Thanks for the informative and honest review- we appreciate it
Well deserved review for a great product
@@TheBeardedBobber Appreciate that.
I have the step up seat on my fatbob and wish it sat back a couple inches further, I love how it looks but, it pushes me too far forward and now my bike feels crowded
@@BerserkerNick Have you seen the Explorer LS- similar style but a bit more room. Check it out at saddlemen.com
@@saddlemenusa very sad there is still no seat for Indian Scout/Sixty available. Anything to come within the next 2months?
Is it possible to adjust the bobber seat to scout sixty? For additional payment maybe?
Great job and comparison. These videos really do help the general public a lot.
I’m hoping it helps. I got my seats before I could see this style video.
I have been using corbins for many years. Alll the way back to when they were just made of tan leather and no padding. The only issue I have ever had with them is a few took some adjustment to get the seat pan to fit right. They just last.
haha Thats awesome!
Thanks for the awesome review! Definitely have my mind made up. Gana be getting a Saddleman with white stitching to match my white smoke bobber!
That’ll look so clean!! I have that set up on the challenger!!
Let us know when you're ready - we'd love to build you something killer!
I’m looking into getting a a Saddlmen seat for my bobber, the gel coming standard is what got me.
Definitely a great option and top notch seat all around
Let us know what yah neeeeeed
@@saddlemenusa I’m looking into the same seat Mr. Bearded has but with blue stitching.
@@Geek555 We can build it- shoot us a call 800 397 7709
@@saddlemenusa is there an email I can message y’all?
Good review. I will be looking for a seat in the near future
Thanks bro. Saddle men has some very nice stuff. Lots of choices out there too
@@TheBeardedBobber appreciate that Bruh'
i put a saddlemen on my regular scout, had to make a modification so it would work. saddlemen doesn't make a seat for scout, that being said i love the seats feel and look. it does lift me up but also feels forward a bit, first ride was a little awkward but i love it now, the best thing is I actually don't slide back anymore like with the stock seat.
Ya sliding back on the stock seats is a crazy feeling lol
Well done 👍 how did your modification look like? Is it hard to accomplish for a new rider without any experience on the seat/bike modification?
I would love having a saddlemen on my sixty.
@@konstantinmerdian8377 well it look good I just took all the stuff off of the stock seat and moved it over all you need is a drill and rivet gun.i wish I could post a picture for you.
@@draco95930 Thanks a lot! 🙏🏼
I would appreciate if you could drop me the pictures via email Konstantin.Merdian@gmail.com
Did it take you long to adjust it?
Strange that there is no video about it on UA-cam. Step by step instruction would be nice.
@@draco95930 I wish they made the seat for the standard scout. I'm interested in doing this mod. You think a basic diy'er could do this? What stuff did you need to take from the stock seat?
You always temp me to change something!!.. killin me bro!! Great job tho!!
That’s what we do bro!
Another great video. When I get my full licence in May I plan on doing lots of riding on my scout bobber with the Wife. been looking at both these seats for weeks. Your video narrowed it down for me. Really informative. I know the saddleman will be the one I will go for now. Also the saddleman seems like a better price. At least to get it shipped to Canada anyway. Keep the vids coming man.
Right on! Also I got something coming soon for the bike and it’s got a saddlemen logo on it lol
Thank you!!
Good stuff! My wife loves her corbin seat on the bobber. It’s heated, so it’s a winner for her haha
Oh very nice! Jay fast has one like that too I believe
I was liking the Corbin seat but you’ve convinced me the saddleman is the way to go. I’ll customize mine from they’re site. Great video
Thank you! The saddlemen to me is more comfortable for sure. The Corbin sitting low was nice too though. I hope to have video out soon of my bobber out with its new saddlemen seat.
@@TheBeardedBobber the corbin is much higher in price too. Why you can customize it for free lol saddleman charges 25$ i just want orange stitching with my seat and its still cheaper than the corbin 600$ seat
True. Nice!
Super helpful video brother I appreciate it. Keep ‘‘em coming
Thank you!!
You're a legend mate, thanks for this
Thank you!
I have had a Corbin 2 up touring saddle for 11 months. Every bike I buy from now on will be a Corbin. Cannot recommend them enough. I love my Scout, but I need something more with more engine, more protection and a bigger engine for commute and weekend trips with the wife.
Modeled mine on another UA-cam personality and couldn’t be happier. Just need a bigger bike.
Ya i have the scout and the challenger just for that reason. I can take the scout for long distance but the challenger I just jump on and go for distance and not think twice.
Fantastic as always. One thing to note, Saddlemen uses marine grade vinyl not leather. Lasts longer etc. A different product other than leather cleaners might be better. I also love the carpeting underneath the Saddlemen.
Thank you!!
@@TheBeardedBobber Merry Christmas! Dumping snow here up North. I just ordered a step up the other day. I have the renegade solo as well. You dont see to many other seat company's replying and offering help on youtube. I have had great customer service with saddlemen.
just ordered a saddlemen seat, never sat on one. im hoping i like it better too. my corbin seat took almost 3000 miles to break in.
I would think so with their gel core. After break in of course. For me right away it felt better.
Challenger seat took some breaking in
Bones- Typical break-in period would be about 350 miles or so- just a heads up. Once it settles in you're in for miles and miles of comfort. Thanks!
@@saddlemenusa that sounds awesome ty!
