Just watched this episode this morning - in an earlier scene, Marcia and her sisters recommend a pizza place called Mariano's to her parents. The outside of the restaurant shows an awning marked "Nino's" and what looks like a NYC-style brownstone. The inside of the restaurant looks too posh for quick pizzeria that kids would run to. Mike and Carol should have just defused it immediately by agreeing with the Mexican couple and then turning the attention to something else. They shouldn't have just sat there and stared at Greg and Peter. Then they could have finished their meals and left.
