You helped so much!! Good heavens air is far more complicated than running hydrogen, oxygen and power combined! You’ve made this as comprehensible as it could be made, thank you sir!!
For the air pressure bug I have been able to fix it by deleting a grid and pasting it back in. Which can be handy provided you have admin tool privileges.
The event controllers are definitely overdue but I must admit I find it amusing how people make such huge, complicated airlocks. a a little room with a pair of sensors and timer blocks do the job just fine for that. I'll have to jump back in and see if we can do it with less PCU or more compact now though.
I can make an airlock almost exactly as functional as the one in this video, without using the beta. What the event controller offers over and above is the ability to tell when a door has finished closing, before switching it off.
Was checking this to see if my logic was right. Getting the bug non stop in survival, creative seems fine... Good to know after the hours of frustration xD
Thanks for the knowladge very helpful. Just 2 things..... 1 how do i get back in after shutting outter door? Have it set up on vehicle an no button room...... 2 how do you shut of air vent so when outter door open you dont suck the tanks full of air? Have built on earth but want it to work so when i go to space i have no dramas
I missed the 1st question, sorry. To get back in use a button or sensor to close the inside door and vice versa on the inside button, set to close the outside door.
A little late, but I have a new video with a solution for when in atmosphere. It isn't perfect, but may be what you are looking for. ua-cam.com/video/hQsxygHK4a8/v-deo.htmlsi=Zr5cDgvwKUqUUrsr
Button panels are setup to close the doors. Closing the outer door starts the pressurize sequence and closing the inner door starts the depressurize sequence
sweet, but it seems better off getting the event controller to start a timer block instead to do thesame actions. It often triggers to fast lockingthe door open a crack, so a 0.1second delay in turning doors off is needed in that situation.
Not that I have found. It only happens on large gates/hangar doors though. So you can design your ship/base to have unpressurized hangars and only small door airlocks.
I have a couple newer videos on the channel with a better explanation and better audio! I also have a simple workaround for using it in atmosphere.

Thanks for the simple explanation as i just needed the first part and wanted to avoid doing all the annoying timer block setups
Also thank yhou for tutorials :D
I have not encountered this bug yet, so I do not know how to reproduce it. I may have to do some experiments.

And the bug won’t reappear?
@@checkoff8281 unfortunately it can happen again with the same grid. It's more a temporary fix

@@BrianRonald Yeah the controllers are like sensors that aren't location dependent, which is nice.

I suppose you could turn off the vent when the outer door is open and turn back on when it's closed? May need a 2nd event controller, not sure.

Thanks man, help a lot
Great video! Going to have to try it out in my world for sure!
What buttons in first room do??? I buid it, and it won't working, it must be buttons wired wrong.

Nice video! However I'm having issues with 2 hangar doors (outer) & 1 cabin door (inner) then the whole thing just doesn't work.
It is likely the Keen bug. I have another video explaining it but basically the calculations get messed up on the big doors/gates.
There are also problems with the normal small doors.
Is there a bug that prevents this working on survival?
is there a way to fix the pressurization bug?

Maybe it’s a new bug but I have small doors and some bug like that. Very annoying.
Works perfectly.
Jesus are you a solo player? heheh that cheeto eating at the start of the video reminded me of the meme :P
Ha! It was my mechanical keyboard hotkeys to start recording! I have a better mic these days, definitely poor audio.
Great video but your audio quality is painful.
