Best…game…ever! The SNES was the first system that I got just a couple of months after it came out, and by far my favorite one with the most games and accessories in my life. Link to the Past was my very favorite game though, and I wasn’t even into role playing games before it, or much since. It originally took me months of solid progress and figuring things out on my own, before the internet was a resource, to finally beat it and max out everything in the game. The satisfaction was just amazing. I don’t think kids today really appreciate figuring things out on their own or investing that much time into things anymore. It’s too bad. I still have my original SNES with its box and all of its paperwork, as well as Link to the Past and five other original games also with boxes and papers. They’ve become pretty valuable today, but I’d never sell them. That’s not the point. I still love that system and those games, and occasionally pull them out and play them. But to go back to that time from 1991 to about 1994? Oh man was that fun.
Thank you! You never get enough of ALttP - I received it as a gift upon its European release, never finished it at the time (couldn't find Dark Woods' final skull entrance!) and finished it later. A big thank you for helping me with many games, and a (belated) Merry Christmas!
There are a lot of things in this game that people say that a quite sad. The flute boy is probably number one but 2:04:16 is my favorite. "What a mischievous thing to leave lying around... The power of gold... Triforce..."

Legend Of Zelda Link To The Past Was a Master Piece Of All Time! When I Was 12 Year Old! And I've Played It On The (S.N.E.S) Super Nintendo Entertainment System! And Again I've Got It On My Nintendo Game Boy Advance! And I've Played It On My Nintendo Game Boy Advance When I Was 18 Year Old!
Excellent effort bravo. However, I'd love to see a more detailed walkthrough with thorough exploration and a slower pace. It would really capture the nostalgic vibe of how it felt to play as novice gamers. xoxo
Hi mate. Thanks for the vid. I am doing a retrospective on Link to the past, analyzing its various features. Can I get permission please to use your clips. chop them up, and include them in my video. I'll of course mention your channel at the end and in description. Cheers either way! - Sean
It seemed like he was watching someone else while he was playing and he skipped over 15% of stuff in games love the game too much to over look that 3/10 he needs more effort and play like a ture gamer and explore more
Most overrated game ever. Played it now as adult, its full of cryptical steps to progress, hints are given by random characters in cryptical form and some things don't even have hints. Full of frustration and artificial difficulty.Unfair: Link can only attack or "activate" stuff if its facing the item/enemy perfectly aligned. Most enemies attack in diagonals, you cannot swing your sword and change sides on the fly. On one dungeon you are warned that if you don't have magical potions you should get some before entering but doesn't explain or warn about deadlocks; you may think its an advice because the dungeon uses many magical puzzles, and its true, but also, the boss can only be defeated using magic, so if you thought it was only advice to make your life easier, you get deadlocked at the boss battle. God forbid if you were playing this thing on real hardware (no save states). You have a bottle. Want to catch fairies for later?. You can't. You must first visit a random character in kakariko town, a sick boy in a bed of a house, that for some reason wants to give his bug catching net. After that, the net is available to you to catch the fairies. For no reason at all. To fill the game. Some enemies are placed in a way that they cannot be avoided or at least not by people who plays the game for the first time. That is the difference between difficulty and unfairness. There's the travel between dimensions/time mechanic that makes everything entangled and abuses restrictive dimension traveling (you have to find portals to do so. All portals are hidden. UI menu is a punishment. Bottle management, the worst. Overall, is the most overrated game in history, made for frustration and to sell (in that time) video game guides telling you all that the game didn't bother in its poor gameplay storyline. I can understand if people liked it back in time, because it was what it was; but nowadays if you say you 'like' this game, you are falling into induced nostalgia. The game is not good, its terribly flawed for modern standards.
@@systematicallyshocked yeah for sure, i figured out a long long time ago haha it’s because you miss something in the castle before , you need to pick up a perl in the castle so you need to go back and do the castle again from the beggining
@@raphael3134 thanks! Finally! Took a good while but getting back to the mountain and traversing it was such a hassle 😅 then you have to switch back to light, go to the Castle and it’ll automatically switch back to dark world. This game was YEARS ahead of its time