Have you measured the metal tangs on the 2 corbin seats to compare the differences (how far set back, one longer that the other, difference in bend distance)? I have a corbin like your black and grey one and I cannot get it to hook onto the front for the life of me... The corbin site says you may have to bend it but I cannot see in there to know what way it needs to be bent it that would help at all.
Unfortunately I gave the seats away before I had a chance to measure them.
Sorry for the late Q's and thank you for the meaningful perspectives. I just took delivery of my Scout Bobber ABS and upgraded them to Saddlemen Stepup. Like you mentioned, I noticed height difference of the StepUp Seat vs OEM Seat. I was wondering if by any chance you've experienced Indian 1920 Solo Seat vs Saddlemen seat and their respective height difference.
I don’t remember the height difference for the solo but I didn’t care for it’s comfort or lack there of for me personally.
Saddlemen nr 1
👍
Very informative and helpful reviews. What brand of leather cleaner and conditioner do you use/recommend? Thanks in advance.
I use chemical guys leather cleaning products
@@TheBeardedBobber I appreciate your response. I'll try some. 👍🏿
What is the full name on that saddleman seat that way I can look it up and buy it . Please and thank you.
It’s a saddlemen step up seat.

@Adventures of the Bearded Bobber Thank you very much man. Bit wich one do you recommend from all the 3 that you showed om kind of a bigger guy I'm 5'11 200 and plus pounds
For me it’s the saddlemen for comfort. The Corbin you would have to have it made to fit you. The saddlemen with the gel is great. It takes a little bit to break in but I love it
@Adventures of the Bearded Bobber Sounds great thank you very much . Have a great day 😀
it looks like you went with saddlemen for your new chief too, so is it safe to say that you didn't even consider the Corbin seat for Chief?
That’s correct. I have the step up in the bobber and the challenger. I went the same on Chief besides the design I went tuck and roll which gives a comfy ride. I’m definitely a fan.
@@TheBeardedBobber I was about to purchase a Corbin gambler, but I think you just save me a bunch of money by helping me decide for a saddlemen. Have you had passengers complain about comfort with your chief's saddlemen?
@@bikesandchikn I barely had so I didn’t get the gel in the rear but I would imagine that would help.
What are those 3 plaques back there behind you in the beginning of the video?
My local dealer gives them out when you buy a bike. It’s a mirror with the bike on it.
Has the give away happened? Picking my Bobber up in a week woot.
Ya it was like a month or two ago now.
The saddleman seat can be bolted down to the rear fender right ? It looks like it has the brackets for that
It bolts down on the sides of the fender for the bobber style sub frames. Not the normal scout too fender spot
Thanks I have a 19 scout bobber I bought a mustang seat and it sucks because it doesn’t bolt down in the back and when my girlfriend is on the back the seat wobbles from side to side
Oh ya that’s not good
I just bought a 2021 scout bobber 20 stock seat , and after 7 hour long rides my tailbone is hurting . My question is and price over comfort is a non issue , which do you think would be better for the long trips?
For me it’s the saddlemen for comfort. The gel in it is a lot better imo. The Corbin is nice but even once broken in it doesn’t have any real cushion feel. Maybe if it had gel or something but the saddlemen so far I haven’t had any complaints with comfort.
The Corbin solo seat and mustang solo have more of a cushion feel as well so depends on the look you like too.
Thank you for the quick reply . I will give them a call .
exactly what model of step up saddlemen seat is this?
When I was looking it was just a custom step up. Changed the options. They don’t have one on the site currently but hopefully they will soon
Do you think with the brave saddle a back rest is needed? And does it change your sitting position?
Back rest would be nice but not a must for me. For me it lowered me down and sat me back more
@@TheBeardedBobber thanks for the info just rewatched the entire video again I watched it a while back but didn’t remember, really debating between saddlemen and corbin but I dont wanna change the sitting position and dont want it to be chunky like the roadsofa.
The solo seats are the main ones that keep position. Saddlemen is on back order right now. I’ve had some fitting issues with Corbin step up. It’s definitely a hard choice. Good luck!
What seat would you recommend for a passenger comfort
Saddlemen with gel from what I’ve seen would be the best for a passenger. I haven’t tried the bigger corbin rear seat.
@@TheBeardedBobber AWESOME! Thank you so much! It seems I’ll have a happy ass and a happy lady very soon. 😁
Does the Corbin sit slightly closer than the saddleman?
The Corbin sits a little bit more back. I know you can go to corbin and get it custom as well. The saddlemen sits you up and a little more forward for me
Yeah the Corbin looks like it sits closer based on the thickness of the back of you know what I mean. Maybe something to talk about on the bike and comparison sitting on the bike.
Oh ok. Ya the Corbin definitely say me lower and my legs didn’t hit the tank but the saddlemen my inner legs on like on the tank.
Interesting
Bought a step up put it on my rd glide sat on it then took it off and shipped it back enough said lol
Oh weird. I have one on both my bikes now.
@@TheBeardedBobber shoved me on top of my tank way to far I hated it
@@Walt450 mine actually sits me back. The fun of making bikes fit people.

Sell me your Corbin seat bro
I actually sold one Corbin and gave away the other two seats
Which seat is the widest? My saddlemen has me hangin off a little on both sides.
The Corbin is a little wider
@@TheBeardedBobber Good enough for me. I got the TR Saddlemen and its damn comfy man, just would rather it be a little wider. Only thing I liked about the Indian Comfort Seat. But sliding off the back is sketchy as shit. Thanks for the input 👍
