Number 3 is very difficult as I want it to be the best I can do and if it doesn't feel like it's at the best of my ability I instinctively push myself to make it as perfect as I can
One thing that’s helped me to get past the perfectionism is to prioritize. Not every panel is a money shot. I identify 2 or 3 panels per episode I want to put extra effort into, usually action shots, detailed establishing shots of key locations, or emotional climaxes. Those are the moments readers will remember. Understanding that your readers will barely even look at your back and forth talking head dialog panels gives you permission to take it easy on those, and focus your efforts on where it counts.
Yeah chasing "perfection" can be good sometimes as it helps us to improve, but if it's keeping us from moving forward that's when it can harm rather than help. Balance is key in everything. :)
This is precisely the video I needed I started my web comic for the call to action while I'm also working in another comic for a client also god hired, and it's a really good opportunity… I was collapsing, I started to feel better yesterday but still don't know what to do. It is too much work. Thank you guys, you are awesome.
"Don't let perfectionism get you" exactly!!! nobody is born perfect, if you want to be perfect , then be perfect, perfection means to me like being yourself, so be yourself! Being "Perfect" doesn't completes you or hardwork.
Hey, can you guys talk about how to find an artist?I have been looking while I've been writing and I dont know where to look so it makes it so I cannot write or look. Please and thank you!
There are a lot of places to look! You can commission an artist to take hold of your vision on a lot of platforms. Such as instagram (by using #’s such as #webtooncommission or #opencommissions), twitter even reddit has a commission subreddit! Of course not all artists are open to take on a webtoon so you’ll have to dig a bit but once you find someone in your price range you’re all set :D
@@stellecatcher I will not be commissioning an artist....I write and they draw, it's a collaboration of our skills for a chance to earn money as well as to see both of our work to be noticed....so I refuse to pay but rather split income
This is great advice! Thank you! Sometimes we "know" something but we need a reminder. It's good to be reminded that we can't pour from an empty cup. We have to make sure our cup is full in order to be able to do what we need to for others and for ourselves.
Taking a break is important, even though it's hard to stop when you're on a roll. Thanks for this video! 💕
haha meanwhile at Shonen Jump, "get those 28 pages done by Friday or you're fired!"
o my god , yes it actually it is.

you know the webtoon industry has some major issues when they have to help you deal with mental and emotional problems caused by making webtoons.
This is such a good video. Thank you!

@@sarujay1533 I've had offers already....Multiple in fact it just takes some skill 😎...
@@BFOSNRIFNSJFBOXNEN what I take from this is that you don't need a video then since you've already had a few offers...
