Thanks for making the video. Awesome channel. I got it cleaned out over the weekend and doesn’t seem to be filling my fresh water tank anymore if it happens again I’ll probably put a ball valve between the fresh tank and pump.

Thank you for this video. Today my fresh water tank was 2/3 full and no idea why since I've never used it in my 3.5 years of owning the RV. Drained the tank but also asked around and someone pointed me to your video. I will be checking this out tomorrow and hopefully that's the issue. Two questions though. First, can you put some type of PTFE like the Aladdin MagicLube for orings and gaskets? And my second question, if I was to install a separate check valve, what's the diameter of the pump threads and what style of threads is it because I'm assuming it's not like garden hose thread pattern. Thanks your your help.

There are only two reasons for a tank to fill not intentionally. If you have a diverter valve that switches between filling your tank or city water that sometimes goes bad, but if you have two hook ups on the exterior of your trailer, one for city water and one to fill your tank, then this is most likely your problem.
Finding a check out that will work for you. It’s practically impossible. They just don’t make one can screw on directly to a pump your best option. If you don’t use your pump is just to buy a cap and screw it on to bypass the pump completely when not in use. I will try to add a link.

@@RVGuyss thank you for the reply and for the link. I will try cleaning the check valve but if that doesn't work then I'll grab these caps and just isolate the tank altogether since I don't use it. I appreciate the guidance and help. Take care.

@@canucha1985 i’m happy to help. I’m happy somebody suggested my video to you. I do recommend anyways getting the caps male and female. They’re good for emergencies.

@@RVGuyss I'm glad I was pointed to your video as well. I'm in an RV group on Facebook and I asked there and that's how I got the link to your video. Now, I have it saved in a folder so I can share this knowledge with whoever has this same issue in the future. Hopefully it'll help them out like it did with me.
I will be buying those caps because like you said, it'll be good to have for emergencies. Once again, thank you and have a good one. :-)
