Good for her! She has beautiful lines and moves so gracefully , she makes what is very difficult look effortless. I am now 65 but I danced for years, but not professionally. One night in London I met a dancer with the Royal Ballet. We jette’d and pirouetted through the streets and had great fun. He said I had “the moves”. The best compliment! I have never forgot, what for me, was a magical night. I envision this talented ballerina doing the same…dancing through the streets of London with other dancers having the time of her life! ❤
Congratulations! Hope she has a great time and learns a lot! Former New York City Ballet soloist who is from Alabama, Kathryn Morgan, has a self-named UA-cam channel with lots of tips for preparing for summer intensives. Kathryn's channel is an excellent resource for young dancers and their parents. Edit: After I wrote the comment, I checked what state this channel was in so it's a lovely coincidence that Kathryn Morgan is one of your homegrown talents!
Yes this is the about the Summer Intensive.. The Royal Ballet School can also offer a place to people who attend the Summer Intensive to the School itself.
Yes. It’s insanely competitive to even get into the summer intensive, and once you’re in the room, you are literally dancing with the up and coming ballet stars of the future. Good for her! 🌟💙🤍🩵🩰✨
I was thinking the same, I got into ABT's summer intensive, but then I quit dance and crushed my mom's soul. But never thought getting into a summer intensive was that big of a deal. Maybe the London Royal Ballet is better than the ABT summer intensive?
Oh Lord. You'd think by now T.V camera operators would know how to film dance. Cutting her legs off in frame mid shin is not the look! You can see she has lovely legs and feet, the "pointe" of ballet, but they barely show it. The banner at the bottom is poorly placed.
As a master Vaganova pedagogue I urge you to recognize she is a fifteen (15) year old child with a stunning facility, sweet demeanor and is at the genesis of cultivating RAW talent! Have you been interviewed for TV while dancing at this level? Have you tried doing multiple pirouettes with a battery pack attached to your leotard? Trust me sweetie, IF the Royal Ballet School wants her, rest assured their preeminent artistic staff are quite confident that under their tutelage she will reign supreme! Try looking through a positive lens, she deserves that much from you, a stranger!
@@oliverdownunder9397 retire is the stagnant position, where passé is the action. So you'd say you'd pass through passé, but if it's a balance you'd arrive to retire. I've found that's why it's used pretty interchangeably in America
I’m just so happy to see a feel good piece in the news finally. I know where we’re going in a hand basket, Megan’s story gives me hope for the future, because art is the thing that could save us all. 🥰💙🩵🤍🩰🌟✨🤩
the way she said '....ok....' after he tried to turn was hilarious

Congratulations to her coach as well, she did a wonderful job.
Her turnout is insane 😱😱 Good luck, she totally deserves it❤🍀

WOW.. many of us dream of this, I know I did but few make it... wonderful girl, I hope she has many years of joy
Wow! Congrats - you’ll love London . You are phenomenal!
Congratulations!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Keep dancing, smiling, and having fun!! ❤❤❤❤
A truly phenomenal achievement! Bigtime Congratulations to Megan!
Best of luck and enjoy every moment you dance!

Best of luck to her
Will pray for your feet. God Bless
Built for ballet! Congratulations - you’ll love your time at RBS!
Enjoy every moment!
That’s amazing. Wishing her the best of luck.
Finally a new future star to look out for, so excited to see what she does next!!
I think it's a summer programme at the school?

I'm so proud of her and her hard work but it's also painful not to possess the natural talent she has as a fellow ballet dancer
That’ll be an awesome experience. This interview gave me Dance Academy show vibes haha
It takes the right body to be able to have a turnout like she has...a gift of biology and nature. Congratulations!
She has a lovely way of moving that is innate and will be her shining element as she grows in her beautiful profession.
Gosh it's only a summer intensive for a couple of weeks! Is this really news worthy?

Hold on I go to that studio😭😭😭
Update. Jake did NOT make it into the summer intensive.
💖💖💖
“With a little help from mom” hmmm, well I hope she’s dancing because she loves it, not because of anything else.
dude no way my sister had that same costume when she used to dance
( the brown and pink one from the old photo )
When i was little i wore the same costume too
@@emmaflores5535 maybe it's just very popular or a weird coincidence

As she falls out of nearly every pirouette lol.
turning isn’t a strength for everyone
Jealous, much?

Where is wbrc
The host is very cute
... working seriously in the studio four to five hours a day ...
Also..the Americans get it WRONG every time, the position for this pirouette is correctly named RETIRE and NOT PASSÉ.
May depend on the style. Retire is usually part of cechetti positioning
@@Idk163fourty It is definitely not passé

It's a retiré passé. Some people say retiré for short, and others say passé. No big deal.
are you dancing with the london royal ballet at 15?
