Crushing it on the Edgetx content. Your my go-to channel. Hope to have a boxer sometimes in January. Do you have video on exporting models and settings from the tx16s and importing to the smaller black and white screen radios? Particularly where the models are using external modules on one and internal on the second.edit: just got to that part in the video where you mentioned requesting this. It would be appreciated.
Just wanted to say thanks for all your edge tx tutorials, it's really helped me no end, especially in the mixer and logic side of things. Also your ELRS vids as I also run ELRS in my planes. Like many others, I really appreciate your teaching skills! On the google earth executable setup part you mentioned, it's for viewing your GPS telemetry logs from the radio, if you run a GPS of course. Only problem is I couldn't get it to work in 2.7, and also in 2.8. It opens google earth just fine in the log viewer, but under temporary places where it is supposed to show up I just can't get google earth to show it. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but looks like it would be a cool visual for showing your GPS flight data in 3D in google earth. Possibly to also help find a lost model if you fly cross country!

Would like to see a video on bringing in a model file, like Jonas's OMPHobby M2. if the model file was for OpenTX and if you can bring in OpenTX model files into EdgeTX.
Companion is probably the best option for that as it will handle adjusting your configurations if necessary. Open models/settings from Zorro, save the ETX file. Switch profiles, connect Boxer, open your ETX file and write to Boxer.
Did you copy your sd card contents from the radio to the pc and tell Companion where your sd card structure is? If you do that, Companion will show your model images.
Thank you, great as always. I don’t know what is the recommended way to set SD Card path in campanion. To the G: drive which contains the actual radio SD card or to a local copy on the computer ?
Either way will work. Just be aware, if you point to the radio, you have to have the radio connected and the card mounted in order for Companion to see the contents. If you store the files on your PC, the radio does not have to be connected, but now you need to synchronize things if you make changes to content outside of model/radio settings.
Local copy on the computer, and using the "Synchronise SD" feature of Companion is probably the best/recommended option - it doesn't require the radio to be connected to simulate and test stuff, and means you always have a backup copy of the radio SD card content.

Hey John, When I select Read Models I get the following message "Cannot Load MODELS/model8.yml: yaml-cpp: error at line 302, column 12: end of map not found" Any ideas what went wrong?
Open that file with a text editor and figure out what model it is. The name should be at the top of the file. Once you know, then open that model on the radio and edit the configuration. Make any change you want and let the radio re-write the model file on the radio. That should solve it.

I have downloaded the EdgeTX companion from the official EdgeTX website. The software crashes when I try to upload my SD card folder in the settings menu. Otherwise, it works fine for me.
