Just picked up a new Scout yesterday and rode it home. It was about a two hour and the factory seat is not pleasant at all. I did ride my old bike to the dealer as a trade in and I will say that I was definitely saddle sore. Traded in a 690 Duke which isn't the greatest for long rides but the trade off was so worth it! Love the Scout and happy that I bought the bike!
When I bought my '20 bobber they gave me a comfort seat so my short arms could reach the handles. I love the bigger puffier seat! It raised me up the extra inch or so that I needed to be comfortable. Good for bumps too.
When I went in to buy my Bobber 20, there was a Bobber trade-in next to mine with about 3k miles on it. My salesman asked if I wanted to trade my stock seat for the Comfort + seat that came in on the trade in. It still looked brand new so I said yes. Best move I made that day, and I never had to deal with the OEM seat.
What I don't understand is why doesn't the comfort seat come with the bike in the first place ? Or at least having the option of ordering the bike with the better seat.
@Terrence hmmm depends if you have a big body or not the comfort seat digs into me I'm 230 5'10 muscular build and the comfort kinda doesn't do it for me the wide flat area of the solo is better for my build
Great video, I have just bought the Rogue and was looking for a dual extended seat so I'm sat further back do you have any suggestions, also could you post where you got your saddle bag and V&H's from, thanks bud.
I buy most of my Indian stuff from www.moorespeedracing.co.uk, regarding a dual extended seat Moore Speed have a few that might meet your needs, however the Bobber style can be limiting in that regard.
I was actually happy with the stock seat, but heard good things about the comfort. So thought for the price and maintain the stock look and availability in the UK I would go with this.
Hi. I'm 53 and thinking of taking up motorcycling as a recreational/social pursuit. The Scout looks like a great bike. Any thoughts on taking up riding at my age? And what about the Scout as a first bike? Thanks.
I think its never to late, I only learnt at 40. In some ways I think its better to do it when you are older and perhaps a little more sensible. Check out my other videos, but the Scout Bobber is my first "big" bike, so can recommend it.
Great information and I liked the way you model it by sitting on the seat on the bike. I have the same bike 2021, it would be great if you did a video on that head light. I have had my bike for a month and would like to do the up grades and probably will with the solid information from you Veterans.
Sure, I will do a little video on the headlight. I can't really compare it to the stock one, as I had the pathfinder installed by the dealer when I ordered the bike.
Get the mustang seat, very comfortable and better looking. you won’t slide back with acceleration since it hugs your behind better. I ride my scout bobber long distances and can say first hand that the mustang seat is a huge improvement.
@@SpectrumGeeks it sits to high for me. I bought it site unseen when I got the bike new. I happen to like a 22 inch, 56 cm seat height myself. I'm 62, 5'9" 145lbs, been riding since I was 9 years old. I'm going to lower this bike.
I'm sure its better, but it still doesn't look to be properly shaped for the human butt. What I see is a "rounded" seat rather than one that is "dished". And yes, good seats should come as standard equipment.

I put the Same seat on my bike and I love it it gets better as time goes on..
Agreed, the longer you have it the more you appreciate it.

Deffo a fan of the comfort seat now I have it.

Standard opportunity to sell accessories and make more monies :)
Least Indian could do a recall on the seat. Its a global complaint!
@@ashengineer No way, this is an opportunity to make more more :)
Just put My Comfort seat on a few weeks ago, TOTALLY DIFFERENT bike for the BETTER 💟😁👍
Worth the money for sure.
Hey all I'm saying is you really missed a hidden gem with the Indian 1920 solo saddle. EXTREMLY comfy and good looking too
I did consider the solo saddle, but decide not to go with it.
How would you rate comfort level of the 1920 solo seat compared to the comfort seat?
@Terrence hmmm depends if you have a big body or not the comfort seat digs into me I'm 230 5'10 muscular build and the comfort kinda doesn't do it for me the wide flat area of the solo is better for my build
Please ! Can you have the name or parts number from that bolt under the seat ?? (That bolt which fix the seat) can't find on Google
Check out www.indianpartsnation.com/oemparts/a/ind/5c38060d87a8661714738f22/body-seat-all-options
is it still possible to also have the passenger seat?
Yeah, the passenger seat is fitted on a bracket over the read fender, so this doesn't change that.

Hi! I am 6'3" guy and the stock seat is really uncomfortable for me in long rides what do you recommend me to do?
See if your local dealer has the comfort treat to try. Alternatively get your stock seat recovered and more padding added.
Good vid!
May i ask how tall you are? Im looking into maybe getting a scout bobber, but dont know If im to "big" for it.
5ft 10"
Hey Dale - great stuff thanks ! What made you go with the Indian Comfort vs. Corbin or others...price only? Thanks & ride safe

thanks for the video i'm planning on getting one myself and the comments i always see its about the seat...
Glad I could help
Where did you buy it & how much does it cost?
£290 from Moore Speed Racing in the UK.
Should have got it in black. They look much better in that colour.
I personally prefer the slight contrast on an all black bike.
Thanks
No problem
Hey Mate....GREAT video....one question from a short guy...How tall are you? I'm 5'6" and wondering if the Bobber will be a good fit or not....THANKS.
I am 5ft 10, but think you should be good at 5'6". Best to get a sit on one to be sure.
Hey Johnnie, I just picked one up this past weekend, I’m 5’7 and it’s fantastic! I can flat foot at stops and I feel very in control of the bike.
@@videobyhenry thanks for the great info…be safe out there.
I bought this seat for my 2021 Bobber Twenty, I hate it!!! Put the stock seat back on.
Interesting ... why don't you like it? I find it even more comfy than stock now its got a few more miles on it.

Thanks for the video. Do love your bike
Thanks, I think its a keeper :)
@@SpectrumGeeks seriously thinking of trading in my K1300s for one
@@MotorcycleRiderUK Deffo worth taking one for a test ride and see how you like it. I am not a very experienced biker, but I love it.

Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
That’s a really sexy ass bike
Many thanks :D
Definitely doesn’t look as good though 🤷🏼♂️
I don't think it looks much different really, deffo nicer on the buttocks though.
