Good thing it's already the theme for this game then :D While working with Kane would be an absolute blast, I trust he'll get someone more experienced than me lol
I could not imagine a more fitting theme for the Backrooms as a whole. You did a very good job on this, and when I heard the "singing" part for the first time in VR it really freaked me out. I can't wait to hear your work in future updates
AAAHH I'm honored!! Yeah it did come in kinda jarringly, but I decided to keep it like that, in hopes that it would have _that exact effect_ on people lmao. Thank you so much though, it means tons to me ;o;
This game is absolutely INSANE. Without the soundtracks this game wouldn’t be what it is. Great job man. Keep it up. It actually gives you the “liminal” chills, when I opened the game I heard this and didn’t regret buying it. Speaking of liminal, it sounds a bit like the song is cheering you to escape. Like if you escape, you release the good and trap the evil. And you can also hear the buzzing in the song.
Yeees! I was going for a liminal, repetitive, and somewhat decrepit vibe, and I'm so glad so many people heard that! I made sure to make it eerie yet hooking to listen to, since it's the very first thing players will hear when they boot up the game. It was an honor creating it, and I can't wait to make even more. >:> Thank youuuu again!
This is such an amazing way to start a backrooms journey, it makes the player feel uneasy while also sounding liminal, and gives feelings of aperiophobia. I think this soundtrack is great
This music fits to the game so well. The lonely and mysterious atmosphere of the part at 0:29 describes the style of the Backrooms world building perfectly. I loved it when I finished the game and this music played in the credits.
I'm a whole year late to the party but I wanna say my piece too cuz it still counts. Not only is this song perfect as the "opening"/menu theme - it fits perfect for the end credits (where it was used too). This whole theme has this really desolate, yet falsely hopeful sound to it, kinda like a bittersweet situation which fits perfect because once you're in the Backrooms you're meant to feel lost, alone and every time you think you're close to escaping, you may just end up falling deeper into them. It makes you feel falsely safe and at peace but also extremely uncomfortable. The song loops just how you are stuck in that same loop. Great job with your soundtracks!!!
Dude this track is just awesome. It can make you really, like really uncomfortable even during your happiest moment Super unsettling song. But yet you just can't stop listening to it. You slowly adapt to it yet you are still on edge. This song is the music adaption of what the concept of backrooms is.
OMG YES, you get it! It's so incredible hearing people's interpretations, especially when they're down to a TEE! This was exactly how I intended this song to be. 1:09 seriously reminds me of that abandoned M.E.G. base (At least I think it was abandoned). It also sounds like something from an old tape, like A-SYNC or something. It just sounds really nice in general. Good job 👍
Ayyyye thank you so much!! Hearing the listeners' interpretations always makes my day and helps me make future stuff. I was initially going for a nostalgic sorta 90's N64 feel at the end, since Super Mario 64 was my first "liminal" experience.
0:00 builds up a sort of tension and unease. 0:30 makes way for a creepiness of sorts that slowly but surely builds up anxiety levels. And 1:09 immediately stops all of the aforementioned overall disquiet just to replace it with a new type of unnerving feeling that to me sounds like all is lost (with a 70s-ish vibe). Very nice. I really do enjoy the buggy tones during 0:40.
I just love how it ends with the light buzzing so it's really you going crazy inside the backrooms
Damn you deserve so much more recognition golly this is great
THIS GIVES ME CHILLS WOW
As for me,it is perfect,i love it so much.
When it was my first time playing this game i actually thought that its just buzzing sound.And after 30 seconds it starts...
I literally got scared, because my volume setting were on 100%
And you know what? Thats the reason why i liked it so much.I got fricking scared when i didn't even start the game.Awesome work brother.This song perfectly fits the atmosphere of this game
Ayyyyee so glad to hear that! The music is having its intended effects, I see. >:D Thank you so friggin much ;;
Masterpiece!
Honestly if this wasnt the theme idk what it would sound like but me and my friend play this game and its amazing themes are so good and their creepy and ominous and it just fits the game perfectly keep it up.
Thank you so much!! I'm so honored to have gotten the chance to write the theme song, and I cannot be more happy with it
@@ins0mic and is it me or does 1:09 to 1:43 give you the biggest nostalgic feeling
Nothing like getting ready to play this game while at the title screen, Great theme for this game , so creepy yet so satisfying 🔥🔊
What a mystery backroom music, mate
So genius music
forgot how good this was. Started playing rn for chapter 3 and was reminded how much of a banger this is. gg
Bro backrooms is really a diffrent concept. When it gets more disturbing, this actually means it's getting better. And this theme really catches that. I feel like I am listening the backrooms itself. And you know what? I actually didn't play the game until I heard this theme. I thought if this tune really suits backrooms the game couldn't be bad. I ain't mistaken.
Ayyyyy I'm so honored to hear this!! I had an absolute blast writing this theme, since I'd been enthralled in the backrooms for a while already, and wanted to express it via audio. I'm also honored to hear that my music has helped market the game in a way. Thank you sooo so much for telling me this, you just brightened my day!
1:10 so fucking good. Amazing work.
Just ended the game and this music at the end just made me feel anxious about the futur levels of it! You did a really good job it sound so good!
AAAHHH thank you so much!! I'm a big sucker for cool sounding music that also makes me anxious, which was what I was going for. So glad you enjoy it, that means heaps to me
Ever since i bought the game the theme was so godly and its stuck in my head
This music pulls into the atmosphere of the game

hella underrated, love all the different blend of instrumentals in this, love it so much
;o; Thank youuuu!! I really enjoy using lo-fi soundfonts to give it a sorta N64 aesthetic in a way.
@@ins0mic you did it very well and it all comes together to make it really great
@@clam6883 YOU'RE really great >:o
shh thank youu, I also have a question; is your music able to be used with obviously given credit? I was wondering if it was okay with you or not since it's within fancydev's usage
@@clam6883 Ahh yee feel free to use it for whatever, as long as you don't steal credit or anything lol. My stuff is royalty free!
Awesome work! Great job :)
I’d kinda like a song that’s just more of 1:09
But the whole thing is great. Good job
This is for sure the best part 0:30 - 1:02

The whole song is really good it’s even on my playlist
0:30 to 1:03 🔥
I was afraid of the Backrooms when I found it the first time. Now I can enjoy the story, the way it makes you feel uncomfortable. Now that I know Fancy's and your job, I can see the Backrooms become even more real. I can say this is a great job, and I'm very glad you guys are putting in so much effort.
I really hope we can have even more like this. Thank you so much!
i think you liked all 165 music but yea thanks for music im gonna sub you deserve much more subs
Reminds me of when i first got the game and i sat on the loading screen waiting for my friend to get on bc I was too scared to play it myself.

I find it really funny that sometimes I just want to stay on the home page purely because of this song its really good
yoOOOO this means so much to me!! Despite its simplicity, this is one of my favorite soundtracks I've written for anything. The fact that people are saying this about it just sets it in stone. Thank you so friggin much, fr ;o;
@@ins0mic hey no problem and keep up the good work on the tracks, they sound amazing!

Thank youu, I'm happy with how it turned out too! I was inspired by the liminal feeling & music of Super Mario 64, so I used some lo-fi soundfonts to do the trick.
Love how you use the infinity sign in rooms Because the back rooms are infinite Nice touch I like that.
Thank you lol, the logo is by Oldmangames
