Here's a better way to use the door open event. Group all the doors on your ship or base. Then you add that group to the timer. Then when a door is open the event controller starts the timer and the timer closes the doors.
I feel like it should be mentioned that you can do some crazy stuff with the block on/off event, since event controllers have built-in AND and OR logic. You can literally make binary computers in SE now. You could also just have a bunch of event controllers monitoring stuff, turning blocks on and off to store the information, and using other event controllers to make more advanced logic. Maybe you have different types of thrusters on your ship that you use in space and on planets. If you connect to a connector, you want all of your thrusters to turn off, but when you disconnect, you want your planet-thrusters to turn on if you’re on a planet, and your space thrusters to turn on in space. You can do that by having some event controller somehow determining whether or not you’re in space, and two others checking whether or not you are connected to a connector. If you’re in space AND not connected, turn on space thrusters. If you’re on a planet AND not connected, turn on planet thrusters. Basically, event controllers are awesome, best block in the game.
How do I use them to make it where once pistons are fully extended it automatically connects the connectors and then when I want them to retract it unconnects the connectors and reconnects them at connectors at the bottom? Or is that something that requires the timer block not the event controller or are both able to do that
Thank you for all those examples. I currently taking a break from SE but i love to see what else is possible with the new update besides missiles and drones
is it possible to use the event controll block to controll when a refinery should pull resources out of a convayor sytem or not? so say a certain amout of resources get pulled in so its not pulling a tiny amount of say iron ore but a reasonable amount (3k ish)
It sounds possible, it may need a tiny amount of math but, I don't see why it can't be done in conjunction with a sorter and a cargo container to help with the sorting and counting
Ooh, i could set up an event to turn off my gravity generator if my freight connector is extended so the gravity of the station doesnt mess with my hauler as its coming in to dock.
im new in space engeniers, so this event controler could maybe somewhat help me with just.. landing xD im very terrible with that, always something gets destroid. So if someone know here how many Controlers i need and what to do with them i would be grateful. (its a big ship but even with many thrusters and multiple landinggears im shid in landing)
You walk into room sudently Plushies starts fluding the room befor you know it your frames has died the best trab dosnt kill player but it eats your frames
I came here from your video on repairing an HDMI cable- go back to it. Put that solder station to work and make more content... Get broken boards, PS5, broken GPUs, whatever... Missed your calling bubba... If you were wanting a sign- here it is... Damn good job repairing that cable...

No need for an eventblock there
group doors set timer to trigger itself now, close doors, stop itself and start itself
done
@uklvhjhvjjlvj I can't get it to work I tried for ever last nite
Dude, nice demo on the Event Controllers. Well explained. Love the showcase!
Glad you liked it!

Can't wait to watch cuz I'm so fing lost on all the blocks. Hope you make vids for the rest!
I am going to do one for the Ai blocks here soon

00:22:00 ground based orbital missile defense.
Thats a better name for it!
Rotor attach/detach works great for self building elevators and tunnel building machines.
Thanks Jade haven’t had time test them out myself yet.
Yeah they are really fun I hope this is useful
@@ItsBeJade Yea it is useful
Nice video. Can you also put more than 1 on off action in a event controller?
Good examples, thanks
Where can I download this world from the workshop? What is the name of it?

But I'll try it out and let you know
@@ItsBeJade seems like i was able to get it to work, though the maximun is 8.3 before the refinery decides to go back to normal
Lots a great ideas. Thanks

If you want a light to flash, why are you using timing blocks instead of just setting the light to flash?
you should post the map so people can exam it themselves

i use event controller to control my trains since they are subgrids.
That's so cool!
Make space ship that launches smaller robots that eat awey world when their full they fly back to ship recharge and goes back

trouble with plushies
