all for sharing your life's 😉✝️🇺🇸👍🏻
It’s not my new sawmill so I don’t know why I’m all atwitter! I guess I’m just so happy for you guys. Watching you go through the learning curve will be interesting but once you’ve conquered this complex new beast, the quantity and quality of forest products will soar! Congratulations 🍾🎊
It’s YUUUUGE!
That’s gotta be a big change cutting towards the operator rather than away.
the controls on this machine can be anywhere near the machine you want them to be
Awesome video and saw Roxy keeping watch for customers at 5:00 during the new mill checkout.
That's an awesome machine, give me a week to get proficient at it, I love the confidence. And someone has a job building a cover over it now to keep you ladies out of the blistering sun. Thanks for sharing and have a great evening. TTFN
Was probably just before noon when I went by today, saw the new mill running. The yard looks so much neater from 15 now.
I just looked up the address and looked at the site on a satellite view. it didn't have the LT70 in view, must need updating.
@@JayWye52 I have not seen an up to date view of their log yard by satellite.
i imagine it takes some time for a new overfly by the imaging satellites. Earth is pretty big,and there's a LOT of detail.I can't imagine the amount of data that needs to be stored for satellite earthviews.@@scottsoper
@JayWye52 I don't think satellite view is live. I believe they purchase the view and it's often a few months old. Not sure how often they get new images. At least it used to be every few months in the past.
@@JayWye52 Google maps/earth satellite footage can be more than a year out of date, you can still see my car in the driveway of my old home, and I haven't lived there for more than a year!
Can not wait for Em and Jade to do their Happy Dance in front of the new LT 70 wide. Congratulations
Master of wood sawing and master of dance study and master video creator, genius girl
Congratulations on the new machine it looks awesome. Boy, will you and Jade be pushing the material out now there will be no time for dancing LOL. God Bless from your Canadian Friend.
i personally would hope the mill and edger become 1 operation boards ho from mill to edger then stacked for drying
Congrats to hard working American family
A bit of a learning curve there for y'all but definitely a step up, wow!
No roof over this mill!!
Hopefully there's a new roof coming soon, with a windbreak on at least one side.
Thanks for sharing.
WOW!! that machine is a beast!! .... I don't know a thing about these Woodmizer machines but I am diggin the auto log roller feature I noticed at the beginning. Have fun and be safe Em !!!. looking forward to future vids !! 😊
that mill is badass and just super impressive.
Wow, so ich bigger,it takes a lot of place but, now you can work very efficiency.🥰💪🏼🤗🙏🏽
Awesome. Fancy machine does everything but clean up after itself.
I'm so glad you got the LT 70 w! I can't wait to get mine for my nonprofit! So happy to learn from you ladies on the mill I will be getting. I couldn't be happier for you ladies! You work so hard, you deserve the new luxury.... though still PLENTY of hard work though. You girls rock! I know how proud your parents are because I am proud of my 2 girls (your ages) as well. Enjoy your sawmill honneymoon!!! I hope your planning on building a timber frame cover, that would be beautiful and fitting!!!
congratulations on the new lt70
Didn’t see anybody mention it but being down range of the debarker, even with the rubber shield, can be a rough spot. I typically work the swamper spot on our 35 and it routinely throws chunks and stones past the shield especially hemlock. Needless to say, after getting hit a few times I don’t stand down range of the the debarker now.
looking good running the new LT70 I'm VERY HAPPY for you guys' WELL DONE !!!!!
You're gonna do fine, Em. One thing you'll have is reflex memory of the other machines controls. You've been using it for so long it's bound to trip you up a little. Have a great day. I'm so 😊happy for you all
I'm a music man and tho somewhat retired now, I remember in '88 building my first reasonably good studio. After that we made major upgrades every few years as technology improved at a rapid pace back then as the digital revolution took over and got better and better. I remember the excitement every time we'd upgrade the board or the recording machines and the day we finally got a board with "flying" faders and had a computer built that could handle recording endless numbers of tracks to go with it. Truly exciting times. So I said all that to say this, congrats and I feel your excitement with you!!! Hopefully you'll have many happy hours on the new saw and I'll be joining you to watch. You seem to enjoy sawing wood as much as I loved, and still love, creating music. Wood is my second love and I love watching your channel!
Congratulations on your new toys!!!
thanks for asking for a thums up i enjoy you and yours videos so much sometimes i forget to press it
Congratulations on yawls new mill🎉
Congrats on the LT70 (diesel). Sweet machine.
The new LT 70 wide is nice, and the log feed bed, the controller is on the other end so the machine is moving toward you instead of away. The diesel power plant with a bit more power should also increase production. Now you will need a new shed roof to keep you out of the weather and sun.
The controls can be put where ever one wants them to be; they are not stuck in a particular location.
What a great piece of equipment! I am sure you will get used to it pretty fast. I got a kubota diesel on my mill and will never go back . I am in the process to get the LT-70 also but I hesitated a long time because I like very much my LT-40 with all the modifications I've done on it over time wich improved its efficiency a lot. Good job!
👍
Nice new machine you have there. Getting use to it won,t take you long. Looking forward to you using it in your video,s. Good luck.
Huge learning curve on the new mill but you’ll catch on pretty quickly!
Quite interesting to see how different this machine is. Cutting direction towards the operator, turning the logs with the rotating chain/teeth seems to be a better solution than the hydraulic pushers on the LT40.
Some things to keep in mind with a diesel engine. Diesels are hard to start in frigid weather. You will need an engine block heater plugged in overnight and when not in use on weekends during winter months. This may require you to have electrical service installed at the log yard. Diesels use #1 fuel (kerosene) in winter and #2 during the rest of the year. Be sure to get off-road diesel fuel as there is no highway tax on the purchase price. Diesels also require more frequent oil changes than gasoline engines. The lubracation oil used is generally 15W40, but check your owner's manual regarding this. Diesel engines are a bit noisier and smokier as you may know having other diesel equipment.
🤣😀 I am sorry, I just don't see it the same way. Clearly they have been running a number of diesels without electric power to plug into. It is not likely they need our advice... The only time I ran #1 fuel was when the temperatures were running zero degrees Fahrenheit or below for extended time. The key to starting diesels in the winter (above zero F) is having lots of Howes additive in the #2 fuel and more battery amps available than the manufacturer thought necessary.
Wish you a good work with your new engine. Many greetings and thumb up from good old germany
Hope we get to see Jade run the new mill
This has to be the greatest day of this young mans life ,to meet the Logyard Babes ? I would think that cutting in the opposite direction will get some getting used to, like driving on the wrong side of the road.
the controls on this machine can be anywhere near the machine you want them to be
You need to get a canopy over that new mill
Super Amazing!! Way to go LCLY. Nice to see you so excited Em'.
Congratulations to you and your family on this shiny and powerful acquisition. May your business grow in leaps and bounds.
I suppose you might consider investing in a wood gas power generator seeing that you have a lot of wood waste and sawdust.
You will like that mill, log deck, green chained with proper outfeed. Cut down handling as much as you can!!!
I would take great care to ensure nighttime security on the mill.
I'm glad to see your family doing so well. Getting the big tractor your Bossman uses in the woods fixed and getting the LT70. I knew back in the autumn when you guys uploaded the one video from the lumber festival that you guys would upgrade to it in the future. I'm glad I can see this happen on youtube, thanks for sharing.
