I can’t say enough good things about Fat Quarter Shop…. from the wonderful customer service I receive and very fast shipping, to the wonderful instructional videos Kimberly produces for all of our benefit, not to mention the free patterns…..the list goes on and on…
I appreciate how Kimberly challenges us. My accruacy in piecing is getting so much better and I credit the Fat Quarter Shop videos. Thank you Kimberly & team!
Seeing the seams pressed open on the flying geese unit was a game changer for me. I tried that on another project with very small flying geese today, and the method worked great. Thank you.
It’s always such a pleasure to watch Kimberley’s videos because she is such a stellar quilter. I marvel at the way her points always match up perfectly. It’s like watching an artist at work. I would think this would be also be a great block in Christmas colors.
Many thanks, Kimberly for continuing to share these vintage block videos with us. I appreciate it. This is one of my favorite series of videos that you do. I saw a gripey comment and all I can say is that I think you presented this in an easy way for anyone to be able to do the block. I make two seams on those triangle portions and end up with extra half-square triangles that I can save for a scrappy project and I like that! I love your methods and they are the easiest way to get accurate blocks. Many thanks for all that you and your team do. We appreciate all the free patterns and videos!
I love the Classic and Vintage series! Thank you to Kimberly and everyone at FQS. I appreciate all the tutorials and free patterns. They inspire me to try new things and improve my piecing. I love shopping at the FQS for all my notions and fabrics. The selection is terrific and the customer service is the best. I can't wait to browse FQS for some new fabric to try this pretty block!
Great tutorial! I made notes and followed Kimberly’s suggestions. Just finished my block, and all my points match! Woo hoo! Will quilt and bind and use as a table topper or wall hanging.
Pretty block! I'll be making this one. It's so good to see some intermediate to advanced patterns on youtube rather than repetitive beginner patterns. Thanks!
I love large blocks, I've looked for them whenever I can, quick and easy quilt tops! I love the soft colors of these oranges and grays. It definitely lends itself to so many fabric combinations, seasonal too.
I really enjoyed the format you used in this video ... having seams pre sewn does not take anything away from the learning aspect of the tutorial! I hope you continue to use this system in the future!
This is a great block. I have just finished making all the squares for a quilt. Each is 4.5 inches. I am ready for a large block with large pieces. Thanks Kimberly and FQS for the Vintage series. I also am grateful to you that we can purchase the instructions for a larger quilt. 🥰❤️🪡🧵
Thanks Kimberly for this new video on this block it's beautiful and simplified at the same time. I can only aspire to reach this level at some point Thanks again.
